1. Hamas has lots of money, only civilians suffer under embargo
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (10.05.07)
Hamas will never have trouble paying it's forces. Those who suffer under the embargo and ridiculous bank boycotts are only the un-affiliated ordinary civilians.
2. We remember the PLOs terror
Ian ,   UK   (10.05.07)
It wasnt many years ago that the PLO had camps in Gaddafi's Libya, sharing space with their fellow travellers in the IRA, Shining Path, FARC, Soviet KGB etc - basically the PLO have not changed, they are still as big terrorists as Hamas.
3. You gotta give it to them ...
(10.05.07)
This proves that these are a people who are ready for a state of their own. Well doesn’t it?
4. Kahlid
David ,   usa   (10.05.07)

They certainly do deserve a state of bliss whith their 72 virgins immedeately.
6. tunels to smuggle in cash
zionnist forever   (10.05.07)
If they have started using their tunnels to smuggle in cash then the Israeli banks should be cuing up to cut off ties with Gaza so all banks there will shut and the only way for Hamas to pay their people is by smuggling in cash rather than guns. They are learning the hard way that explosive belts and katushas cant resist bankruptcy no heroism in being broke.
7. #1- As is only fitting, Khalid
Cameron ,   USA   (10.05.07)
Reality teaches hard lessons. Hopefully, one day, the people of Gaza will begin to pull their head out of their *ss/Hamas.
8. #1 And yet it was you oh so wise ones that put them in

You have my sympathy, this is not the way it should be. Democracy can sometimes be painful.
10. never bow, great Palestinians.
(10.05.07)
Palestinians proved to be very resilient and determined, i bow for them, they never bowed to israel. israel and usa prove everyday they are a set of sadists, hypocrites, and occupiers. History will write the latter off, and will glorify the former.
11. #4, #7, #8 It's not Hamas that's closed our borders.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (10.05.07)
No matter what any of you say, and no matter how you feel about Hamas, Israel is punishing an entire population because the actions of a few who. This may be fine to some of you Zionists but Hamas members are the only ones in the population that aren't affected by the embargo. They receive their payments regularly, as do Fatah (from Ramallah), and those who are unaffiliated get nothing. Nobody in Gaza can leave, and nobody can enter. How does that in any way punish Hamas? Only the regular citizens suffer. Look what happened last week, 80 Hamas men were let back in through the border, so how come there are 6000 innocent civilians waiting in Cairo to enter and can't. This is collective punishment on a whole new level; Hamas, whose refusal of Israel supposedly forced this embargo, don't even get punished!
12. #11 khalid - please make up your mind - which is which?
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (10.06.07)
You say : Nobody in Gaza can leave, and nobody can enter. You also say : ..last week, 80 Hamas men were let back in through the border.. You make such contradictory remarks that it will be so easy to dismiss everything you say as belligerence. You blame Israel. And yet, it is shown CLEARLY last week that people can FREELY come into (and presumably go out of) gaza. Question you AVOID is why the hamas terrorists chose only 80 people but ABANDON the other 2000 civilians? As for collective punishment, don't forget it was the "innocent" palestinians who ELECTED them cos the terrorists promised them, among other things, to get rid of Israel. This is COLLECTIVE AGGRESSION and aggression has a price. The palestinians have to make up their mind - peace with Israel or war. Choose one and live with the results or consequences.
13. Khalid
Ben ,   Maine, US of A   (10.06.07)
In a democracy, you would have the right to stand up and say no more. I think the Pals have lost many lives trying for independence for too long, yet you allow your own leadership to do the same and STILL blame Israel. Sad really. Khalid...stand up for your rights as a Palestinian, a man and as a human. You and your family deserve better...demand it. May Peace Be With You

have it on verified authority, it isn't 72 virgins, it's a 72 year old virgin( she makes the rounds and is still a virgin 'cuz she's uglier than a camel.)
15. I thought Pals bowed 5x's a day to ala mode
Petra ,   usa   (10.06.07)
No victories, no life, no hope just empty bowing to an empty goddie. ( Say, how many gods have you muslims had in the past? Ishatar, Dagon, Ra, etc.) they must be deaf) The Jews have one eternal G-d and He sees all and hears all, perhaps you should consider a winning G-d? Converts are still welcomed.
16. Khalid, are you realy this dumb
Mike ,   Israel   (10.06.07)
Remember next time you vote what happens if you vote with not thinking, remember if you vote for your "great Hamas" you suffer let this be a free leson.
17. CK, get a life... and a new name.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (10.06.07)
As I've made very clear, you moron, the whole point of my posts are that Israel (as well as Egypt and even Abbas!) is punishing ONLY the civilians in Gaza and ironically NOT Hamas. That's why nobody can leave Gaza and nobody can enter, as in, the ordinary citizens who are not affiliated with Hamas. And this was proven last week when 80 of them were let back in from Egypt while thousands of civilians wait in Cairo for any border (Rafah, or Oja) to open. You simply have no knowledge of the situation on the ground, maybe because you're in Singapore. But those Hamas that did come in didn't do so FREELY as you said. First of all they've been sleeping in the desert in horrendous conditions for nearly four months (since Hamas took over). Secondly they came in under heave Egyptian security supervision, not FREELY. And we didn't elect Hamas to "get rid of Israel," did you even pay any attention to their campaign?? Not once were suicide bombs mentioned, not once was getting rid of Israel mentioned; what was mentioned was cleaning up the rampant corruption and returning to the honesty and justice that Fatah threw in the garbage a long time ago. Beleive me, if anybody knew that after this democratic elections our borders would be sealed off, no imports would be allowed, no exports either, electricity would be limited to 8 hr intervals, no workers would receive their salary, no new employees would be able to find jobs, and nearly all shops would close because of lack of money, then we wouldn't have voted for Hamas, but, the Israelis and Americans didn't tell us that's what would happen.
