And what do you receive in return? Well, it was ISRAEL who attacked the nuclear facility in Iraq in the 80's, and the whole world was upset. ISRAEL provided the US with intelligence about 9/11 long before it happened. ISRAEL was the only country in the world who had our own rescue team (second to no one in the world!) ready at a second's notice to help with the efforts at the Twin Towers. It is ISRAEL that helps train your police force to deal with potential terror threats, help with airport security in your county and yes even developed the majority of the technology on your computer and cell phone not to mention medical advances. I am a supporter of the United States, but lets not pretend that the US is not without fault. The US has repeatedly asked Israel "show restraint" at the risk of her citizens, including durring the first Gulf war when we wanted to attack. By the way, it was Israeli mothers and other citizens running to supply hostpitality to US troops while they were here to "protect" us. This is a two way street where the US does plenty of things that Israel doesn't like and can be a thorn in our side and vice versa, and if you don't like it, you can just return all of the modern conveniences that were provided to you by Israel or Israelis, you might be suprised to see how much you would have to give up.

Being supported by an ally is one thing, becoming totally dependent on it is another. The courage, fearlessness and power that Israeli soldiers showed in three wars preceding the peace with Egypt, it all started to disappear. In the Lebanon war, nothing was left of it. Americans only seem to support Israel, when Israel is doing well and is strong. Now both USA and Israel have created a situation where Israel is totally depending on USA and USA is turning its back on Israel. It is a bad, dangerous situation.
