1. you Israelis will let this go unanswered?
Avraham ,   NYC   (12.03.07)
2. Evacuate and compensate them!
Zion Watchman ,   Switzerland   (12.03.07)
Because anywhere, according to the Israeli government, where Jews are not accepted, they have to leave. So, according to government logic, Jews need to be evacuated not only from Yesha, but also from Sderot and Kirjat Shmona. As silly as it is, but this is the defeatist left's logic!
3. #1 avraham nyc, what are you going to do abt it?
leroy   (12.03.07)

5. The Jews of Israel
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Samaria   (12.03.07)
The Jews of Israel are sitting in a hijacked airplane. To avoid it piloted into a target (the west) we, the passengers, have to get our asses off from our comfortable seats and take command of the plane, even if the soft female voice of the cabin-crew keeps telling us that everything is alright and all is for the best.
6. #5: Um, perhaps that makes sense in Hungarian
5th generation ,   Israel   (12.03.07)
but here you were lost in translation. What is clear, however, is that you are somehow hateful of us enough to have earned a trip back home.
7. Pogroms, Murders, Mortars, Rapes
Jesse ,   Israel   (12.03.07)
Welcome to Intifada 2007.
8. 2 States for 2 Peoples
Eliezer ,   Newark, USA   (12.03.07)
According to this theory, where do the residents of Peki'in belong? Integration it seems is only incumbent upon Jews.
9. Jews under threat... in Israel?
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.03.07)
n a way, this shouldn't be surprising. The Jews of Israel have reverted to form, seeking out the approval of the Gentile authorities who long determined their fate, always trying to show how useful is their presence. This is described quite well in Ruth Wisse' recently published "Jews and Power". We see it repeatedly in Israel's dealings with the UN and EU, with its Arab neighbors, even with the US. We saw it last week when Israel had to suffer every indignity almost to the point of groveling. We see it in Israel when it tolerates pogroms in Pekiin or Akko. That the De Jungs would consider returning to Holland, where anti-Semitism is also to be found, is understandable. If they can't be safe from such indignities in the Jewish homeland, then what's the point?
10. behold - the ultimate fruit of the left

11. NOW IS THE TIME TO BLOW THE SHOFARS
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (12.03.07)
THER HAS ALWAYS BEEN A JEWISH PRESENCE IN PEKIN,EVEN WHEN THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED BY THE ROMANS.IT IS THE ONLY AREA THAT COULD PROUDLY PROCLAIME THAT THEY WERE NEVER DEFEATED.WHAT THE EXODUS OF THE LAST FAMILY PORTRAYS IS ONE WORSE THAN OBSERVING T'SHA B'AV.PERHAPS THIS IS TO BE EXPECTED AS OUR ONCE RELIGIOUS STATE HAS WOVEN ITSELF INTO A COAT OF MANY COLOURFUL IDEAS,CHANUKA IS A SIGN OF SPIRITUAL REVERSAL OF THIS TREND,AND SO MAY WE PRAY THAT PLEASE" G'D "THE PEOPLE OF PEKIN WILL SOON RETURN TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR PRIVILEDGED PAST.WHO WILL DENY THAT THIS IS NOT A TRAGEDY FOR ALL OF US ALL.
12. Between feasting on pig and yukking it up Abu Whathisface

The left have everything under control.
13. ISRAEL: CONTINUE DOWN THIS ROAD AND FORGET ABOUT JEWISH SUPP
(12.03.07)
SUPPORT FROM OVER SEES IF YOU DONT care about yourself why should we care about you
14. Peki'in - a lesson in trying to co-exist with Arabs
Alan ,   Silver Spring USA   (12.03.07)
The Zegelmans' sad experience in Peki'in -- even that won't wake up those Israeli leftists who really believe against all evidence that there is any chance of the Arabs in Israel being good citizens of the Jewish state. The Zegelmans' crime -- being Jewish. In their own way, the Peki'in Moslems have voted by their criminal deeds for their expulsion to "Palestine" -- namely to Jordan. In the meantime, the Israel Youth Hostel organization and all other Israeli organizations, tourists, and shoppers should boycott Peki'in. Then the leftist press can bemoan who Israeli Arabs suffer economically!
15. Imagine the shrieks if "Jewish settlers" drove out Arabs
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (12.03.07)
This is an ancient Jewish village, well within the "Green Line." Ho hum.
16. Leroy, message #3
Avraham ,   NYC   (12.03.07)
I don't live in Israel, 'cause it lacks the resolve to prevent things that are happening in Peki'in (with all its military and police might) and instead were busy destroying Jewish communities in Gaza and Shomron. That's why.
17. Israel is too weak with Arabs
Frank ,   Canada   (12.03.07)
If Arabs don't want Jews in their towns, Arabs must not be prevented from living in Jewish towns. Reciprocity must be the rule. This kind of discrimination against the Jews must stop.
18. Why has it always been dangerous throughout history for Jews
Rivkah   (12.03.07)
wherever they lived? The devil is jealous of the birthright and favor the Lord gave to the holy line that is not as corrupted by fallen angels as other DNA heritages. Noah was perfect in his generation which meant his genetics as not polluted with the genetics of fallen angels as was the case for those who perished in the Great Flood. DNA studies show that all mankind goes back to the DNA of one man: Noah. Whoever has the DNA closest to that purity of soul and body of Noah, is less polluted than others on the earth. The Jews have maintained that purity as best they could or at least better than other races and groups. So the Devil hates them. It is good that there is something so fine that the Devil hates them. Who would want to be loved by the Devil when the Devil only loves his own? It is better to be persecuted for being righteous than to live in peace in the Devil's camp.
19. The government should move in a hundred
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.03.07)
Jewish families. If we had police in Israel they could investigate who is instigating our Druze and Bedouin friends. Whoever is responsible should be humiliated in their village and then jailed for life.
20. Very sad.....
Rami ,   Nazareth, israel   (12.03.07)
i'm not sure if there is more to this story that what is written, but I think that the druze should not have done this. They should volunteer to fix up the house and welcome the family back with open arms, mind and heart....
21. ***Stay a way from the Druze***
Salman ,   Bet Jan   (12.03.07)
Most Israelis know what the Druze stand for and they Know that Jews has been living in Pki’in for hundreds of years. Ask these west bank settlers: 1. Way they want to “resettle Pki’in” ? 2. What is the “Pki’in For Ever” grope? 3. Who is really paying for the homes they bay? 4. What kind of shady deals are behind the perches?
22. Nobody will miss them
Rob ,   USA   (12.04.07)
Israel has pursued sixty years of racist policies designed to steal the Palestinians' land and rob them of their dignity. Integration begins with equal rights, and is grounded in justice. Maybe these families didn't deserve to pay the price of this history. But the Druze are right to fight back, even if they chose the wrong target. As the Bard says, "Wrong us, shall we not revenge?"
23. But the settlers have driven them out...
EA ,   USA   (12.04.07)
Could it be the demolitions of Druz and Bedouin homes?...It's interesting that you can't connect the dots...Maybe they don't want more settlers vandalizing their homes...
24. A SHAME!!!! Jews have to flee pogroms in Israel and
uli ,   jerusalem   (12.04.07)
the state does not protect them!!!
25. #1-you leave unanswered by living in Hutz L'Aretz
Akiva ,   Maaleh Adumim   (12.04.07)
Are we supposed to be any more patriotic than you?
26. Pekin
Mary ,   Merritt Canada   (12.05.07)
I have not heard of Pekiin before but your idea of Israel pursuing 60 years of racist history is false..Israel was the Jewish promised land long before Abraham..and if it hadn't been for the fact that Abraham and Sarah disobeyed God, there would never have been an Arab peoples..the rightful heir to the Abrahamic line was Isaac not Ishmael.. Israel will always be a Jewish land formost..till the coming of the Messiah Jesus..
