I am no military expert, but I realized long ago that in order to fully attack Israel, Hamas first had to gain hold in Gaza & then in Judea & Samaria. It seems as if the IDF is once again (think Hizbullah) asleep at the switch, and only catching on to the enemy strategies when they are too close to execution. Why is this? Surely the YEARS of left wing Army College Doctrine has had an enormous effect. Think about this - IF the main doctrine consists of 'Restaint Is Strength, if another one is the 'LImited Conflict Doctrine', what MENTAL preparation are the IDF command imparting to the troops, and how does this affect their main strategies? Are they planning and strategizing for FULL victory or just 'containment'? No normal person in this region could believe that containment of a genocidal foe is the answer. Under Abbas Israel is putting itself in the same position as the Kuriesh did it might be better armed but we will let our gaurd down because we have this wonderfull peace process and when the time is right the palestians will strike and Israelis are going to be asking themselves how could we have been so stupid to have ever trusted the palestians and believed that a state in the pre 1967 borders was all they ever wanted. So let Hamas overthrow Fatah now then we wont start making mistakes that we will regrert in future because we have been sold a dream.
