1. "Palestinians"
"Palestinians no longer one people or entity"
They never were...that was a fiction created by the enemies of Israel and perpetuated by the left.
|
|
2. Peace plan that may sort out the Arabs of Western Palestine:
Israel should let Hamas to depose Abbas and smash Fatah, also in Judea and Samaria, on their way to abolish the PA and wipe it off the world map and consciousness. Then Israel should get rid of Hamas.
This will open the way for the Kingdom of Jordan to take charge as the only viable nation state of all the Arabs of Greater Palestine.
Having got rid of the PA and Hamas, Israel and Jordan should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and maybe cede Gaza to Egypt that would sort it out quite smartly.
Everybody, Jews and Arabs, should continue to live in peace where they are and nobody should move from their homes or land. Israelis who would thus become residents of the Kingdom of Jordan should be given rights and conditions like the Arabs in Israel.
|
|
3. There can never be separate Arab polity west of the Jordan!
The Arabs of Western Eretz Yisrael have consistently demonstrated that they are incapable of surviving unaided or ruling themselves, especially at the national polity level.
They have never exercised their inherent right of self determination and now they expect others to determine and create for them that Mickey Mouse "state" which will never be.
They constantly kill and steal from each other and lie to themselves, each other and the rest of the world.
They never miss any opportunity to make atrocious choices and mistakes and they are incapable of sustaining and providing for themselves; they depend on others for everything.
How on earth will they ever make it?
|
|
4. YOU HAVE PRESENTED WRONG FACTS
Your article contains allot of wrong facts about the internal issues within the Palestinian side, so there is not much to comment on within your silly article...
|
|
5. One more mistake
I disagree that Arabs from Judea and Samaria "can't travel". They can go to any country, and Jews are not even allowed to visit many countries. It seems the saudi Arabia is the only place where they are not allowed to stay for along time because in Arabia theyare considered criminals (because they supposed to kill Jews but they are not killing enough Jews).
|
|
6. What will it matter
The thing is, didn't they think about there being 2 de facto entities exisiting at this time when they decided to meet at Anapolis? This is such a waste of resources when there is no definitive and legitimate representatives for Israel to talk to. What will it matter to talk to one group when and if any accords reached will basically not have any effect.
|
|
7. They cant no longer be what they never were
The palestians have allways been a collecton of various groups some terrorists other have their own agenda but dont go killing people to get it.
They have all had different ideas of what palestian identity is .. palestian is the brand name and not the product.
The product is the agandas of the different groups.
Even under Arafat they were not a united people he was a charismatic leader and the founder of the PLO but the PLO was created to kill Israelis not represent a single palestian people.
His only leadership qualities were charisma and the fact the west made him into something he wasnt and through pays offs and back room deals he stayed in power.
Hamas would not chalange him provided he turned a blind eye to their activities and they let make him make the ocasional low level arrest to keep the west and the left believing he wanted peace.
Right now the west and left love Abbas and call him moderate because he wears a suit rather than a millitary uniform but most of all because he isnt Hamas who dont pretend to be something they are not the way Fatah does.
Untill 9/11 and Sharons locking Arafat up in his compound the west and left turned a blind eye to Arafat kept going on about he was a partner for peace all Israel had to do was give this partner enough.
Today all these people who called him partner for peace say he is a terrorist.
Even Mr oslo Peres today says Arafat was a terrorist and not a partner for peace.
If your the leader of Fatah as long as you dont act like Hamas publicly you dont recognise Israel then it doesnt matter who the leader is or their agenda they will be seen as moderat partners for peace.
They delude themselves because they are all looking for the thing they WANT to see not what is in front of their eyes.
Untill they can all be united on a single ideology that is not destroy Israel and accept they are going to have to make concesions themselves and its not one sided then this wont go anywhere.
The west and left need to stop looking for the quick timetabled fix.
When your dealing with an indipendent state with a single nationaly recognised leadership then the leaders can saay what the official policy of the country will be but when your dealing with groups with different ideologies you can do a deal with one faction today have a celebration but long term the war will continue and there will be no stability.
REAL peace cannot be timtebled it could take a generation ( one not bred on hate ) or it could be quick but peace evolves its not fixed in place where and when you want it.

9. Its "almost" too late.Yes we need outside help.
The Palestinians never had the oppurtunity to behave as normal people. Its difficult not to radicalize When the whole population is sitting on an electric chair set on 'mild'.We need the 'freedom' to normalize and organize. This madness does have a solution:True Israeli intentions will unify the palestinians.Abbas has sufficient mandate and if Israel is fair he will become a hero.

12. Charlie #9 Bethlehem Where???
Bethlehem is really Beit Lechem and it is in Eretz Yisrael. There never has been a palestinian people. It is a myth and if anyone is to be blamed for their current situation it is themselves!! The Arabs have never accepted the fact that the Jewish people has returned to its home!!

13. Answer to #10
Jews were called "palestinians' in England, Russia, France, US, and other countries. Arabs were called... Guess? Arabs. They were not called Saudis, Hashemites, or other wild names. The reason is very simple: they came from Arabia. They did not build anything in Judea, Samaria, Gaza, or Coastal area: just moved with animals and wives looking for food and some jobs. They still call Beit Lechem by its name, and call "Naples/Nablus" by the name Romans gave to the town. Golan is a Jewish name, and Jordan is the Jewish name of the river. Further, Hebron, Jerusalem have nothing to do with Arabs. Don't you like Mecca?

16. #9 You had an opportunity, just no ability
You blame others for your shortcomings. Jews were able to absorb millions of refugees, most of them penniless and unable to speak Hebrew, fight the defensive wars against your aggression and still built a beautiful, vibrant and democratic country out of nothing. You on the other hand were supported by UNWRA for 60 years, had billions lavished on you, have wealthy Arab relatives and still you produced nothing but violence and misery.
Whose fault is it that you Arabs only know how to turn the land of milk and honey into a wasteland, while the Jews managed, despite all adversities, to turn the land of sand, desert and desolation into a garden, planted trees, reclaimed land, built universities, factories, libraries and roads and most importantly—democratic institutions?

17. The Indigenous Arab Population Has Rights by Any Name
Once Israel is no longer occupying the West Bank, Gaza or East Jerusalem and has freed the indigenous population from the 40 years of oppression, the security of Israel proper (behind the pre-1967 border) will be assured as the indigenous population of Palestine will be free at last and have nothing to fight back against
Once Israel has withdrawn its occupation forces back behind its recognized border and has ended its campaign of ethnic cleansing, the seeds of a new era of peace will have been planted that I believe will eventually grow into a close friendship and herald a new era of prosperity for both people.
It won’t be easy, but nothing that is truly good ever is.

the palestinians a unique product of this passageway of continents. With all due respect to the Jewish tribe;coming from Egypt , going to jordan, setteling in "the land",being forced out by the Romans, wandering the world to be back 1900 years later is impressive history!!Do not negate my right ,my family has been on the same hilltop for 2500 years .Welcome to my home.

19. GIVE AWAY
The days after Annapolis, Israelis and the world will be able to see what Olmert gave away to Abbas, who has little to give away, and the rest of the Aeab world who gave away nothing. Annapolis is nothing more than a pressure cooker on a weak leader who wants to be liked at the expense of his country.

20. #10
they are perfectly and truly called migrant arab workers from all muslim countries that migrated to jewish palestine (mandated by the british) with the help of the british mandate so that they can benefit from what tghe jews have built so far on these lands which were purchased legally by the jewish national fund and rothchild foundation. the jews worked the land, built hospitals and needed people to help them work the land. the arab migrants, rather than work for absent ottoman landlors who paid them next to nothing, prefered to settle by the jewish settlements where they got better pay, better medical care, better education, etc... as a matter of fact, the arab settlers around the jewish settlements, their birth rate has increased twofold. arab birth rate has doubled under jewish care and medical attention. th4ey earned more money, etc... and worked the land together with jews.
then came your antisemite haj amin al husseini, arab muslim terror mobs, and finally the call by all arab nations to the arab migrant workers to leave their villages because the arabs will fight and conquere israel and then they can all return. the rest, you know!

21. one people?
How many countries comprise just ONE people? Let's be realistic now. Not even the Jews are so alike by ethnicity and/or religion to be called "one" people. Let's learn to live together. We're all human beings, though I must admit some seem less human than others cause they seem to be lacking a heart, others a brain. And those with brain and heart seem to lack courage.

22. They Have Proven The OPPOSITE !!
"as a people and political entity, these residents never took matters into their own hands ".
You are quite correct. Their whole policy is geared at fighting against Israel -- they devote ALL their energy and attention in fighting against Israel. And THAT is not how one builds a country.
Being In THAT condition -- they have not EVEN started to build a country.
WHAT symptoms do we see that will give us the confidence that they are busy building a country ?? NO symptoms AT ALL !!
WHY should we trust them that they will be responsible caretakers of a country ?? Till date, anno November 2007, they have proven the OPPOSITE !!
AND --- one can NOT change that overnight !!!

25. Lev Bronstein, Muslim don't live in peace with non-Muslims
Nowhere in the world do Muslims live in peace with non-Muslim neighbors, unless those neighbors are strong enough to whip their a** and smart enough not to let them inside their borders as refugees, cheap labor or anything else.
Israelis have shown their weakness and didn't boot them out and now they're suffering the consequences. But don't you worry, you in Russia will get the taste of the same: you have a low national birth rate; you use rhetoric which in time will be used against you, just like you use it against Israel and besides, it is empirically proven that the Jewish God sooner or later destroys those who harm the Jews --Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Romans, the Russian empire, Nazis, the Soviet empire and now is in the process of destroying Europe. It will destroy the Arabs too – the Palestinians will go the way of Philistines.
|
|
26. Multicultural Canada -- wait and see
Lets see how Canada will fare with all that infux of Muslims and then we'll discuss the virtues of multiculturalism. Up to now, despite many nationalities, the US and Canada was uni-cultural -- that's right, almost everybody was of European extraction a product of the European culture and tradition. There could be a slight differences in custom, but all were Christian (Jews, Muslims, Hidus, etc were a insignificant minority) and all willing to melt into a single nation.
Despite you claim, Jews are a single nation and until 19 century did not mix with their non-Jewish neighbors, did not speak their language or institutions and were recognized a foreign nation by every European country they resided in.
And yes, all Jews are of the same religion, even if not the same denomination. So, yes, ALL Jews are one people as a nation and as a religion. Classification of Jews in terms of religion only is a very recent thing.

27. #23 Because, they do not have a distinct name.
Otherwise they would have to be called Egyptians, Syrians Algerians, Bosnians, Afghans, plain Arabs -- and that would hardly beaa justification to claim their right to form a country on a land called Judea, would it? So they have misappropriated the name Palestinian together with a Philistine and Canaanite history.

28. To Lev #17. The Arabs Are Trying To STEAL.
You write :"Once Israel has withdrawn ... behind its recognized border ".
The Ottoman Empire was disintegrating for quite some time when it completely COLLAPSED in 1917 AD -- being defeated by the British Empire during the First World War. Palestine came thus in the hands of the British -- being mandated by the predecessor of the United Nations in 1922. The British divided Palestine into TWO parts : Arab Palestine and Jewish Palestine. Arab Palestine is now called the Kingdom of Jordan. And Jewish Palestine is now called Israel. Israel means including Judea and Samaria, nowadays known as the West Bank.
SO, Lev, the IDF is properly stationed at the present moment -- it is on its OWN territory. The Israeli Army is NOT on Arab territory !!!
BTW the Arabs are trying to steal Judea and Samaria, nowadays known as the West Bank, from Israel.

29. To Charlie #18. Jewish Homeland You Can NOT Claim As.
You write :".. the Jewish Tribes coming from Egypt ".
THE Jewish Tribes didn't start in Egypt -- it started long, long time before that -- it started in Mesopotamia (nowadays Iraq).
IN 1360 B.Chr. Moses the Law Giver led the Jewish People out from Egypt into the Sinai Peninsula. Yahweh, the Supreme Lord, gave the Jewish People a homeland, called Israel, which includes Judea and Samaria, nowadays known as the West Bank. THEY took possession of their Homeland in 1320 B.Chr.
SO, Charlie, since 1320 B.Chr. the whole of Israel, which includes Judea and Samaria, nowadays known as the West Bank, belongs to the Jewish People -- given to them by Yahweh, the Supreme Lord.
AS SUCH, although your family have been living there for 2500 years -- it is still Jewish Homeland.
Jewish Homeland you can NOT claim as being Arab land. WHY NOT ? Because it was given by Yahweh, the Supreme Lord, to the Jewish People. That's why. Whether you like it or not.
BTW in Bethlehem you HAVE to live under Israeli Law. IF you do NOT like to live under Israeli Law -- then MOVE out, go to one of the 22 Arab states.

30. #29 and the rest of you in general
Religion is not politics. Politics is not religion. Religion attempts to make politics part of its tool, and that has been the biggest problem of the western civilzations. While it has been a good thing in terms of keeping social cohesion amongst a people in the past, the disadvantages of having religion in politics in modern times far outweighs the advantages.
The sooner people realize that their religion is hindering their politics and stop bringing it into the political arena, the sooner the world will be able to lay the foundations of a lasting peace the world over.
