yes, but you are all guilty. This is how the scenario is played out. All Palestinians must be punished, all Arabs are terrorist. This is the way of the US and Israel. Unfortunately, though you had free and fair elections you chose the wrong guys. You either choose what the US and Isreal want or you carry on your armed resistance.
32. WHAT INCREDIBLE CHUTZPAH !!!
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (10.26.07)
"The electrical blackouts will usually be limited in time and in area, and are aimed at making it clear to the Palestinians that they should take care of themselves rather than depend on Israel," a defense establishment source explained. WHAT INCREDIBLE CHUTZPAH !!! Israel says Gaza must become less dependent of it (agreed!), yet Israel won't allow goods to enter Gaza from Egypt, thus making Gaza independence impossible.. Does Olmert genuinely think the world will be fooled by this propaganda?
33. Israel is the only country in history to aid the enemy
AK   (10.26.07)
Nowhere in history will you find precedence for Israel’s behavior. Nobody feeds the enemy; nobody provides medical care, fuel and electricity to the enemy at the time of war.
34. military objectives
tom ,   toronto, canada   (10.26.07)
as was demonstrated last summer, the setting of objectives can mean the success or failure of a campaign. in this case, it is not clear whether the "defence establishment officials" see zahal's objective as something tangible like the elimination of the qassam threat (by defeating the terrorists who make and shoot them), or something vague and elusive like "peace". if the former, then "escalation" is definitely desirable, in order to change this from an "asymetrical conflict" which favours the terrorists, into a real war which zahal can win, once and for all. but if they see their goal as creating "peace", with an enemy whose raison d'etre is israel's annihilation, then the goal itself, no matter how attractive, is militarily impossible - you can't fight for peace. and their "concerns" are just natural reluctance to undertake a mission that is doomed to fail.

36. Richard i see your still up to your racist coments
Mike ,   Israel   (10.26.07)
I wonder why you dont complain to the Eygetians to supply there brothers in time of need. Your a racist moron. Some how your strange thinking has convinced you that Israel is obligated to supply fuel, food, electrcity etc to the very people that send rockets on a daily basis. Your a strange cat. The price of armed resistance is being kept in the dark, seems thats the price they are willing to let there people pay why do you have a problem with that. I think they should be comended that they are willing to pay for there actions. I would take it a step further. No medical aid, no food, no fuel, no work, in other words give them a country they so despreatly want. Tha is the only way they will understand that firing rockets into Israel will not put food on there table.
37. is Israel helping independency?
(10.26.07)
Israel bombed Gaza's Electric Plant. But, because Israel faced hard criticism from the EU and rest of the world, Israel said it was just a slap on the hand and it will continue to supply power to Gaza. Then, the EU continued to pay the bill IN advance. Israel said Hamas was collecting money from residents to rearm. Hamas assured EU that no money was collected for electricity. The EU said it would reconsider paying to Israel. Israel is using electricity as bargaining ship. are not Israel's lies "Lashon Hurra"? certainly not, the EU are goyim!
38. Who should be punished here?
Ephraim ,   Diaspora   (10.27.07)
Please, all you Heredi Rabbi's and Torah experts. Does it not say if your enemy is hungry, feed him etc.? What of justice and mercy? What of the poor widow and orphan? Is there not a way to fight these rockets that doesn't involve hurting the innicent? Punish Hamas. Bomb them into oblivian. Take serious action. Retake Gaza. Aveng Gush Kataf (oops, I don't know who the real guilty party is there). But use the might of the IDF and target the guilty. Not the elderly, babies, sick, homeless etc. Please get rid of the incompentant leadership and get some backbone. CHAZAK!
39. #22 i see your plight, but instead of directing your
ny ,   usa   (10.26.07)
complaints at Israel, your enemy, you should take it up with Hamas, your representative "government." Demand that Hamas provide for the palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip!
