They day will come when Olmert and his gang will be kicked out of power. The day will come when this theatre of absurdity will come to an end, when all the sworn enemies of our people will be expelled from the land.. Keep faith, and may we all merit to see the redemption speedely - in our days.
2. Arafat-Bin Laden Joke
Z Lando ,   Tekoa, Israel   (10.09.07)
Bin Ladin calls Arafat: Yassir, I don't understand. You kill innocent people, and I kill innocent people. You get invited to the White House, the UN , European cocktail parties... and I have to hide in Bora Bora. Why????? Yassir smiles and answers: "I, unlike you, only kill Jews".... There it is... a joke wiser than a busload of explainations.
3. We need more straight talk like this
Olaf ,   Lula, Sweden   (10.09.07)
My friend and I visit now Israel and the PA territories for the first time. The good sense we hear from ordinary people on the streets is more impressive to us than most of the articles in the newspapers. This ladies comments about politicians crocodile tears should be reprinted around the world. Terrorism is the world's most important issue today. Let Mr. Abbas speak out straight like this article does. Maybe like this article writer he should be collecting money for disability children instead of being heard at the UN.
4. Any separate Arab political entity west of the Jordan
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.09.07)
can never be because of some hard facts: The Arabs of Western Eretz Yisrael have consistently demonstrated that they are incapable of surviving unaided or ruling themselves, especially at the national polity level. They have never exercised their inherent right of self determination and now they expect others to determine and create for them that Mickey Mouse "state" which will never be. They constantly kill and steal from each other and lie to themselves, each other and the rest of the world. They never miss any opportunity to make atrocious choices and mistakes and they are incapable of sustaining and providing for themselves; they depend on others for everything. How on earth will they ever make it?

Uzi, of course you forget that without EU patronage and massive funding over the last 60 years and US money and weaponary to make you the biggest and most aggresive piece of desert in the ME, then Israel wouldn't exist. And Isreal depends on everything from the West. You even have to join our Football tournaments!

8. excerpts of my letter to an Israeli about faith
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (10.09.07)
Do I have faith in Chasday Hashem, my life is testimony to that fact, do I attribute the survival of the Yisuv to the performance of any particular or for that matter to any Mitzvot, No I do not, as I believe that Hashem does not lose any of his greatness if the proscribed mizvot are not adhered to or performed by any Jew. Hashem gave us the ability to find reward if we abide by his Mitzvot, so the lack of any individual of performing such Mitzva is a loss to that person. What does concern me is not that Hashem will ever forsake his nation, but since he created mankind with the unique power of Bachira (choice) our blessings should not be squandered by individuals thou they may mean well but non-the-less are blinded by as the Torah states, Graft Blinds the eyes of the wise and the results are suffered by all.

The EU patronage was and is for the Arabs, not for Israel. The same holds for the UNO. Considering the US, their weapons and money went not only to Israel, but also to Arabs (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan...), all together more than to Israel. Also, Soviet weaponry and training went ONLY to Arabs, and in much larger quantities. Assuming, hypothetically, neither Arabs nor Israel would receive any foreign help, the only reason why there would still be Arabs between Nile and Euphrates is that Israelis wouldn't have heart to kick them out.

Not necessarily, we might be speaking Russian! Any if you want to take it back just remember that without England and Europe the US wouldn't even exist. Just remember who 'founded' you. And remember whose language you are speaking. Also if you want to support the slagging - off of Arabs by saying that they can't organise themselves just remember that the Arabs had organised civilisations long before Israel came along and long before the US existed.

two corrections to your observation. Spanish will overtake English as the most spoken language in the US, and soon. Arabs are the fastest growing indiginous population in Israel aren't they? So watch out! You'll be speaking Arabic far, far, far sooner than England will.

You wrote 4 out of the 15 talkbacks, not one about the article. Do you believe that the Lebanese had the right to wipe out Nahr el-Bared in self defense? If no, do you condemn the Lebanese? If yes, do you believe that Jews have the same right? We know the answer. You don't consider Jews human and you don't believe they have a right to live.

for your concern, but i would like to stress that none of the great empires succeded in separating the Jewish people from their love of the Hebrew language, Jerusalem and the Land of Israel (in no particular order). Whether it was the Romans, the Greeks, the Persians, the Nazis, the Russians, the Brits, a.s.o. I grant you, Hebrew was not spoken for a long long time, but every Jewish male learned to read and write, and Yiddish was certainly written in Hebrew characters. Seems that the British managed to stop the Irish speaking Galic in the lifespan of two generations? Members of the Irish Education Board visited Israel 25 years ago trying to understand how you can teach Hebrew to people coming from Russian, Romania, Canada, America, Georgia, Iran, etc, etc, and have them speaking Hebrew in just a few weeks, while they were clueless as to how to revive Galic in Eire. Even if we are ever forced to speak Arabic (which some of us do), Hebrew will never be forgotten. Nor will Jerusalem and Eretz Israel. As long as a Jewish bride can be "mekudeshet", her Jewish groom will vow to keep the memory of Jerusalem alive in his heart and thoughts, or have his right hand wither! Israel is for ever!

You are quite wrong there. I do think Jews have a right to live. Just as everyone else has. This article is so biased. And everyone goes along with the biased sentiment. Once again it is anti Palestinian. Read all the other articles about Palestinain 'terrorist' and look there's another one about, er, Palestinian 'terrorists' The article says that the media response was muted. What media is the article referring to? In England we heard all about it (in a impartial manner) The double standards that the article refers to abound all over the place. All this ranting about Iran for example conveniently ignores the fact that no IAEA inspectors have never been permittted to tour Israel's nuclear sites. etcetera etcetera etcetera atcetera
20. reading comprehension, Richard
israeli ,   israel   (10.09.07)
from someone who mocked my English proficiency in the past I would expect nothing but the best reading and writing skills, Richard. Therefore, in view of of your #19 tb, I would venture to say that either you failed to understand the point of the article, or weren't giving it your undivided attention. The article is biased because it states the media response was muted? Wrong, Richard. The article (hoping that we are both talking about Frimet Roth's article) slams Abu-Mazen's double standards, his ignoring the death of "his brothers" in Lebanon at the hands of the Lebanese army. Unless you can produce some kind of condemnation, outrage, or something of the kind from Abu-Mazen, please refrain from barking up Israel's tree this one time.

DR ,   Florida, USA   (10.09.07)
Funny how we never see themlikes of you or your pro-terro friends when Palestinians kill each oher. Hams and Fatah infighting led to how many deaths? How many civilian deaths? But we never heard your anger on those articles...why? Your hypocricy knows no bounds and it goes to show that people who are so biasly anti-Israeli are jusy that...HYPOCRITES!!!
22. If Arabs had defeated Israel in 1967. Would they
David Stoler   (10.09.07)
If Arabs had defeated Israel in 1967would they be getting ready to hand back land they`d won? Answer: no. Why does Israel have to bend over backwards time and time again,
23. Name one benefit Israel has ever enjoyed from concessions
Ken Jurist   (10.09.07)
Name one benefit Israel has ever enjoyed from concessions and retreat! Israel has made hundreds of concessions during the "peace process". The "Palestinians" have made none. Many times I have posed the question: What benefit has Israel ever received from the "peace process", concessions and retreat? No one has ever answered. We all know the answer. Nothing but rockets on our cities and tens of thousands of maimed and murdered civilians. Let the fraudulent "peace process" be damned. ISRAEL ARISE! We need victory, not concessions. Not retreat. This is why Likud and Labor barred Kahane in 88. They knew he was the only person who could stop them from their surrender policy of giving away Jerusalem, Golan and everything else they could give away.

The point of the article was that Marmoud Abbas had double standards. I don't have an argument with that. What I am contesting is that the media response was 'muted' as suggested in the article. Before the writer goes round condeming other's double standards the writer ought to confront her and her country's own bias. Mahmoud Abbas does not have exclusivity on double standards. And neither has he exclusivity on bias. Would you honestly, hand on heart say that Ynet News is an impartial non-partizan news conduit? For example. There is so much condemnation of Palestinians - have you read the bile on the subject of the student who has been offered a place in an Isreal University - and much anti Muslim baiting on this site and I haven't heard many voices criticising that. So I thought I'd better. Your proficiency is very good by the way. I apologise if I mocked you before.

On the other hand unlike Israeli's English your spelling and lexicon is truly poor. 'Hams' fighting 'Fatah'. Really? what has cured meat got to do with it? What does 'biasly' mean? 'Themlikes' ? er. Why does being 'anti Israel' (your words) make one a hypocrite? Surely a hypocrite would be someone who was condemnatory towards Israel but then took an all expenses paid holiday to Israel. For example.

DR ,   Florida, USA   (10.09.07)
Wow , I am impressed with your ability to use spell check. I guess I should type slower so that you may comprehend what I am trying to say. You are a hypocrite for accusing Israel of one thing but then ignoring it when the Palis do it. Plain and simple. And thank you for admitting to be being anti-Isarel. It again shows us what kind of demented person we are dealing with. One who would rather side with a culture that teaches its children to hate and kill from birth. One that uses martyrdom as an excuse and justification for murder. One who tolerates no one but itself. Very righteous indeed, Richard!!!

Richard: Where would you Brits be without Jewish contributions to civilization, and more recently , Jewish/Israeli contributions to Medicine/Technology/Economics etc perhaps you would still be painting each other blue and bashing each others brains out ( answered in the spirit of your first post- you are a bigoted a--hole)
29. Richard, again
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.10.07)
You write a lot but avoided the question. 1) In your opinion, did the Lebanese use reasonable force in Nahr el Bared? yes or no? 2) If yes, would you agree that Israel can use the same amount of force? yes or no? We know your answers: 1) Yes, the Lebanese have a right to defend their country against terrorists 2) no, the Jews have no right to live. Correct me if I am mistaken.
30. Richard, you reek of cultural collapse
