31. Did the U.S. allow german and japanese
students permission to study in American universities during WWII?
What country would allow the enemy to study in it's universities? Whoever accepted his application should be fired.
He could spy on troop movements, transportation of armored vehicles and look for easy targets for terrorists.

Well said.
I believe that the opinions written against this student and the general assumption that all arabs are 'terrorsist' is cruel, vindictive and bigotted. And that opinion by the way does not make me anti semitic.
Israel claims to be a democracy and affiliated to the Western mode of living. Well start proving it. Start by giving back the occupied land and start to give some dignity and hope to the people in Gaza. By not giving a student a permit to study only proves that Israel is not serious about equality. It wishes instead to continue its apartheid system
And don't bore us with all the usual Arab this and Arab that and Iran this and Iran that. We KNOW all of that. But we are talking about Israel here. You want respect from the West. Start earning it and start behaving like a democracy.
You name me one 'Western' democracy that has ever imprisoned and collectively punished an entire group of people.
Name me a Western' democracy that has built a Wall hundreds of miles long around another country.

I'll remember that sentiment the next time I meet an Isreali student in Europe. I'll ask him/her to leave the country as their taxes DID NOT contribute to the running of the European University.

36. WOW look at all the liberal jerks on this site!
Let's see shall we? There is a palis who most likely does not recognize Israel, hates Israel and is against Jews. But...he wants a Jew to teach him, live in TA and recieve a degree from an ISRAELI institution. Did I miss anything? These palis can not have it both ways! If you hate someone you stay away from them period!
Why can't this palis take his "scholarship" money and invest into an ARAB university in Jordan, Iran, Saudi, Kuwait or Syria?
I will tell you why, because Arabs will not openly admit that Jews are better than them.
As for the liberal British and Americans replying to the talk backs, this goes to show you,how low your IQ is, you can not look at both viewpoints and can not think logically. I am so glad not to live in Eurabia!

I can understand your point, but it is a two way street. Do you honestly think Arabs are going to be nice to Israelis, eventhough Israelis are nice to them. There are Israeli groups who help the Palis..please enlighten me are there any Arab groups who want to help Israelis? Can an Israeli get accepted in an Arab University? You say your arguments are logical, they are not. I don't blame Israel but both sides must change NOT ONE!!! I don't see any Arab country changing anytime soon.

39. 12, you're right, they are people, but not a race
thos - it can't be racist. if the article would've said that they'll letting in Christian Palestinians and not Muslim ones, then I'd say "sure, that's racism". but, denying every Palestinian, regardless of religion denounce the "racism" card. why, by that logic, every country that has border control is racist.

right on! :)
of course, if not considering the country politically, it´s a great, beautiful place and compared to many other middle easter countries (except for the oil rich ones) its pretty rich, but we have the right to critisise its foreign & domestic policy, that´s an essential part of a democracy!

As I mentioned in #30. Israel tries to be a democracy like a Western country. most Arab & Muslim countries have another systems and concepts mainly based on Religion. They don´t call themselves democratic and free states, in many of them not even elections take place. Ít´s the Arab countries´ right not to accept Israel and not to allow Israelis to study at their universities.
They openly conduct this racist policy towards Jews and other ethnic groups & religions. That has to be admitted. But Israel, as a democracy is absolutely not allowed to conduct such policy, in a democratic western state all people regardless from nation, colour of skin, religion etc. are treated equally. i.e. US, Canada, Germany and almost all other western European countries.
Yes, ISrael has to change: There are two ways 1) Israel should stop calling itself a democracy and conduct the same policy and estbalish the same system like the one in many of the Muslim & Arab countries. Then Israel cán justify its actions since the state would be based on the superiority of one religion (it´s the case now anyway, this is the problem I am talking about) 2) ISrael has to become a real democracy, remove this aggressive and violent zionist ideology, no religious basis, equality for all citizens/residents independent from their nation & religion etc.
Anyway, my conclusion:
Israel is not a democratic state and it has always been far, far away from being one.

44. 42 what twisted logic.
by that logic a murderer can murder people as long as he defines himself as a murderer and not as a saint. you would say "that's okay for him to kill people, because he's not trying to hide the fact that he's a murderer".

Ho, ho. What a wit you are.
And why is it called Eurabia?
I thought it was Bush and the US that was mired in Arabian money.
Next time you write just remember that you are writing in a European language and that soon the US will be writing in another European language i.e Spanish.
