34. Teddy Bear case and the Demons
In the first place, why would Westerners travel and work in such dangerous, bloodthirsty place? The government is fomenting violence against her by whipping a demonic, bloodthirsty frenzy to dismember her. Britain should demand her immediate release. Short of that the West should use F16s and Special Forces to take care of business in stopping the Holocaust in Darfur. It is high time to stop the Holocaust in Darfur.
Brod ,   USA   (12.01.07)
35. Leaders Should Be Ashamed
The leaders, especially the religious ones, should be ashamed at making such a big deal over the naming of a stuffed toy. I understand Muslims don't like their prophet to be depicted, but since they name their kids Mohammed I never would have guessed they'd get upset over naming a child's toy Mohammed. The leaders should help calm the people, not urge them on to violence over a misunderstanding. I feel sorry for anyone who has the misfortune to be a citizen of that country and those who must work there, like embassy staff.

36. Zionist Dog
She was sent by the evil zionist enemy and the great satan to destroy the wonderful tolerant relion of Islam.
Mamoooood AminaJihad ,   Iran   (12.01.07)
37. Sudanese fanatic Muslims need a good dose of Risperdal
They are truly psychotic and are behaving like paranoid-schizophrenics! If this is the way they practice their faith, then their religion deserves to be insulted in a far more drastic way than by naming a teddy bear Mohamed in order for them to come back to reality.
Pychiatrist ,   USA   (12.01.07)
38. #12 I agree. Shame on those Imams for inciting violence
They are only making their followers more alienated from reason by controlling them with superstition and hatred. They should all be deeply ashamed of their inhumane demand that a teacher be executed for an obviously unintentional mistake. Despite their fear and loathing of religions with other moral principles to offer, it is quite apparant that they do indeed need the help of some Christian missionaries to teach them a little bit about forgiveness.
Savage Imams ,   USA   (12.01.07)
39. English Teacher
This is another example that shows how extreme Islam is compared to every other religion on this planet. If the world does not wake up to the fact that we are in a religious war soon, the world could possibly come to an end. An Iran with nuclear weapons poses an indescribable risk for the western world. They can export nuclear and other dirty bombs to every terrorist or freedom fighter around. Then it will be too late!

40. Muslim sensitivies
Muslim sensitivites have gone from full blown published books (Satanic Verses) to films (Van Goch) to cartoons and now to dolls. Maybe they need a wakeup call. Dulling Muslim sensitivies should get them to see things in perspectives. Naming a teddybear Mohamad is an insult to Islam, blowing up the golden mosque in Iraq is not, becuase that was done by good Muslims. I keep hearing about the Muslim world errupting should Al Aksa blow up, but if a teddybear can do the same thing, why not go for the big inchillada? Lets give something real to get upset about, so at least they can get over the teadybear outrage.

41. MAYBE THE STUPID EUROPEAS WILL OPEN THEIR EYES
MAYBE THIS BARBARIC EVENT PROTAGONIZED BY MUSLIMS IN SUDAN AND THE DECLARATION OF KIDNAPING CIVILIANS IN COLOMBIA BY THE FARC WILL OPEN THE EYES OF THE STUPID AND IGNORANT EUROPIANS THAT S`PPORT TERRORISM.

43. The reaction of Sudanese is not surprising
What can surpise is the action of Sudanese govt , which is very mild by their standarts and this woman can consider herself very lucky. The Brits are cashing in their political chips they've earned slamming Israel all those years by getting this stupid Brit out of her friend's clutches. And now all Brits can go on repeating that the only problem in the whole wide world has to do with the establishment of Israel --no problems with Islam, just with those evil Zionists.
AK   (12.01.07)
44. Rami, truth is very, very few Muslims are ashamed of this
...and most of those are considered apostates by the majority, anyway.
AK   (12.01.07)
45. Persian CAT
If Rami is a Christian, he is thanking his lucky star that he lives in Nazareth and not Bethlehem. And if one consider the number of Muslims trying to get into Israel and live under Israeli Apartheid, rather than be free in Gaza, Ramallah or Sudan, the definition of the word 'Apartheid' is in order. I wish the Jews in Persia/Iran would have the same rights and protections as the Arabs have in Israel.

46. this is govt action
first and formost this is the gov of sudan that is encouraging this kind of behavior, for two reasons. 1. darfur, england has been in the forefront of sanctions of sudan.(teacher is from england) 2. teach the people obedence the govt figures if it can get away w/ this kind of behavior with a white lady (+) just think what they can get away w/ black and arabs muslims in the eyes of the people of sudan. excuse me for any mis-spelling ive been drinking

47. No more foreign teachers
That should put an end to it..
Petra ,   usa   (12.01.07)
48. This Is a Really Really Shocking Story
The Arab Muslim government, known the world over for murdering, raping, kidnapping, and enslaving the indiginous Sudanese people in th south, now imprisoning a woman for naming a doll Mohammed. I can't believe it.
Joseph ,   NY, US   (12.01.07)
49. So many are in denial about this horror
Most people in the West remain in denial about the mortal threat that this primitive Islamist movement poses to our freedoms. Under their religious law, women who are raped will be harshly punished and any offense that they perceive to their religion will be punishable by horrific physical punishment or death. There is no concept of freedom of religion or freedom of speech---let alone democracy. It's as if we were encountered with the fanatics of the Inquisition who had access to weaons of mass destruction and used terror to gain their objectives. Don't think for a moment that they won't conquer the world. Although smaller in numbers, they are driven by a hateful fanaticism and are not afraid to fight. In contrast, Europeans are weak. They have not recovered from the trauma of the two world wars and have never learned the lesson that those who appease cruelty are complicit in evil and will eventually be overtaken by this evil. Americans are not as weak as Europeans but the opinion makers of the PC crowd are also in denial and have succeeded in convincing so many people that those who fight evil are also evil. Thus, there is no guarantee that the US will also have the will to resist this evil. Even China and Russia are in denial about what their deals with the devil will bring to them.
Sigfried S. Kuhn ,   Aberdeen Md.   (11.30.07)
50. I just wonder...
why anyone would want to be part of a religion of such intolerance and hatred. Jesus represents love. So much so that he died for us. What makes a person choose a path of violence evidenced by radical Islam?
Kat ,   Winston Salem, USA   (12.01.07)
51. #13 - Persian Shat (again).....
You don't even have the decency to be ashamed. You don't have the courage to condem this. Instead you try to shame Rami, who lives in the only democracy in the entire Middle East. Where women of all faiths are treated as human beings, unlike in your country. Rami's politics of dialogue and compromise with Jews in this country is wonderful.
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (12.01.07)
52. Persian Cat - Why attack Rami?
Please read some of his other postings - he seems to call it like it is. He does not seem to be effected by propaganda and name calling.

and here, again, we see what the "religion of peace" is all about. when will the western world wake up and see who the real enemy is?

55. Has anyone bothered to askTeddybears if they liked the name
Alan ,   SA   (12.01.07)
56. They should behead the teddy bear.
By executing the teddy bear, the stuffed animals of the world would learn never to disresect the holiness that is Islam.

58. of course, go after the infidel.
nobody's blaming the poor little Muslim kid who actually NAMED the teddy Muhammad. no, they're going after the infidel teacher for ALLOWING him to do that. STUPID STUPID PEOPLE. WHERE WERE YOU WHEN GOD WAS HANDING OUT BRAINS?
(12.01.07)
59. teacher gibbons in kartoum
I'm sorry but we as british citizens are expected to respect and embrace every persons religion and beliefs in a modern society, despite there being a great influx of immigrants into out country, yet we are subject to foreign rules and regulations i.e unjustified, innocent naming of a teddy bear ' mohammed'. If the British consulate let this unfortunate, maybe ill informed teacher be lashed or even worse, executed as called by the Sudanese, then heavens help us all. Why cant Britiain then IMPOSE the same rules and regulation of foreign governments as they see fit to impose on an INNOCENT teacher. Its time Britain took a stance a stood up to these foreign coutries whose laws are archaic and totally unreasonable.
(12.01.07)
60. Persian Puss - #12, 100% !!
no generalization - MUSLIMS SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED - NOT JUST OF THIS - BUT COUNTLESS EVENTS, ALL THE TIME, DIG, PERSIAN PUDDI TAT (& the rest of you backward ones)?
