there is a seen patern were the pal and the arabs imitate us, (why i do not know it is like we imitate us) if we behave more morally by imitation they will behave same and peace is closer. think about it!!!
2. Make holding Shalit so painful for Gaza that they will beg u
Squalid Ibn Harman ,   Qtir   (12.22.07)
Make holding Shalit so painful for Gaza that they will beg us to take him back. Cut off all electricity, gas, and water with an ultimatum that it is turned on until Shalit is safely returned. Use all means available. Try not to endanger Israeli lives if possible. This is the easiest, safest, and surest way. Shalit could be home in days or hours if strong courageous and wise steps are taken.
3. Shalit's in Egypt!!
Lila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.22.07)
The Arabs are not so stupid as to leave him in Gaza. With nobody but our enemies guarding the border crossing into Egypt, they took him the re a few moments after he was captured. That's why Egypt is playing a role in the negotiations, and the "first stage" of his release will have him "transferred to Egypt." He's already there.

there is NO moral code in the Hamas. They are monsters. We need to keep up what we are dong now: hammering with pinpoint strikes and assasinations anybody who even looks at a qassem launcher. Its working. Thats the morality these people understand: we will kill you if you keep this up. And we won't need a horrible full scale ground invation of that seaside toilet known as Gaza to do it. At the same time, keep negotiating with the Palesinians in the West Bank and keep working on removing the Iranian nuke threat. We appear, in my view, to be on the right track. Good faith peace negotiations with those who want to play ball, and war with those who don't.
6. It is the fools in the knesset that lack intelligence
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.22.07)
We need leaders that will bomb gaza into surrendering Gilad, his kidnappers and the whole terrorist network there.

It is the Government's Failure, Ayalon be pragmatic as it is so even from your seat. The Government Lack Intelligence !!! NOT IN THE IDF PLEASE !!!
8. Israels interests can only be defended in a proportional way
zionist forever   (12.23.07)
Today Israels leaders are more concerned about being PROPORTIONAL when it comes to operations. If somethng needs doing to protect Israels intrestes they are all interested in being the humanitarians and the ones who can hold their heads up high and say to the enemy I did the right thing by you even if it wasnt the right thing for Israel. There was alot of talk and threats of cutting the elctricity and stopping fuel supplies. Its been months since those threats were made and the power hasnt gone out once and the fuel supplies havnt been cut they have been reduced. On the other hand 250 terrorists were released as a ramadam goodwill gesture, hundreds more have since then been released and there are plans to release lots more all we ask in return is they promise not to return to their old ways. We have given Abbas thousands of new guns, millions of rounds of amunition. During Lebanon some IDF soilders didnt have bullet proof vests because the army didnt buy because of budget cuts and soilders either went without or bought their own. After Lebanon OIlmert bout hundreds of brand new vests for the PA security forces said it was to streneghn Abbas because he wasnt Hamas. They havnt even formerly declared Gaza an enemy entity they have considered it but nothing formal has been declared. Last November Olmert & Abbas agred on a ceace fire from Gaza .. within hours there were rockets falling on Israel but Olmerts orders were soilders could only open fire if their own lives were in direct risk. For weeks Olmert watched the rockets fall and refused to let the IDF responsd because he wants to say look you dont keep your side of a bargin but I keep mine and did nothing. If 9/11 had happened in Israel and been carried out by palestian terrorists Olmerts response would have been to carry out a few targeted killings and discuss what should be a proportional response and not rush int retaliations. For all his faults if Bush had been the PM in Israel he would have said screw the rest of the palestians we are going to smash the terrorists and defend Israels interests. I wouldnt mind having him as a defense minister he wouldnt do things softly softly. THE COUNTRY IS SCREWED UP AND IT HAVE ALOT MORE RESPECT FOR ARAB LEADERS THAN I DO FOR THIS REGIME IN ISRAEL. Abbas is a better friend to Israel than Olmert and the crooks that follow him

If thats true, then Israel should really hand over to the US Congress the tapes they have of Egyptian soldiers assisting Hamas/IJ terrorirsts smuggle arms into Gaza. Then maybe Congress will further turn the screws to Mubarak to get off his ass and do something.
10. i agree with #6 !!! lets exchange Olmert for Shalit

freejay ,   Israel   (12.23.07)
Fatah are just as bad as Hamass.....they both want Israel destroyed and Andy, please explain how Abass's Fatah is moderate? Because he wears a suit and lies his ass off? Has he even tried to change the Pali charter calling for our destruction? NO! Are his forces still attacking the IDF and killing Israeli citizens? YES! Im afraid Olmert has brainwashed both of you and you better get off his trip and see reality....Open your eyes. As far as Ayalon goes, the man is a snake and a liar....... he knows exactly where Shallits body is. How could he not, being that Gazza is such a small area.........Im afraid that Egypt is implicated and the government knows that but are too chicken shit to act!

Andy, I completely agree with you. The only reason Hamas want to negotiate is because we have hit upon a strategy that is hurting them - pinpoint attacks, taking out their leaders by the dozen each day, every day, every week, every month until they are too weak to go on. We are currently hurting them and what you see now is simply a negotiating tactic to buy them more time. Why stop now? Keep going. By the way Shalit is definitely in Gaza. He's being moved around every other night amongst 15-20 different locations which are most likely bunkers by top military personel backed up by Iranian / Hezballah operatives that are overseeing and providing operational support. which is why its almost impossible for Israeli intelligence to know for sure exactly where he is. My gut feeling though is that if they say they don't know where he is then most likely its because they might be on to him... and God willing, a successful rescue attempt will be forthcoming. I pray for Shalit every night. I hope everyone who reads this does to. Amen.
14. BLOODY IDIOT ?
Michel SLONIMSKI ,   Paris, France   (12.23.07)
The essence of strategy is not to tell the enemy how strong or how weak you are and leave him uncertain about your own capabilities. Either Ayalon deliberately deceives Hamas into believing IDF is weak in order to help IDF to act and rescue Shalit. Or he just means what he says. If hypothesis A is correct, cheers. If hypothesis B is correct, Ayalon is a bloody idiot.
15. Intelligence Failure
George Bartlett ,   Nicholasville, Ky. U   (12.23.07)
I called our US State Department on Jewish Affairs about six months ago about the issue of Shalit. Finally I talked to the director who finally admitted to me the US and Israel IDF and the PO knew where Shalit was in Gaza. The problem is the building is bobbie trapped and will blow up if the IDF tries to go in to retreave him. Ayalon is just trying to cover up and protect his hide or butt. My advise is to put pressure on the PO and go to the streets in masses. Shalom
16. smash dont negotiate a bad long term deal
zionist forever   (12.23.07)
As depresing as it sounds on the palestian front Hamas are Israels best friend politicly. Abbas & Fatah call themselves MODERATE and so we are willing to turn a blind eye to them because they are our moderate partners for peace even though we know full well they want the same thing as Hamas but they use stealth and they will try take Israel a little piece at a time so its not noticed and seems reasonble. Hamas at least dont pretend they want anything other than Israels destruction and 2 states is simply stage 1 to strenghen their capablities help them move foreward to stage 2 which is take it all. We are repeating the same mistakes we made with Arafat all over. Arafat smiled shook hands with Bill Clinton & Peres we called him a changed man and a partner for peace but behind the scenes he was responsiible for terror,m he wanted a single state and like Hamas considerfed 2 states as stage 1 to a larger state but he was our partner for peace so we turened a blind eye. Sharon then ailenated him and he eventualy diesd and the world all said Arafat was not a partner for peace he was a terrorist they knew it before but it wasnt politicly correct to admit the truth so we turned a blind eye and carried on believing the fantasy. Hamas though do need to be smashed the pinpoint strikes are all very nice politcly because Olmert and the other fools can say look we only target individual terrorists because we dont want ordinary palestians to suffer but it weakens temprarily but doesnt stop the problem. the solution is to clean house from top to bottom ... cut the electric & gas for a week, then when they are weakened carry out a full scale millitary operation. After that you say every rocket you fire means 1 day without electricty. Eventualy the palestians on the street will stop supporting the terrosists and without support on the street a terrorist organistion cannot function because they are not a national army which allways takes orders only from a central government they rely on the grass roots to hide them, help them carry out attacks no support no terror That will send a message to all terror groups no matter which side they are on you hurt us we will hurt you worse because its gloves off time.
