Oz is performing his verbal wizardry and speaking in backwards logic. His false dilemma is either we give in to the PA or we will get Iran onthe west bank. Yet his/olmert's formula was precisely what created Hamasistan on Gaza - backed by Hizbulla and Iran. Will the PA in the west bank be able/willing to defeat hamas? Well, so far, the evidence says no. So, within a few months of a PA government of the west bank, there will be a hamas coup.
