At least Israel does not pretend Palestinian Arabs do not exist. Arabs are allowed to use and learn their language, to have cultural expression, etc. In Turkey, the Kurds get zip. They are forced to deny their culture and pretend they're Turks. Very different.

I liked your Freudian slip, sorry. Kurdish situation in no way comparable to either Jews nor Palis. I shall mention only that Russia stays well out of the conflict taking no sides. One may think while US supporting Kurds Russia should back Turkey from pure spite. The rest of the article just summarises it.

I am not an expert on this. But from discussions some years ago with a Kurdish friend I understand that Kurdistan which was the homeland of the Kurds was divided into 4 parts and given to 4 neighboring countries such that each part ended up as a minority and persecuted in each country that annexed them. Can anyone out there shed some light on this? In any case the analogy doesn't hold water.
