Women trafficking to Israel drops sharply     Yael Branovsky
1. Hiow is it that the IDF can stop the trafficking in women
across the border but not the illegals who want asylum? Are the illegasl PAYING IDF to let them in or has the government scared the IDF by not backing them up when they jail or send back illegals?

Military horror stories aside, the soldiers are still humans with a higher directive, and know where the true dangers lie. It's what built this country.

5. #1, I think you misunderstood
Some asylum seekers are legitimate, and therefore not illegals. the IDF has nothing to do with the processing of border crossers, whether migrant economic refugees, legitimate asylum seekers, women being trafficked or drugs. They just catch people infiltrating. The IDF didn't really bother stopping the Bedouin from smuggling drugs or women, mostly because they were afraid a crackdown may lead them to smuggle arms and terrorists. This may be happening already, now that the terrorist groups are more desperate to find new ways to kill Israelis. However, the whole point of the story is that the IDF didn't catch the women being trafficked even as some sit in shelters. What the IDF catches is a percent(in this case zero percent) of those actually crossing. The simple logical reasoning that asylum seekers are up and women are down, is that it is probably easier and more profitable for the Bedouins. A simple economic choice, nothing to do with how well the IDF is doing its job.
