I am trying to answer your question with the following points: 1- your question prooves your ignorance in Lebanon's political structure. 2- Lebanon is not a democracy but rather it goes this way: public offices are alocated along religious lines, with the top three positions in the ruling "troika" distributed as follows: * The President is required to be a Maronite Christian; * The Prime Minister, a Sunni Muslim, and * The Speaker of the Parliament, a Shi'a Muslim. the parliament is elected directly by the people with seats allocated for every religious sector. so this is how democracy works in Lebanon by agreement. 3-The Muslims never ever even hinted they want the presidency. 4- The current conflict is between goverment and opposition and both sides have christians and muslims members and activists. 5- better you keep your question to your self and before mingling in lebanese politics go and learn first.

The majority of Lebanese around the world are Christian. They immigrate from their country because of intimidation by Syrians and Palestinians who are occupying parts of Lebanon.

Your Arab "brothers" will put an end to Christianity in the Middle-East. The only country that does NOT persecute you is Israel. Yet, your communities manage to be consistantly anti-Israel, even here in Israel. Real smart.

Fighting for equality in the country you live and being pro-justice does not mean being anti-Israel. Sadly you are wrong. If Israel had any will, there would have been peace with the Lebanese. Instead internal Israeli politics and the fact that Syrian intelligence defeated the Mossad in the 1982 put an end to the chance for peace with Lebanon. The last nail in the coffin was when Ehud Barak stabbed the SLA heros in the back, perhaps the most foul treachery in Jewish history. Israel owes the Lebanese Christians an apology.
