no ceasefire, let them beg for mercy!
4. mercy
Invicta ,   Europa   (12.18.07)
Not a bad payback - Israel bulldozes houses, rips up trees, steals land, fires missiles from jet fighters into built-up areas, builds a wall around a million people, kills children, murders foreign journalists and those nasty men from Islamic Jihad destroy a hen house. Oh, the outrage !
5. Re: mercy
Mac Larkin ,   NS   (12.18.07)
Oh yes, and Invicta states the truth??? that Israel is "stealing land" and are the bad guys!!? I seriously wonder what this one has been smoking? At least there was no injuries in the henhouse. These type of statements spewed out by one Invicta really do not even deserve a response, outside this "Israel, keep up the work, but increase the payback a hundredfold!"
6. Reyaliation????
Micha   (12.18.07)
they were shelling the Negev without any Israeli provocation other than being a Jewish state.

Invicta, Are you aware of just how much destruction, pain, and suffering this gorup has done to people around the WORLD? You are wrong to say payback, this IDF response was in the name of hundreds of people who have been greatly hurt (pyhsically, emotionally, or pyschologically) for many years! Jihad kills, murders, and KIDNAPS innocent civilians as part of their mission to annihilate Israel and other people in the world (Daniel Pearlman--American journalist). The wall, of which only 3% is an actual wall, was built ONLY because THEIR terrorist were crossing borders and killing innocent civilian. Because of the fence, suicide bombers, attacks, and attempts to infiltrate the Isael's borders and carry out suicide mission have decreased by 90%. That is just for starters in response to your comment. you should learn your facts and ensure that WHEN you speak up, you are at least saying things correctly!

Ralph Levy ,   USA   (12.18.07)
The problem is this will not work. Unless a real embargo of power and trade from Israel occurrs and a buffer zone is in place inside Gaza short of a full blown invasion this is too little too late. American Money, Arms, and support to Abbas from Olmert Peres,Barak, Livni and the US is to blame for the rockets. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com/

The Israeli West Bank barrier / Wall is a separation barrier being constructed by Israel consisting of a network of fences with vehicle-barrier trenches surrounded by an on average 60 meters wide exclusion area (90%) and up to 8 meters high concrete walls (10%). It is located mainly within the West Bank, partly along the 1949 Armistice line, or "Green Line" between Israel and Jordan which now demarcates the West Bank. As of April 2006 the length of the barrier as approved by the Israeli government is 703 kilometers (436 miles) long. Approximately 58.04% has been constructed, 8.96% is under construction, and construction has not yet begun on 33% of the barrier. The 11.3 kilometer fence that surrounds the West Bank town of Qalqilyah, will isolate the town not only from Israel, but from the rest of the West Bank as well. Only one road will connect Qalqilyah to the West Bank, but that road is blocked by an Israeli check-point.

Let's balance your obviously one-sided spew: "Not a bad payback - Palestinians bomb buses and markets, murders and kidnaps civilians, vandalize houses, fires missiles from Gaza into built-up areas, kills children, murders foreign journalists and those nasty men from the IDF try to stop it. Oh, the outrage ! " And I'll counter the "rips up trees" with "pirate cars" - steal cars in Israel, re-register them in Gaza, and all with the PA's blessing.

Daniel Pearlman was not killed by Hamas or any other Palestinians but by the National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty. Based in a country which is fully supported by the US. Why not invade Pakistan then? Since 2000, 1,027 Israelis have been killed. In the same period 4,345 Palestinians have been killed of which 971 were children. This figure does not include the Palestinians who have died because they have been unable to access medical aid due to israeli road blocks and border closures. Please list the atrocities committed by Hamas and what exactly Hamas has 'done to people around the WORLD?' (your words)

jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.18.07)
you eurabians killed enough Jews. No more! We will fight back and destroy our enemies. you eurabians will become the slaves of your future arab masters. Israel will do what it has to to survive and we will never again be slaughtered! That includes killing whoever tries to kill us. Remember the arabs are trespassers on our Jewish land and will be removed, perhaps to eurabia.
14. Stop the Food, Electricity and Fuel NOW
Dave Levy ,   Burban. CAUSA   (12.18.07)
To my shame, as an ardent US Zionist, I impeach the residents of Israel to stop their whining. I mean, for months now, the resident so Sderot have been demanding much stronger action by the IDF, knowing full well that the Pals militants will only up their violence. You cannot have it both ways. Israel WAITED TOO LONG for this latest incursion, a pin prick however. It's okay for 500,000 Hamas members to shout for Israel's destruction, yet when Israel launches a miniscule raid, they also scream bloody murder. The headlines, "Gaza Streets in abaze" didn't show the rally alongside. Iran is poking it's criminal noses into this latest incursion saying"They are concerned". Wowowo. Israel should respond to them too..."Don't tread on us, we are not Iraq". "We will take our your nuke plants if you dare aid the Pals thugs". Until Israel destory Hamas once and for all, this will only get worse Israel mus stop all electricity and fuel from going into the Strip..stop the food supplied too. Let them starve to death. Also seal off the borders into Egypt.

They, Hamas and the IDF are both as bad as eachother. The only difference is that Hamas fight with home made bombs and AK47s and the IDF have all the latest US technology. And still can't suppress them. Or Hizbollah for that matter.

Where is Eurabia? Close to Narnia? Eurabia does not exist - it is a figment of the imagination of the anti - arabs. Why is Palestine Jewish? Oh, yes the bible. But most people don't read or beleive the bible so it's hardly a truth. And also the bible is metaphor not literal.
17. #9 Richard - And the result: NO SUCCESSFUL SUICIDE BOMBINGS
Umm El Kul Naqba   (12.18.07)
Richard, The PALs brought it on themselves with their constant terrorist attacks. We put up the Fence, sealed the borders, put up roadblocks and border crossing. RESULT: Dramatic decrease in penetrations and terror. The battle is TERROR vs. COUNTER-TERROR. PALs represent TERROR and we are the avant guard of COUNTER-TERROR in the world showing them how to defeat TERROR. Well the PAL did it to themselves and deserve all the suffering as a direct result of their TERROR.
18. #4, a moron pontificates again
Danny   (12.18.07)
What houses are being bulldozed in Gaza? What trees are being ripped up in Gaza? What land is being "stolen" in Gaza? Is this like your imaginary camps that Israel has it Israeli arabs in? Would you be happier if instead of hitting **MILITANTS** - and no one is disputing that's what the dead are - Israel followed in the Palestinians path and started shooting randomly into Gaza?
19. #9 and again so what?
Danny   (12.18.07)
We have a fence on the North that was built on the border because Hizbollah insisted it was built well inside Israeli territory. Maybe we should go whinning to ICJ? Pity we don't have a load of tame Israelis on the panel to pass any old nonsense - the non-arabs in the decision were all either against or had major reservations. You of course wouldn't know this because you only get your second-hand information from IhateIsrael.org and have an allergy to reading the primary sources, presumably because they don't back up your claims.
20. #7, now we know you are simply lying
Danny   (12.18.07)
Because we have been through these figures with you. The "children" figure is meaningless, as "children" as young as 14 have been used on militant operations. The fact remains that 68% of Israeli deaths are civilians and less than 40% of Palestinian deaths even approximate civilians. But we KNOW you don't care about facts, we know these figures are meaningless to you, we now see you don't think blanket fire of rockets at **JEWISH** civilians is wrong, you don't this suicide bombings are atrocities - otherwise you be able to make your own list - but you are OUTRAGED at 17 year old "children" with assault rifles getting killed when attacking a checkpoint. You just hate Israel. PS Daniel Pearlman was killed by a british muslim simply because he was Jewish. The Pakistani government hunted him and his group down and he is either awaiting execution or has been executed. What he wasn't was the government of Pakistan whereas Hamas is the government of the Palestinians. But hey, who cares about facts?
21. #12 and #14, you have invicta and Dick all wrong
Danny   (12.18.07)
They don't care about Palestinians, they just want to sound off about trendy causes. Do "brave battle" with the Zionist enemy on a computer. Heaven forbid they actually do something positive. When they suggest Palestinians carry on resisting, then mean Palestinians and Israelis should carry on dying not that they should be in the slightest danger of a drop of THEIR blood being split. Where's the kudos in the pub for that?

26. #15, yeah afraid the stats don't back you up
Danny   (12.18.07)
68% of Israelis killed in the second Intifada are civilians. less than 40% of Palestinians are. As for suppressing Hamas, we went from 118 dead in March 2002 to in 11 in the whole of 2007. Seem pretty suppressed to me. On the northern border we went from weekly shellings and monthly attempts at kidnappings to almost complete silence on the border for 18 months. Again pretty suppressed to me.

On 9 July 2004, the International Court of Justice, in The Hague, gave its advisory opinion on the question of the legality of the separation barrier being built by Israel. The opinion was given pursuant to the request of the UN General Assembly of 3 December 2004. Israel refused to cooperate in the proceeding, contending that the court did not have jurisdiction to hear the matter. In a document that it submitted to the court, Israel argued that the question involved was political and not legal, and should be dealt with bilaterally, between it and the Palestinians. In a majority decision, the court denied Israel's argument. In a minority opinion, one of the judges held that the court did not have sufficient information to render an opinion on the question, and thus lacked the authority to hear it. Before dealing with the substantive matters, the court explained that its opinion related only to those sections of the separation barrier that were built, or will be built outside the Green Line [in the Occupied Territories]. The first main issue discussed in the opinion relates to the effects of the barrier on the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination. The court "recorded" the promise made by Israel that the barrier was intended only as a temporary security measure. However, the court pointed out that there is a grave fear that the barrier's route would create "facts on the ground" that lead to the de facto annexation of the territory and determination of the future borders between Israel and a Palestinian state. The court believed that de facto annexation of parts of the West Bank by Israel would violate the right to Palestinian self-determination. The second major issue involved the legality of the barrier in light of international humanitarian law. The court rejected Israel's argument that the Fourth Geneva Convention does not apply in the Occupied Territories because the West Bank and the Gaza Strip were never part of a sovereign state. On this point, the court held that, insofar as the territories fell into Israel's hands as a result of war with two states that are party to the Convention, the state must exercise control over the said territory in accordance with the provisions of the Convention. Specifically, the court found that the separation barrier is intended to assist the settlements, the establishment of which violates Article 49 of the Convention. Also, the court pointed out that the restrictions placed on the local population located between the barrier and the Green Line are liable to lead to abandonment of the land, which also constitutes a violation of Article 49. In addition, the opinion stated that taking control of private land to build the barrier injured private property owners, and thus violated Articles 46 and 52 of the Hague Regulations of 1907 and of Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
