the wall. This war is never going to end. Once the Arabs and Persians even get a whiff of Israeli weakness...they will attack Israel and try to wipe out the Jews. How many conquerors have come a calling to Israel already? Are you so blind that you presuppose that the Arabs and Persians don't have another conquest planned? You are naive with hope. Hope of peace lets down the defenses, and usually gets you killed, or taken as a slave. Wars never end...you can take that to the bank.

About time someone stated the obvious. Incredible that decisions in both the Israeli and US governments are made by people who are lazy to read books on Islam.

Yoram Ettinger treats the Middle East as if every Moslim citizen of an Arab state leads his/her life strictly according to the Quran, which is as true as stating that every Israëli lives his/her jewish life strictly according to the Torah. Argueing a case like Israëli-Arab peace should take into account more than convenient simplifications, it should take the religious component into account, yes, but not to the exclusion of other factors like: culture, politics, national interests, economics, human rights etc. Yoram Ettinger apparently defines peace as supremacy in war, a 'Pax Israeli'. But that has produced deadlock so far. Rather than an American conference I'd like to see a regional summit where peace proposals can be put forward. Outside pressure isn't the solution.

And so true. I dream of the day when I will see an Israeli government that is not naive or corrupt for that matter. There is no chance, none whatsoever that Arabs want nothing less than the complete destruction of Israel and its People. It's just how they are; it's just how they want things to turn out. It is suicidal for any Israeli government to think otherwise. Don't trust them (the Arabs) don't give them one more inch of Israel, certainly not the Golan. It's not only foolish and dangerous for the State of Israel, but downright STUPID! I don't know for sure who came up with that idea "land for peace"...it's not how the Palestinians think or feel, that's all.

Robert Spencer is a prolific writer and hisbooks are accessible and very well researched ( he reads arabic) The other writer on the topic is Andrew Bostom and his Legacy of Islam. You can check out an European point of view in Fiordman's posts -- he now post on Vienna gate internet site. This shouldn't be an eye opener, but thanks to our media, it is. Spencer has a new book now and so does Andrew Bostom and why Fiordman (pen neme) does have a book that I know of, his analysis is very interesting.

This means Jews should create a country in Europe. Germany is a good place for you.
