31. Racism has crept into Israeli society
John ,   London, UK   (11.27.07)
Wipe Arabs off the map of Israel? How nice. It seems that some Jews are not too different from President Ahamdinejad after all. Both love to carry out a new holocaust, and from the way things have been proceeding since 9/11, it seems that Iran will gets its way before Israel thinks of waking up to the dangers it is facing. Arab world is blood thirty for Israelis. They want to slaughter every single Jew in Middle East. Iran has promised that they will help Arabs in this horror wish. Experts think that US is not really interested in helping Israel anymore. Relations have grown sour because think-tanks have been telling Washington that Israel is a problem in war on terror and not a help. Many analysts have said that war on terrorism cannot be won as long as Israel does not give up its occupation of Palestinian land and let Arabs have Jerusalem and move back to 1967 borders. This is why even if Israel ethnically cleanses itself of all Arabs, there will be more wars in the future. America seems to have realised this fact and is today pressurring only Israel to make hard consessions. Why? I read that US is ready to abandon its ally Israel by 2014. If that happens, Israel will indeed be wiped off the map by Iran. Only way out is to establish peace with Iran as well as Syria and Lebanon. Otherwise, many people now are beginning to fear the worst.
32. To nr 8: Most Israeli Arabs are disloyal..
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (11.27.07)
...and therefore, if Israel would enact a law of loyalty to the nation, similar to that of the United States of America, it would be definitely legal and legitimate to make Israeli Arabs leave Israel. I agree with Rabbi Lior: transer of Arabs from Israel, including Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and Gaza Strip is the only way to save Israel. Would the European host nations let themselves be annihilated from the within by hostile and disloyal ethnic minorities?
33. It is the correct solution

34. Universal declaration of human rights
nobody ,   jerusalem   (11.27.07)
...says in article 13.2: "Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country." We should protect this human right of every jordanian and egyptian national living in judea, samaria and gaza. LET THEIR PEOPLE GO!!!!

36. to Chaya post 27

You comments are interesting. I just want to add that all Arabs want to live in peace. You have to realize that we did not invade any bodies properties. You guys came from Europe and elsewhere. I do not know why you people keep forgetting that. You came to our land and not use who brought you from Europe and elsewhere.
37. History and facts for beginners...
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (11.27.07)
1) Israel, India and China are the three oldest LIVING civilizations today, that have existed 4000 and 5000 years respectively, throughout the ages. 2) You need historical and legal ties to a land to call it yours. A nation state and its territory is like a real estate. You have to buy it in order to own it. Jews bought and fought for the land of Israel and created the first state/kingdom in the land of Israel in the history of mankind, in 1312 B.C.E. Most Jews were kicked out by Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians and Romans, albeit a small Jewish minority always remained in Israel, whereas the Jewish majority was FORCED into exile, but the Jews NEVER gave up their historical rights to the Land of Israel, INCLUDING Judea, Samaria, Golan and Gaza. Jews REESTABLISHED Israel on May 14th 1948. 3) Arabs never had a nation state or kingdom in Israel since the establishment of an Arab civilization in the southwestern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, 7th century C.E, 1500-2000 kilometers southeast of Israel, 2600 years after the establishment of an ISRAELITE/HEBREW CIVILIZATION/NATION/PEOPLE. Arabs never bought Israel. Arabs never cared about Israel - it was a neglected desolate desert land consisting of swamps and an almost non existing economy, conducted by people, Jews, Christians and Muslims in small sleepy villages scattered all over eretz Israel. 4)There are no "Palestinians" in recorded human history. Ancient Jews/Hebrews/Israelites, Romans, Greeks, Persians, Egyptians, Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Kushites, Edomites, Philisteenes, Phoenicians, Canaanites, Amorites, Indians, Hittites and Chinese can verify that. 5.) There are no Arabs today, as the Arabian blood was deluted by intermarriage with Africans, South Europeans, Kurds, Turks, Jews, Persians/Iranians and Asians, which explains why the small Arab band of warriors that found themselves in minority in their conquest of North Africa and Middle East in the 7th century C.E. Arabized non Arabs. The Arabs of today carry with them a culture/civilization based on Greek culture, Aramaic and Persian traditions in the Arab tongue. 6) Arab definition of an Arab is "someone who speaks Arabic", which means that the definition is lingual and not racial. Jewish definition of a Jew is based on ethnicity and religion, so everybody can't be Jewish but everybody CAN be an Arab. 7) If there are no "Arabs" today, there can definitely NOT be any "Palestinian" Arabs.

44. To nr 29 and 35 - Dear "Palestinian"
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (11.27.07)
Dear "Palestinian", Please explain to me who and what is a "Palestinian" and please mention WHY you are using the word "Palestinian" when: 1) The letter "p" doesn't exist in Arabic and 2.) "Palestine" is a Roman/Latin name for Israel. What kings, dynasties and cities did the "Palestinians" have? When and where did they exist in recorded human history. What neighbours did they have? What language did the speak and what gods did they worship? Why did the British refer to Jews in the British occupied Mandate of "Palestine" as "Palestinians"? Why did a Palestinian Jewish Brigade serve in the British army against the Germans and the Arabs during WW2? Why was Jerusalem Post initially called "Palestine Post"? Why was the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra called the "Palestine Philharmonic Orchestra"? Why did the Arabs of "Palestine"/Israel, refuse to refer to themselves as "Palestinians" until the 1960s? Why did King Hussein of Jordan and President Hafez al Assad of Syria claim that there are no "Palestinians" and that there is no difference between "Palestinian" Arabs and Lebanese ,Jordanian, Syrian or Iraqi Arabs? Why did no Arab state or local Arab population of Gaza and West Bank(Judea/Samaria) establish any Arab state in the "occupied territories" between 1949 and 1967? Why did the Arabs reject land for peace 8 times? International Law defines an ethnic group as a people with a language, culture, history, religion, land and flag of its own. "Palestinians" speak Arabic and celebrate Arab traditions among 300 million Arabs and celebrate Muslim traditions among 1 billion Muslims and Christian traditions among 2 billion Christians, "Pals" never had a state in recorded human history and its flag is practically identical to the Jordanian flag of a Jordanian state where 70-80% of the population are "Palestinians", living on 80% of the British Occupied Mandate of "Palestine" a territory that encompasses Israel, Jordan, Jerusalem, Samaria, Judea and Gaza, promised by the British to the Jews in 1917.
45. To number 37: Wrong History Analysis!
Real Historian   (11.27.07)
First, Palestinians means the people who descend from Palestine. It is a fact that the Palestinians who their majority is Muslim and Arabic speaking descend from the Semitic people who inhabited Palestine for thousands of years before and after Islam. This includes Arabian Canaanites, Hebrews, Nabateans, Ghassanids, Idumeans, Muslim Arabs, etc... Herod the Great: Was an Arab from Palestine Philip the Arab: A Roman emperor was an Arab from Palestine. Arabs and Arabian tribes settled in Palestine at least 2500 B.C. Palestine is in the Northern part of Arabia. Arabia per the Greek definition extends to the Syrian and Iraqi deserts. Palestine 60% of it is a desert area inhabited by those same Arabian tribes. There were Arabian kingdoms before Islam of course, Nabateans in south Jordan and Palestine. Ghassanids in Northern Palestine, South Lebanon and Damascus. Finally the Canaanites are an example of the trbies of ancient Arabia. To complete this, DNA analysis of Palestinians prove that they are descendents of the Semitic people of the Levant just like the Lebanese and the Syrians. Example, while most Egyptians are Muslims and Christians, there is no question that they descend from the ancient Egyptians, particularly those living in central and south Egypt. Cairio and Alexandria mixed with Europeans and others. Finally, you assume that Jews are all semitic, something that is not always correct since many non semitic people embraced Judaism.
46. 19 is Right!
Erik   (11.27.07)
Let's not transfer the Arabs, let's 'disengage' them from the Land of Israel the same way the non-violent, hardworking and devoted Jews of Gaza were disengaged from their homes and livelihood.

Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (11.27.07)
just a different side of the same coin.
50. I agree with the Rabbis
Christy ,   Boston, US   (11.27.07)
In the 1970's, had I read anyone stating what Rabbi Dov Lior has stated, I would have vehemently disagreed. I would have thought the person was a racist and just hated Arabs. Today, after 30 + years of observing Arab-Israeli 'peace negotiations', I've seen enough to know that the Rabbi is correct. It's sad, but true. The 'Palestinians' do not want to co-exist with a Jewish controlled Israeli state. They have made this crystal clear. All negotiations with "Palestinian" leaders will produce the same results all other negotiations have produced... more slaughter of Israelis by the 'martyrs'. It's a sad reality that must be faced - "Palestinians" do not want peace with a Jewish controlled Israel. They have stated this numerous times - the Rabbis are wise and have faced reality. People should listen to them.
51. "Real Historian"?
Joe ,   USA   (11.27.07)
"Example, while most Egyptians are Muslims and Christians, there is no question that they descend from the ancient Egyptians" That's your opinion or more likely what you choose to believe. The Copts are the descendents of the original Egytians. Proof of this is the fact that most Copts speak a dialect similar to that spoken in Pharonic Egypt. "Finally the Canaanites are an example of the trbies of ancient Arabia." Given that the Canaanites are from the Levant and not Arabia (are you that geogrphically challengd?), where do you get off saying they are Arabians? You can choose to use some Greek definition of what an Arab is but Arabs traditionally belong to Arab tribes and speak Arabic. You can try to link the Arabs today to every non-Arab group that has ever lived in the area but that doesn't make it so even if you think of yourself as a real historian.
52. # 49 Is that right Rami?
(11.27.07)
Quote me the rabbi who said women who dress immodestly are asking to be raped. How many conflicts are there in the world today are due to Islamic fundmantalism versus the one in Israel by the Jewish fundamentalists? I'd much raher be a Muslim in Israel than a Jew in an Arab Muslim country.

54. To nr 45 - You are wrong
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (11.27.07)
I never mentioned the word "Semitic" anywhere nor do I "assume" that "all Jews are Semitic" because there are no "Semitic" peoples. Racially, black Amhari speakers of Ethiopia have very little in common with Arabs and Arabs have very little in common with Jews. Furthermore, the word "Semitic" is derived from SHEM, the oldest son of Noah, mentioned in the Bible. According to linguists of Europe 200-300 years ago, they assumed that there is a correlation between race and language. That is wrong. Language can be spoken by anobody and transcends ethnity, race and religion. Are Afro-Americans related to Anglosaxons in Medieval England? Hardly. Are Spanish speaking Asians and native Indians related to Spaniards? Hardly. The European linguists as I said before, tried to make a connection between race an language and called Hebrew, Arabic, Amharic, Babylonian and Assyrian "Semitic language", "assuming" a fictional racial connection. The language of Iran/Perisa was Farsi, refered to by European linguists as "Aryan", after the Indo-European Aryan tribe that settled in the Iranian mountains and northern India. "Aryan" has nothing to do with Nazism or the "Aryan race" - Aryan was the name of an Indo-European people, in the same way as the Greeks had different and various tribes such as Ionians and Dorians. Arabs originate from the Arabian peninsula and there were no "Arabian" kingdoms in Israel, neither before nor after biblical kingdom of Israel. Second, Idumeans, Edomites, Canaanites, Israelites and Amoritres were non Muslims and did not speak Arabic and had a non Arab alphabet. Race is not enought to set nations apart - you also need language and culture. There are no racial distinctions between Swedes, Norwegians and Danes, but they have three separate histories, cultures and idenities and languages. No Canaanite state or kingdom ever existed in Israel. The "kings" were tribesmen and they had no united kingdom. When Moses sent spies and Israelites into Canaan, the Canaanites were only ONE of many peoples living in the land, albeit without any state or kingdom. Many tribes actually moved back ad forth and the Israelites/Jews were the first people to create a state or kingdom in the land of Israel. Edomites, Canaanites, Assyrians, Babylonians, Amorites, Phoenicians and Idumeans are all dead and buried. They no longer exist as nations or peoples. They were assimilated into other nations. King Herod was not Jewish, correct, he was an Idueman, a people that was the ONLY people in recorded human history that were forced to convert to Judaism. The ethnic Jews did not accept him as a Jew and the Idumeans were certainly not Arabs. They had no Arab culture. In the Al Koran, "Arabs" means "nomads" or bedouins, living in the desert. The Arabs of the cities of Mecca and Medina were not referred to as "Arabs" and there were many Jews living in the Arabian Peninsula, having Jewish kingdoms before the rise of Islam in the 7th century A.D. The Jews came there by escaping the Roman occupation of Israel. Many of the Arabs the invaded Israel 636. A.D. were in fact Jews fleeing the tyranny of Arabians, back into Israel. When the Arabian warriors overran North Africa/Middle East, they had no intention of permanent foothold or state, they were marauders, bent on economic profit rather than religious ideals. The Arabs found themselves in minority among non Arabs such as Jews, Kurds, Turks, Iranians/Persians, Berbers, Africans and for long, the local languages and traditions were the norms of the Arab caliphate. Despie existing for 1400 years, Arabs ruled Arabs through Arabs for less than a century, only decades. Very few Arab nobles or commoners could boast about pure Arabian blood. Many Arab princes ruled over non Arabs through Persian, Turkish or Kurdish intermediaries ruling non Arab armies. Most of the time the rulers were not even Arabs.
55. #37 - Twisting historical facts is no solution
B. A. ,   Berlin, Germany   (11.27.07)
Twisting historical facts is not really a solution to your problem in the Middle East. Yes, it is true that the first Jewish kingdom was established in Israel – some thousand years ago. Germany used to rule over half of Eastern Europe back in the days, Spain ruled over parts of the Netherlands and South America, France and England over plenty of colonies, among them North America. If any of those countries would claim the land it used rule over it would ridicule itself. It is true that Jews used to live in Israel – some thousand years ago. In the meantime the country was conquered – among others – by Romans, Muslim Arabs, Muslim Turks and Christian Europeans. In the beginning of the 20th century the Jews came back to Israel with the Torah in their hand calling it their homeland. First, the Torah is not a register of real estates; it is a book that is holy for a small minority. Neither the people who lived on the land when the Jews arrived nor the vast majority of mankind believes in the Torah. The Jews have no more rights to claim that land than the Arabs who lived on that land for centuries when the Jews arrived there. The racial nonsense you are spilling around strongly reminds me of the German-Aryan-Ideology that marks the darkest point in the history of my country and even one of the darkest points in the history of mankind. People who preach ethnic cleansing are dangerous.
56. To #3 an Arab - Until Moderates like you take charge
Rebecca ,   Modiin   (11.27.07)
I would love to live in Peace, with Everyone, whole world over. But if that is what you want you have to stand up for it. Allowing your leaders to deny us not only access to our holy sites but even to deny they ARE our holy sites means that you are allowing your leaders to prevent you living in peace. Israel has a broad spectrum of left and right political sides. The Palistinians speak with only two voices - denial of a Jewish right to anything, and bloodshed. If you want Peace YOU have to stand for it. Stop talking and start making a difference.

The penal code also includes the "Aharon Barak" section: "The rule of Law applies only to Right-wingers and will be applied vigorously and with excessive zeal to them. The Left-wing is immune from application of any Law, and any application of the Law will be considered a violation of their absolute rights". and the Arik Sharon amendment: "any Right winger who adopts Left-wing beliefs will be absolved of all crimes and corruption no matter how odious and self-serving"
58. To nr 45 - second response
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (11.27.07)
The definition of a "Palestinian" cannot possibly exist because no "Palestinian" nation or people ever existed in recorded human history. There is no "Palestinian" language, race, creed, religion, culture, traditions, history or state. "Palestine" is a Roman/Latin name for Israel. The Romans wanted to punish the Jews for their resistance against the Roman occupation of Israel, by renaming Israel into "Palestine" after the Indo-European people of the Philisteenes, emanating from the Greek islands about 1000 B.C.E. As the Philisteenes existed 1000 B.C.E and emanated from the Greek islands they could not possibly have been Arabs because Arabs originated from the Arabian Peninsula 7th century A.D. in the southwestern corner of the Arabian Peninsula. If the definition of a "Palestinian" is based on geography and not on culture, race, ethnicity or language, practically anyone can be a "Palestinian", menaing that the definition is not ethnic, racial, cultural or historical but geographical, and any race or people can live on a piece of land. According to Arabist scholar Alfred Guillaume, Jews probably first settled in Arabia in connection with the fall of Samaria in 721 B.C.: "it is almost certain that the self-contained Jewish military colony in Aswan and upper Egypt, about which the world knew nothing about until a few years ago, was founded just after the fall of Samaria, and consequently it is not impossible that some Jewish settlements in Arabia were due to fugitives fleeing from the old northern capital of the Hebrews." Guillaume is certain that "in the first and second centuries A.D., Arabia offered a near asylum" to the Jews who had been victimized by the "utterly ruthless" Romans. In the Arabian land considered by many to be "purely Arab", the land which would spawn Islam many centuries later: "Numbers of Jewish and Christian settlements were established in different parts of Arabia, both spreading Aramaic and Hellenistic culture. The chief southern Arabian Christian centre was in Najran, where relatively advanced political life was developed. Jews and Judaised Arabs were everywhere, especially in Yathrib, later renamed Medina. They were mainly agriculturists and artisans. Their origin is uncertain and many differentntheories have been advanced." Source: "From Time Immemorial -The Origins of the Arab-Jewish conflict over Palestine" by Joan Peters
