Rice sees opportunity in Mideast talks     Associated Press
1. Destined to fail
because of many reasons, but most obviously because we expect Arab leaders (men) to negotiate with women. Arab culture is such that men don't take women seriously and this will be an exercise in futility.

2. The only opportunity Rice sees is the Saudi funded job
when her State Department tenure ends.

then she wouldn't be making idiotic statements.

4. Rice see's drug induced hallucanation's
The silly secretary had a rough week starting out in Moscow. The drugs which the doctors ahve placed her on have clouded her vision .Soon she will be seeing little flying monkeys as she heads down the yellow brick road to see the Wizzard of Oz. Poo,poorr Israel ,trusting in fools. What will you recieve for your great faith in the Bush and his hallucinating secretary ?

in any case abbas won't be around long enough to do anything about this political farce on the world stage. neither will fatah... about to be gorged by hamas.

6. Peacenicks and Arabs never waste a moment
"Police in Samaria have arrested two people, a Jewish leftist and an Arab, for trying to set on fire fields at the Jewish Gilad Farm. "The police also arrested two Jewish residents of the area for allegedly attacking the two men. "Leftists often damage throughout Judea and Samaria and then file complaints with the police that Jews attacked them and cause damage." http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/Flash.aspx/134866 Same pattern, always. Jews are attacked, the police does little or nothing, and then arrests them for defending themselves. The Jews will probably be charged with assault while the real attackers get away scot free.

8. Israel Does Not Want Peace, it Wants More Time to Plunder
Israeli leaders do not seek peace, they seek only to create the illusion that they seek peace as they continue to expand settlement on occupied Palestinian lands to create what the belligerent occupier calls "facts on the ground" i.e. stolen land that they will not give back. The Palestinian's should use the conference to declare statehood unilaterally and then use international law to remove the Israeli army and occupation settlers from all land seized in 1967, including all of East Jerusalem. The remaining disputes then can be handled by the UN in accordance with International law and UN resolutions, making further negotiations unnecessary.

9. Expectations were always hovering around '0'.
As poisonous as affairs have been the last few years in that particular part of the world, the efforts of Bush, Rice, and others was simply 'going through the motions'. They, of all people. had the least expectations that matters would move forward.

10. When Idiot Sevants Lead Negotiations
The two idiot sevants - Livni & Rice - keep parroting the same hogwash. Two states living side by side in peace. Who are they kidding? The Pals want Israel to DISAPPEAR. All the two deluders need to do is review Fatah ! maps on PA controlled tv. There is NO Israel, only 'Palestine'. Now, it doesn't take a lawyer, or a Russian scholar to understand what the Pals's intentions are. The ONLY way forward is for zionists to support the upcoming Jewish National Constitution Convention, to be held at the end of the year in Jerusalem. Stay tuned and watch for its launching.

11. NO PEACE WITH ZIONISM
Yes - I agree with ALL the Zionist talkbacks posters to this and other news article, Yes, "THERE WILL NEVR BE A PEACE" . We can never reach a peace agreement with Zionism !! you have stolen the land in 1948, the Palestians said "OK" we will recognise the Israel on the 1948 land and that we get back the 1967 land, yet Israel wants to keep 100% of the land in hand same time askign for peace !! what a funny zionism !! I'm supposed to be a pragmatic person who has always dreamed about peace between the two nations, but now Im 40 years old grew in the west bank and I beleive I have seen in my eyes what Isarel is doing in the west bank everyday since I ever seen this life, it's nothing but terrorism !! You are keep asking people to stop terrorism ( I call it resistance), the question to you now, have you ever stopped your occupation to the west bank !?? Have you ever stopped settlements since 1967?? what kind of peace you are talkign about?? It's a matter of time, and you find everybody in the west bank is "HAMAS" or "Jihad" ... YOU the Israelis are full resonsible for anything bad happens to the Palestinians including supporting Hamas and Jihad !! ALl your actions on the ground proves that you are supporting the radicals !! You have been asking Abu Mazen to crack on Hamas in Gaza, Abu Mazen could not do that because you never supported him, on the contrary , the first thing you have damamed is the Palestinian police and made the leader handycap same time you want hom to crack on hamas !!! NOw Abu Mazen is outside Gaza, PLEASE go and get Hamas !! GOOO show us the capabilities of your KHAZAK IDF !! Well, I can tell you, this will never happen, you know why? coz you need Hamas on board make any peac process a failure, why, coz you never wanted peace.
Kamal ,   Ramallah   (10.17.07)
12. Livni & Rice : The DEADLY SISTERHOOD
Whatever connects these two, be it political feminism or academic elitism, they have bonded to create the most deadly outcomes in the history of the State of Israel. Together they forged ahead with one failed experiment after another with many deaths on their hands and with many many more to come. A small list of their most prominent accomplishments: 1) Gaza Surrender 2) Rafah (& Sinai by default) surrender to Tehran 3) Hamas elections 4) Lebanon Surrender with terms that more than doubled Hizbollah's cache of sophisticated weapons and prevents Israel from taking defensive military measures (UN on the border) 5) Floating a Golan surrender 6) Arming Abbas with millions of dollars of bullets and assault rifles and training. No matter how many times their failed experiments end in furthering the destruction of Israel's security, these two SISTERS forge ahead on the wild hopes of proving they were "RIGHT AFTER ALL!!!” But, nothing can be further from the truth. And the cost of undoing the damage with IDF lives is downright frightening. A bridge that Israel will eventually have to cross long after the SISTERHOOD is gone. The only hope for Israel’s continued survival is an all out failure of this ridiculous show delusional insanity in Annapolis. Hopefully there the SISTERHOOD will meet it’s demise and finally Rest in Peace.

15. 12 Malcolm: There is a verse in theBible about women ruling
over nations and it is not positive. In the last chapter of Proverbs, King Lemuel's mother warned her son not to give his strength to women. The word strength in that verse means "army, defenses, fortifications". So here are TWO women with a lot of power over armies, defenses, and fortifications. You seem surprised at the list of failures coming out of the efforts of these two women. God would not be surprised at all, but who listens to God? And who reads Proverbs and believes it?

17. Hey Kamal -- I'm 40 too
So you grew up with when Israel liberated local arabs from Jordanian control, and built all the universities that are now Palestinian centers of higher learning. And increased access to health care, and improved the infant mortality rate. Oh, and you can get fruits and vegetables -- and a job. (Or I remember a day you could). You are not a pragmatic man. Otherwise you would not live the fantasy land that underpins your vitriolic remarks. But you can and should be forgiven: you lived under Arafat's lunacy, and truly, despite the above, the Israelis have not been saints (or tzaddiks, whatever they call them). The land you speak of was Turkish up to 1917, British up to 1948, and Jordanian up to 1967. And the refugees, they would never exist, if Arab states had not invaded the legally formed Israel in 1948. (That is the true tragedy for you in my mind). And you, you would never live with the dream of a proposed palestian state -- only as a Jordanian citizen and without any universities or nice hospitals near you. Do you hate the Jordanians? They rampaged over your fighters in 1970. Or is that OK, since they are Arab? Do you hate other Arab countries? They have not granted citizenship in their lands, but only kept your relatives in camps and poverty. They expoit your situation for political gain. 60 years of squalor is enough. They caused it, you know, when they tried to destroy Israel. Or is that OK, since they are Arab? You are not pragmatic. If you were, you would, for the sake of your children and your people, make peace so that they, at least, will not grow up in a virtual prison. Or bitter. I cannot live in your shoes, but I can know that your children do not have to live by the sames mistakes your generation's leaders made.

18. thanks kamal, for showing your true colors
tzipi would bend over backwards to accomodate the likes of you. You say your 40. So were you born with jordanian citizenship? Why didnt you go to jordan where your country is? The way I see it, you and all the other squatters that hate jews and wish for there destruction should leave. The land was stolen....but it was stolen from the jews. It is and always will be the land That the real God gave to them and not your false demonic god that claims a birthright that is not yours! The truth is you dont want peace and you never did. You just like the rest of the haters want to claim what was never yours. Hamas and plo are both terrorist groups that murder and kill civilians. The difference between you and the IDF is huge. The IDF does not intentionally target innocent civilians. Your people do all the time. The people of the world not scared to utter the truth will stand along side Israel. And those that curse Israel will be forced to bow down before her feet. You will be one of them. Because they had kept Gods word of patient endurance. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.

syria has occupied lebanese land for years, assassinated it's pro democracy anti syria leaders and now that it militaristically left, is using hizbullah, syria's and iran's proxy hand to rule the southern part of lebanon. hizbullah, an iranian and syrian arm is subjecting the lebanese people to horrific costs and horrific consequences. iran and syria control lebanon and the outcome of its governmental ellections. how is that for occupying land in a sovreign nation? how is that for using terror to hold a government within a government? how is that for stealing lebanese lives and lands for nefarious agendas? are you complaining about this situation as well? i never heard you comment on this land theft at all!

23. #11 kamal
i am not going to comment and refute or argue about all the inane inaccurate points you made in your talkback. all i am going to tell you is that what killed your chance for peace and prosperity are your leaders such as arafat who stole your money and kept you in poverty to increase your hate for israel ... the arab world who never gave you an ounce of citizenship and acceptance and continued to keep you in poverty and squalor so that they can "eventually" destroy israel by using you..... in 1948, israel became a sovereign nation, an independent democratic entity surrounded by the arab nations which immediately attacked this country and as such, caused you people to run in fear for your lives, claiming that the jews in israel will rape your women and slaughter you. you were asked to leave by your brothers and sisters in arab lands so that after they slaughter the jews, you can all come back and take over. well, it didn't happen this way. sir, i am surprised that in your 40 years you have not managed to assimilate and understand what a lousy hand your muslim arab brothers in jordan, syria, egypt, saudi arabia, etc... dealt you. if you think they care for you, you are blind. for them you were a pawn in their continued agenda to destroy the yahouds. you people just happened to be a convenient hand they can use. the people you should be blaming are your theiving inept self centered lying leaders and the arab countries that didn't even see fit to settle you and give you citizenship particularly after they all encouraged you to leave israel in 1948. you have started many wars against the land of israel and lost each one. wouldn't you learn from this mistake already? the entire world together with anrwa has given you billions of dollars to assist you in building a society, an infrastructure, an education, an economy, farming, jobs, etc... where is the money? israel didn't steal it from you. it was all your leaders who did and it ended up making them rich and granting them millions in swiss banks and villas on gaza beach. jordan could have given you a state in the west bank prior to 1967. egypt could have given you a state in gaza prior to 1967, but you didn't ask for it, did you? in the 19 years that jordan and egypt ruled over you, not once did you ask for your own country, not once! and they never would have given it to you because they didn't even want to grant you citizenship ever. they kept you like this in camps without citizenship and made you suffer so they can use you as an excuse to dismantle israel. if you do not see this, you are blind. a nation is not built and founded on hate, but on spirit, self actualization and ambition to suceed and overcome all odds. look at israel. it started from nothing and look at the way it looks now. why couldn't you do the same thing with all the billions you got from all the world and the un? why? hate and bloody resistance will not give you a nation. poiting the accusatory finger towards your leaders and the arab countries will finally make you realize who betrayed you the most.

24. Palestinians can't have it both ways Kamal
Palestinians insist on trying to throw the Jews out of the West Bank and Israel itself and at the same time they want the Jews to show them that they want peace. It doesn't work that way Kamal. Either you want peace or you don't. If you try to terrorize (resist) the Jews, you will have more and more roadblocks and settlements in your face.

25. Rice: read #11 (Kamal) an honest man.
I live in what is mistakenly called a 'West Bank' settlement, fairly close to Kamal's home in Ramallah. When Pres. Bush asks to hear Israeli & Arab views, I doubt that either Kamal or myself are invited. The Jewish refugee crisis is over 2000 years old. We have proven claims to Israel, including Shilo which was the first capital of our land under Joshua, 3500 years back! Many of our scattered people prefer to live in the Diaspora for financial gain. Many Arabs, encouraged to leave their homes in Israel by invading Arab armies, are held in slum refugee camps for political gain. Kamal could possibly trace back to 638CE when the first Muslims conquered Israel, 3000 years after Joshua. Kamal wants peace based on his understanding of Arab rights, I want peace based on my understanding of Jewish rights. We may both be motivated through following the will of the one ruler of our universe. Therefore, Kamal and myself would probably have more in common then any politicians basing their plans on foreign ideology. We love our homes and surrounding land. We often see acts of decency on the road whereby 'responsible' Arab & Jewish drivers respect the need for signaling & other 'silent' gestures of basic goodwill. We also suffer road blocks, although to a lesser extent than the Arabs. Kamal's statement about the potential power of Hamas in the 'West Bank' gives credence to why the PA are simply not a potential partner for peace. Sec. Rice, read the Alon plan that allows for Kamal to receive rights as a Jordanian citizen and myself as an Israeli citizen, whilst both being able to still enjoy living in our homes. I even lean towards Bibi's take on this idea by still including an administrative role for the PA in such a solution. Terrorism releases unbridled hatred all around. Until whichever Messiah comes first (including the Arab version), the common ground is just that, the land that we stand upon.
