1. What's important?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.19.07)
The people who made up this report have an agenda to get the Jews out of Hebron. Thus, what they write may or may not be true. What is interesting is the rise in Arab attacks on Jews on the Iron Valley road (Wadi Ara). This main thoroughfare is now so dangerous that a Jew must think twice before driving there. It is not Right-wingers who report that it is dangerous. It is the police.
2. Once again it's those peace lov'n arabs in action. Ha,ha,ha,

4. THE TRUTH
israeli   (10.19.07)
The truth is that settlers who do these things are sick people and should be thrown in jail.. i believe most israeli's think this way
5. Besmirching the reputation of Hevron Jews
Canadian Otter   (10.19.07)
is only part of Peace Now plan of removing all Jews from the area. And their next goal within that plan is to expel additional Jewish families from their homes through a lawsuit. Peace Now’s suit seeks to have the court overturn a Civil Administration decision allowing Jewish families to remain in the former Hevron marketplace until further notice, forcing an immediate eviction However, the last Jew to leave Hevron following the Arab riots and massacre of 1929 has come forward to claim his property for the present Jewish community of Hevron. Seventy-five year-old Yosef Ezra has come forward and asked the Supreme Court to join the case on behalf of the defendants. Unlike other large tracts of Jewish land in Hevron that were later overrun by Arab squatters, Ezra says his property was never appropriated by Jordanian authorities and therefore did not fall under the jurisdiction of Israeli Civil Administration authorities following Israel’s liberation of the city in the 1967 Six Day War. Ezra says the Arab Al-Awiwi family members that stole his family’s home when he was exiled at the age of 15 are the children of a man who worked for his father as a shepherd. “This place belongs to our family,” he said, “and we wish for Jews to continue living there.” He went on to slam the behavior of the state prosecution, which he said purposely refrained from recognizing his rights, deciding instead to seek to prove the property entitlement of the Arab squatters. “There is no doubt that if any other country in the world acted in this manner with regard to land that was taken from Jews solely because they were Jews – the State of Israel would rush to condemn it – justifiably – as anti-Semitic,” Ezra said. Ezra says that he knows the state acted with determination to reclaim property that was looted from Jews during the Holocaust. “The standing of the Jews of Hevron should not be any less than that of the Jews of Europe.” http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/123952 While Arabs and Jewish Leftists are reported to commit daily aggression against the Yesha people and other Jews, they make baseless counteraccusations in an attempt to distract the public from their own violence and vandalism, and to turn public opinion even more against the Jews of Hevron.
6. Nu, Steiner - where is your talk back??/
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (10.19.07)
Jews living in Hevron are the most dedicated to continuing Jewish Presence in the city of our forfathers...
7. #6 - Why? Do you want more propaganda?
(10.19.07)
You know that facts never stand in his way. Life has been good lately. No Attila, no Steiner. I'd rather read from real Arabs than from one of their apologists.
8. Today's news: Arabs wreck water supply to peace house
eliyahu   (10.19.07)
9. Human rights?
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Samaria   (10.19.07)
B'Tselem "human rights organization" and the Association for "Civil Rights" in Israel are organizations that can not be relied on for unbias information. This article is bias and full of factual errors.
10. Peace Now
R.Alkalai ,   USA   (10.19.07)
Peace Now and many other Leftists groups are funded by Arabs and Arab interests. That is fact. They have an agenda that is purely against Israel, and have been caught in enough lies, and caught stirring up trouble where people get hurt or killed, enough times to warrant their removal from the country. Frankly, I'd like to see them all sent to any of the Arab nations- to live under Moslem rule, and see just how well, and long they survive. If they do not like Israel, they can leave, and should.
11. Jew haters readying for another pogrom?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.19.07)
Typical warmup to more Arab violence. First, they have a need to show the Jews as the agressors as if there haven't been repeated attempts to kill and injury by Palestinians apprehended with knives. Since they were caught before they could act, just don't count it.
12. Go, take a look.
jack ,   richmond, va   (10.19.07)
If you believe that the settlers in Hebron are good decent people, go visit them. Seriously, I mean this. Go visit them. Surely, you can find away. I've been there. You too can go visit. Tell a local settler you support him completely and ask for a tour. He will happily oblige you. Seriously, go, take a look, have a go. See what it is like. Then come back and write your drivel about the settlers being heroes and all that. Reality is far harsher than you may realize. Hebron settlers are crazed and their Palestinian neighbors trapped. It is no wonder they fight each other. It is amazing that they don't just get together and simply blow the whole place up. You have no idea. GO VISIT THE SETTLERS. It might surprise you.

Robert ,   USA   (10.19.07)
I really don't know what you are driving at. Your TB is full of innuendo and devoid of facts. "Go take a look". Look at what, exactly? How much can you determine from a few visits? You have no idea what it's like to live there. Maybe they are not your type of people. The fact that you don't consider them likeable is not reason enough to have them live in fear for their lives, or to despoil them of their property. I could name a lot of communities right here in the US where I don't like the people very much. Would that deligitimize their right to live there? Our rights do not depend on whether we are likeable or not. Hebron was a Jewish city whose population was wiped out by a pogrom and expulsions. There is a tiny struggling remnant in it. If you had to live under such circumstances and with those memories, they may be suspicious of strangers. And if so, I don't blame them.
14. Campaign of Disinformation
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (10.19.07)
The purpose of which is to turn public opinion against settlers in preparation for a pull-out from the West Bank. The same thing was done before the Gaza pull-out. I am sure that there are incidents on both sides, as one would expect given the circumstances. I am also sure that there is provocation & the deliberate "creation" of incidents on the part of Arabs & their left-wing supporters. Many of us were fooled into supporting the Gaza disengagement (including myself). Given the absolutely abysmal results of disengagement, no amount of propaganda & disinformation should make us believe that another "disengagement" will achieve anything better than Gaza, except that it will be more dangerous.
15. Enough abuse of this word!!!
JPS ,   Efrat   (10.19.07)
"Settler" is not just the wrong word to use here. it is worse than inacurate and worse than wrong, it is misleading. What the article means is a "small radical group of Jewish residents in Judea". There are tens of thousands of "settlers" in the area, and only a handful are involved here. Blanket use of the term "settlers" is irresponsible journalism and it's time to stop this stupid abuse of journalistic license.
16. Jack- I visited them, and they're fine upstanding folks
James Meeker ,   USA   (10.19.07)
You clearly never visited them. They took me on a tour around the city and were very nice. They also knew that I'm not Jewish.
17. #12 Jack(or is it Ahmed?)
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.19.07)
I go there all the time, have friends in the community, and see nothing of what you are the article claims. I do see the arabs, their constant fits of violence, the red baseball capped Americans and Europeans that help them start violent acts. Then they have cameramen that record only the parts that paint a false picture. But you can go ahead with your lies, since lying is of course in your blood. My shoe to your face.

20. What's importatnt????
Non Israeli ,   Israel   (10.19.07)
There is no rise in Arab violence in the Wadi Ara road at all. What bullshit are you talking? I am there on regular basis and I know the people there (Jews and Arabs) there is nothing going on apart from what happens in your sick and twisted racist brain.
21. PREPARATION
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (10.19.07)
Ynet being a soundboard for the ruling erev rav,has increased its incitement against the jewish population of judea and the Shomron. This is a carefull orchestrated media putsch for another upcoming progrom,to make these areas judenrein. So olmert and his hencemen sealed a deal to purge another 80.000 jews from their homes. And again we are going to let them do this without resistance.
22. Settlers are the 7th Century Arabs. Haaretz uses wrong words
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (10.19.07)
23. #20
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.19.07)
What about last night on the Mei Ami road (6535)? What about two nights ago on the tour bus? Maybe you drive a UN car and they think you are not Jewish. Remember these are racist attacks where only Jews are selected.
24. #19
Richard ,   London UK   (10.19.07)
No doubt the TBs will claim that this 'video' is actually a Palestinian fabrication. A few months ago a British jewish journalist took some under-cover film of Settles in israel verbally abusing and hitting Palestinians and squatting in Palestinian houses. The IDF were just standing around watching. When the jornalist protested to the soldiers the soldiers told him they didn't see anything wrong. This footage was shown on British TV.
25. They act like Rednecks - Natives - actually a healthy sign

26. when squatters steal the lands of KING DAVID
jack bauer   (10.19.07)
the world looks on and says give them a bit more....they will stop suicide bombs then......give them a bit more then you will have peace......but they will only want peace when it means they have taken it all and you are too dead to say anything Before the world can take notice and hear your side(the right side) you must take back your country and turn the the traditions of the past that have been lost. You must turn back from the decadence of the west....You must turn back to Hashem. Only then will you be saved btw the title was garbage.....settlers raiding? what a crock of **** The point to this story was? I know the title was just so ynet could try and make jews look bad
27. Use some sense
Sam ,   Canada   (10.19.07)
There are neo-nazis in Israel. They are a small part of Israel. So are violent settlers. The problem people have to be dealt with. What happens to all the settlers should be dealt with when the Arabs agree to peace. The extreme left-wing activists who want to take things into their own hands need to be dealt with too. Either Israel takes care of its troublemakers or it is going to have anarchy. Israel needs to impose some discipline on its people.
28. #12- Jack in Virginia
LEE ,   NY, USA   (10.19.07)
I was in Hebron a few months ago. Some of the most wonderful Jews in the world can be found there. I, like Jack, invite anyone to "go take a look". You'll come home feeling humbled next to these spiritual giants, may they multiply and strengthen.
29. Ynet preparing for Anapolis
LEE ,   NY, USA   (10.19.07)
In Israel, there is no such thing as objective reporting. The left-wing dominated press loves to be involved in the political process. Now they are oiling their machine of propoganda to steer public opinion sharply against the settlers before the dreaded November conference so that when our pathetic "leaders" come back saying "we had to give up our remaining stake in Hebron, we had to give up half of Jerusalem, we had to give up ....etc." the public won't feel aroused to defend the "settlers", the real defenders of Israel. After all, look at all these "reports" that are coming in with such precise timing. Sometimes I can't tell the difference between Ynet and Piss Now.
