This is unequivacal. There is no room for compromise or discussion regarding the authentic ownership of this piece of land. The Moslems have no legitimate claim to it and neither does anyone else, but the Jews. This property was bought by Abraham, conquered by David, and was where both our Holy Temples stood for 900 years. It is where every Jew, from immemorial turns to pray three times a day. Any attempt to usurp Jewish rights to this property has no validity whatsoever. As the great Rabbi Samson Rephael Hirsch once put it regarding the Land of Israel, "We may not be in possession of it, but we own it."

There should be no misunderstanding that we are engaged in a religious war with the Islamic world. Islam generally is at war with all non-Muslims but we are the weakest point to attack. That we exist as an independant state on land formerly conquered by Muslims is unacceptable to them. Theologically, Judaism & the Jews are presented in the Qur'an as rejecting Islam. They teach that we falsified the Torah to deny Mohamed's new religion. In Muslim teaching, we can only have the status of "dhimmis" subservient to Muslims. The issue of the Temple Mount is a bit of a red herring - the deliberate incitement against Judaism by using the supposedly holy site as an emotional symbol when in fact, it has little historical significance in Islam. The falsification of history, the denial of our Temple, is an attempt to deny our legitimacy as a sovereign country. It is basically a propaganda ploy. Islam, like Christianity, believes it has supplanted us, replaced us, as the true religion of G-d. Our existence challenges this belief, without which, their theology loses it's foundation. The fact that the Palestinians as well as their Israeli Arab supporters cannot accept us as a Jewish state is part of the same Islamic war against us. Jerusalem is sovereign Israeli territory - but for far too long, we have abdicated our sovereign authority in the name of some mistaken idea of coexistence. Rights must be defended or they are lost. By not enforcing our right to the Temple Mount we are cooperating in our own de-legitimization. We should not allow ourselves to be bullied into submission by attempts at blackmail & intimidation.

Terry is 100% correct. Islam believes that it has the monopoly on truth and therefore has to discredit Judaism. The revision of Jewish history is part of that process. Failure to do this is a contradiction that Islam can not deal with. The Jewish world needs to understand this and acert its rights. The failure of any agreement between Barak and Arafat was put down to Arafat indicating that if he relinquished the claim to even an inch of Jerusalem the Muslim world would not forgive him. If Israel continues to allow the Muslim world to eradicate its history the Jewish world will not forgive Israel.

That Israel's government agrees with the Moslims. Olmert, Peres and Livni have already agreed to give Arab sovereignty over Jerusalem and are negotiating whether or not Jews may pray at the "Buraq wall" (formerly known as the Wailing Wall). Israeli civilians are under bombardment and the army is impotent to do anything. Negotations in Annapolis are whether or not the Arabs will recognize Israel. Israel has given up on its request that the new Arab state will not attack (remember Rabin's demilitarized autonomy?) Face it, Israel under Olmert has been defeated. The question is where will Jews without foreign passports go.

Turkey should enact an Anti-Racist Law prohibiting Zionism and prosecuting any zionist involvement within Turkish Boundries and also arrest any Zionist offender from the rest of the world entering its bounderies. Any Israeli organization should file denouncing Zionism and disclose they are not zionists before any relation with any Turkish citizen, including Turkish Jews or any organization in Turkey. To my Knowledge Zionism is classified as such by United Nations years ago and Turkey should follow the suit. It will be a good reply to US and ISraeli zionist bringing each time Armenian "massacre" law in US Congress. (possibly they again bring this case against Turkey by this occasion!)

It's been a few days since I've laughed this hard. Judaizing the Temple Mount is like Americanizing baseball, Chevrolet and apple pie. How about a little earthquake to de-Al-Aqsafy the Temple Mount? What's really puzzling is the disconnect in some people's heads between their scientific education and their religious BS. Maybe that's what makes them asshats.

The Israelite actions in saving its past from total desimation by the Moslems has planted the first seeds of the last war. When the Moslems were throwing away archeological artifacts of the First and Second Temple period, unfortunately, the Israelites were too afraid to say anything and allowed it to happen. There are many things to learn from the Moslems and the one thing is to have the spiritual strength to fight for what one believes. We have to stop being afraid. The Hasmoneans weren't afraid of the Hellenists. However our pseudo-sophistication does not allow us to learn from our own history. So what does the Mount Moriah Site mean to us? NOTHING????

Traditionally dangers against Turkey don´t come from Israel. You have been in war with all of your neighbours and it is Israel that provides you with state of the art armaments which makes your beloved muslum brethren, among others, to respect you. As it happened in 2.003 with Syria. If you´re bothered by the Armenian genocide, you better shut up, recall that the first law about the issue was passed in the French Parliament (you want to be in the EU, remember?), treat the Kurds humanely and retire your forelegs from Hagia Sofia. The list of Turkish abuses goes on but then you can begin to raise your voice to express your opinion.

Last night I watched some footage of a Cypriote Greek who was displaced from his home when Turkey invaded Cyprus 34 years ago. He went back to his village to visit his old home, the church were his parents had been married and he and his siblings baptised. He also wanted to visit the Greek Orthodox cemetery and pay his repects to his dead grandparents and other relatives. The graveyard was competely destroyed in good Moslem fashion, the broken gravestones lay scattered around. The church was in ruins, with only the belltower standing. By the way, he has no intention of going back to his old home where a Turkish family now lives. Turks should not preach to others what they themselves cannot or will not do. Observer, enough of the King-Crane Commission. Nobody says the Americans are perfect or that they had the gift of prophecy 100 years ago. The fact that the Muslims are bulldozing the Temple Mount and destroying archaeological evidence does not seem to bother you. What seems to bother you is that Israel exists despite all the efforts to destroy us.

The Arab League convened in Turkey the other day and allowed, nay enthusiastically supported the ravings of Raed Salah who called for the Muslim occupation of Jerusalem and practically for the destruction of Israel. This, when no country in the world recognizes the Turkish occupation of Cyprus, which involved a substantial population transfer some 34 years ago. Apparently, Turkey is seeking Israeli recognition of the occupation of Cyprus. I hope Israel is considering no such thing given the hostility of the Turks who endorse the ravings of the lunatic sheich Raed and who slam us for trying to build a safe passage for Jews and all those who wish to pray at the Western Wall. I see the Turks have no problem preserving antiquities in their own country, dating back among others to the Romans and Byzantines, a.s.o. The only people who are trying to obliterate everything they can are the Palestinians destroying every vestige of the past except what serves their own false claims to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

For this to be the case wouldn't secular jews need to become religious in the traditional jewish sense. Ironically, however, both the torah, prophets and tradition suggest that in the merit of such genuine mass tshuvah, there would be no conflict between jews and anyonelse, or at worst any conflict would be short-lived.

Olmert who compares himself to ben-gurion, thinks of himself as a genius. What does he do? In his wisdom, he invites the turks to inspect an archaeological dig. What are the results? The turks condemn the dig as against moslem interests. While the turks are good allies, they are joined at the hip with fellow moslems and are absolutely unable to fairly analyse a religious situation. So, Olmert, you should keep quiet with your ideas. Better still, move to Ramallah and live with Abbas and the arabs.

When the Arabs constantly deny that the temple ever existed. Their architecs take no regard for our history nor the history of the christian sites. The Jordanians used our head stones from ancient cemteries as paving stones. Which in my opinion is complete desicration of any religeous beliefs, including their own. We take pride in restoring not only our sites but restoring their mosques. All religeous sites across Israel, regardless of faith are treated with the utmost respect. Can they say the same when they use anctient sites of ours and Christians in their country as latreens.

The Tanah reminds us repeatedly of the futility of relying on the support of the foreigners. Israel's blind trust in the US is about to blow up in its face (cf the Annapolis farce). Here too we see the results of relying on the friendship and fairness of a Muslim ally. It was only last week I read of interest in selling the Ofek satellite and Arrow missile system, two of Israel's "crown jewels", to Turkey. But how does Turkey return that kind of support? They want to put a monument to Turkish soldiers who fell defending their empire against the British - next to the Temple Mount. They want Israel to recognize Turkish Cyprus. They want Israel to pressure US Jews on the matter of the Armenian genocide. And now we have Turkey standing with their Muslim brothers in falsehood. Israel needs to regain its sense of self-worth and legitimacy, and stand up for its own interests.

There is one point in the Jewish way of arguing I do not understand. You claim the so-called ‘Holy Land’ with your Bible in your hand, cause your ‘God’ promised this land to his ‘chosen people’. In the same time you denounce the Muslim point of view that of course comes from the Qu’ran. The Muslims disrespect the ‘dhimmis’ who do not follow their ‘prophet’ and claim the dome of rock because according to their mythology Muhammad flew from there to Mekka. Jerusalem is the third holiest place for Muslims – after Mekka and Medina. Why do you argue with your Bible in your hand but denounce arguments based on the Qu’ran? No argument based on Bible or Qu’ran can sound logical to any man with the least bit of reason in his thinking. Neither the Bible nor the Qu’ran is a register of real estates. These are holy books to some people who believe in their content; to me they are historical documents. I fully respect any religious belief but I think religions are dangerous and have to be fought against by all means as soon as people start bothering other people on the grounds of some myths. Every religion claims to be the truth. Jews claim land in the name of their God and killed or deported people who actually lived on that land for ages. The killing and the theft of land in the name of your God goes on until today. Muslims blow themselves in groups of innocent Israeli civilians in the name of God. They fire Quassam rockets on innocent people because they are Israelis and Jews. The Catholic Church committed innumerable atrocities in the name of God and Jesus. The U.S. President still talks about a “Crusade against evil”. Either your God does not exist or he is a cynical weirdo or he looks in disbelief and sadness at his barbarous ‘followers’ – Jews, Christians and Muslims alike.
