1. truth be told (out loud)
eiyal   (12.23.07)
as for me, i fully agree with this article. and i can tell the same for my friends coz i know them. generally we dislike all arabs no matter from where. why? u can see that troughout history. they didnt do shit other than sit on oil fountains and wait for the money to come out. a statistic i saw in tv couple days ago reveals that the average working time per day of an arab (all arabs in avereage) is 27 minutes!! now the fun part on top of that is their big mouth. israel this, usa that, europe bad, you are bad, all are bad, everybody is bad, *cry, cry, cry*. another statistic reveals that 96% of terror attacks in the world are made by islamists (arabs). now how do you want to tell me, or my friends, or anybody else in israel that arabs are trustworthy? i could go on and on with really bad facts black on white about that puts the arabs in a real bad light, but, i gotta go ;-) conclusion of this article: dont trust no arab! cheers
2. this coutry has no values any longer

3. There are certainly more than 1/3 of the secular youth
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalme   (12.23.07)
who have no feeling for Eretz Yisrael, just like the secular politicians who have no feelings for Eretz Yisrael. Religious Jews should offer all secular Jews compensations to move abroad so that Eretz Yisrael will become A TRUE JEWISH STATE with JEWISH MORALS & VALUES the way G-d wants it and those who want to live here will have to abide by TRUE JEWISH LAW.
4. That's great news!
Antonio ,   Haifa   (12.23.07)
Reading the garbage published by the media you'd think that Israelis, a.k.a. Jews, have completely lost their minds. At least with this survey we can see that the country might have a future. Let's hope the number of those who distrust the Arabs and the politicians will grow.
5. #3 - I hope you don't mean a theocracy

6. Very good to read
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (12.23.07)
that 73% identified themselves first as Jews. That is encouraging.
7. 3#, Joseph P., will you serve in the army?
Judah ,   Golan Height,ISRAEL   (12.23.07)
Joseph isn't it time to take your head out of the sand? Constantly you send emails attacking the Zionists whether they be secular or religous. Now you want the seculars to leave. Israel has only 5.3 million Jews and you want at least 4 million to move abroad??? Who will pay the taxes? Who will serve in the army? What happens when the Arabs become the majority? Will you give up the Golan which is mostly populated by secularists that you despise? Joseph, Israel needs all of its Jews whether they be religous or secular. Maybe you haven't noticed but we are in a demographic war. We can't afford to lose even one Jew never mind 4 million.
8. 70% Israeli-Arabs not loyal to the state, just like
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (12.23.07)
70% Jews not loyal to the state as G-d wants from them.
9. These youngsters sense the corruption in the government and

High Court better than most Leftist Israelis.
10. WELCOME TO THE US
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (12.24.07)
They are welcome to come and settle over here. We have many Israelis already. Contrary to some reports, there is almost zero anti-Semitism here.

If you look at Bible prophecy and discover after much study that a third of the Jews will live to see the Messiah come (Zechariah's prophecies) in the generation He come compared to far fewer than that in other countries, Israel looks much better. The Jewish Messiah comes in the generation Israel becomes a nation again which is 70 years or less from 1948. The age of 70 was set in the Bible when God decided to reduce the average lifespan from 140 to 70 years. A war is about to start at Basra that Daniel called the Battle of Hidekel River (where Tigris and Euphrates meet). By the time that war is over, a third of the earth's population will be dead...TWO BILLION PEOPLE. That is not even Armageddon. Then there are famines and plagues and earthquakes and tsunamis and floods and volcanic eruptions and an asteroid hits the earth changing the axis of the earth so the days are shorter. Then the poles shift and places that were hot get colder and vice versa. The asteroid contaminates the water with something bitter that causes many deaths. By the time Armageddon rolls around there MIGHT be 500 million left alive on the earth. But just think...two million will be alive in Israel out of six million...a far higher percentage survival rate (33%) than other countries. So lads and lassies, rethink your wish to leave Israel. When EMP hits, you won't be able to get back and will have your portion with the gentiles.
13. I find the article a bit suspicious...
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (12.24.07)
First, Ynet CLAIMS that the report "revealed" that 35% of Israeli youth would like to live abroad. First of all, was the survey conducted on a rational basis? Were the respondents representative for the population or not? Second, what were the questions that were posed to the youth? Third, how do we know that it isn't Ynet itself that is making these figures up? Fourth, if we assume that the Ynet is speaking the truth and that the report does represent the Israeli youth, it means that 35% of Israeli youth would like to live abroad and that 65% of Israeli youth would either prefer to stay in Israel or doesn't bother to leave. Fifth, the article doesn't reveal the sources that can bring evidence to the alleged fact that Israeli youth feels disconnected to Israel. And if we assume it is true, the author of this article doesn't reveal WHY Israeli youth feel disconnected to Israel. We also know that teenagers are emotionally unstable. Teenagers try to find a purpose in life and they try to find their individual and national identity. The same goes with all youth of most countries, so what exactly is this article trying to tell us? That Israel is falling apart? Jews have whined for the past 4000 years that they are falling apart. What REALLY is falling apart is the prudence, wisdom, long term plans and long term perspectives of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Finally, it is completely meaningless to make a separation between Jews and Israelis as both names are labels for the same ethnic group of people. Originally we were Hebrews. Later on we became Israelites. Later on we became Judeans. Later on we became Jews. Later on we became Israelis. I want to give you a metaphor: Budweiser is still Budweiser even if you place the label "Coca Cola" or "Sprite" on the bottle. The people is the same, but the names and labels are different.
14. #7 In the days of King David all Jews were religious
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (12.24.07)
In the days of King David all Jews were religious, the army consisted only of religious G-d fearing Jews and males only. And they won the wars because they had special siyata Dishmaya (Heavenly help), unlike in our days, when the IDF and the government believe in "kochi ve'otzem yadi" and don't even bother mentioning G-d's name or ask for Heavenly assistance. How can Israel have won the 2nd Lebanon War when the Chief of Staff was the famous atheist Yaalon? The Torah (Devarim (Deuteronomy) 23:15) clearly states: “For Hashem, your G-d, walks in the midst of your (military) camp to rescue you and to deliver your enemies before you so your camp should be holy, so that He will not see a shameful thing among you and turn away from behind you”. Regarding your concern of a demographic war and that we can’t afford to lose even one Jew, read the Tanach. When the Jewish nation were G-d fearing, they didn’t need many soldiers, a few were enough. For example, King David, the author of Tehillim (Psalms), the pious Jew, was able to overcome the big hero, Goliath. Another example is the Chashmanaim, and there were many more instances were the few conquered the many. Jewish people are the chosen nation and unique. Their specialty results in their holiness and being loyal to G-d; hence G-d helps them likewise. But if Jews despise G-d and violate His commandments, especially, in His Holy land, it’s much worse than in the Diaspora. Of course, secular Jews may stay but they must follow the rules of the Torah as in the days of King David. And that’s when G-d will help us too. If the government was run by religious Jews and the army consisted of religious Jews only and directed by holy Torah sages, Israel would be much better off. We would be a light unto nations. The world would respect us because they’d openly see the Hand of G-d amongst His favorite children. BTW you write: "Joseph isn't it time to take your head out of the sand?" Sadly, you and the non-orthodox Jews who do whatever you want, are the ones hiding your heads in the sand making believe "ha'ikar mah shebalev - we're good Jews in our hearts". Unfortunately, it's not enough, because unlike goyim who only have to keep 7 commandments, we Jews have 613 commandments that we must keep if we like it or not. We do not have the choice of selecting which to keep and which to drop. It’s time you understand this.
15. its probably because 70% or arabs want intifada
jack bauer   (12.24.07)
But the corrupt govt. does not represent the jewish people. So why be surprised that kids feel like leaving? If they see a hostile enemy living in their midst, and see the govt. working actively against their people every day.....add that to daily attacks by terrorists, and leftnik liberal anti-Israel bias in the media....who really is surprised? The only answer is getting the govt replaced, and then transferring the arab population that wont swear loyalty to a jewish state to their arabic homelands.
16. That sums up my feelings on this place 100%
Eyal ,   Tel Aviv   (12.24.07)
and I'm a middle-aged tax payer. I believe in the IDF; distrust our government and question the loyalty of Israeli Arabs (then again, who can blame them?). Oh, and I am a Jew who will never ever be an Israeli.
17. Once again she does it! Rivkah, how
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (12.24.07)
do you come up with your absurdities?! You have a supposedly "LOVING" god that arbitrarily reduces mans life span on a whim, no doubt, god made a mistake in giving him those original 140 years. Then this same loving god reduces mankind to savagery and kills 5.5 billion of his "children" through disaster and war and you are gleefully pronouncing that your glad to be in Israel because you'll only lose 1/3 of your fellow countrymen. (No guarantees for you I bet, or did it state your name as be saved in the Torah also?) (While we're at it if God is so damn smart and if your Torah is the assailable word of god. Why couldn't he get the names of modern countries right? Gog and Magog do not exist! I could go on here with your drivel, but why?! You are a sick diseased individual to worship such a spiteful creative that you so shameless follow. You can claim what you want but I suspect you was right when your Mom said something changed in you at 10 years of age. And it wasn't the "creep" who dragged you in to the boys room to molest you (I suspect he wanted to run some water between your ears to clear up your thinking) No the problem your Mom saw and undoubtedly recognized was the onset of psychological problems. Get help, you need it!
18. 70% of israeli-Jews are misinformed about Israeli-Arabs
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (12.24.07)
According to the shabak, the striking majority of israeli-arab are loyal to the state and do not participate in any hostile activity that harms the states security. Inciment and misrepresintation of Israeli-Arabs in the media is the main reason jews think negativly of us

21. Is it any wonder?
vered ,   israel   (12.24.07)
Three years ago my husband and I took a vacation and stayed at a 5-star hotel near the Dead Sea. Half the hotel was full of Arabs, who paid just like we did and also came for a vacation. There was free entertainment that night, and like myself, Arab families with their children came to enjoy. It was a musical play about the Israeli army vanquishing the Arab enemy and the heroine losing her love for a good cause. Half the Arabs walked out. I was ashamed. This was a hotel, nonpolitical; we were all on vacation and had agreed to throw aside our prejudices. But no, we could not for one minute allow our Arab citizens not to be humiliated, is it any wonder this is the message we passed onto our youth?
22. #3- Haredi soldiers will respond?
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (12.24.07)
I think Joseph forgets who makes up the vast majority of the IDF - and it is NOT the Haredi, who like the Arans need not serve to defend this land that Joseph says should be secular free!
23. To Rami , Nazareth
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (12.24.07)
If so why do they so unanimously resist any sort of national service?
24. 17 Joe: A FOOL SAYS IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD.
Rivkah   (12.24.07)
It is TWO-THIRDS of Israel who die before the Jewish Messiah comes, not a third as you in your hysterics did not read correctly. About 17% or less in the rest of the world will live to see Armageddon come. What my mother saw was the end of my childhood. I became a more subdued and serious person before the time in life for that to be. She cried when my oldest brother's face changed and was not youthful anymore in his twenties or thirties. You mock the scriptures that are the way to eternal life. You will not have to pay for the heating bills for eternity where you are going. God will give you that for free. You will be thirsty with no water, terrified with no hope, burning with no relief forever, in darkness, listening to the screams of billions of people in a deafening cacophany. The Bible says not many noble, not many mighty, not many wise men after the flesh are called (by God). To be chosen, you must first be called. Those who seek God EARLY will find him. It sounds to me like you did not seek God early and the longer you delay, the less likely it will be that you will. Do you really want to be separated from God eternally? You think you are so smart. One day you will be when you bow on your knees to God before he has his angels escort you to the lake of fire which is worse than the first place you go to after death. Repent. Seek God while you can find him. After death, it will be too late.
25. So bloody what?
Aussie Surfer Boy   (12.24.07)
A heck of a lot of aussies leave aus at a young age and dont go back they go to london, ny, tel aviv, hong kong whats wrong with that? people come in and out of israel all the bloody time, why should the same people stay all the time? people move around, in and out of israel, just like any other country on earth get over it already. you could swear the worlds going to come to a shuddering halt the way you lot at ynet go off about this rubbish
26. Joseph P you are the reason people leave
Simon ,   TA   (12.24.07)
Can you blame them for leaving, who wants to live in a state run by corrupt politicians, religious biggots forcing their way of life on other people , Israel is a land of bombs , bullets and fanatics, hatred and intollerce towards other human beings. They should leave the religious life style and join the real world.
27. EXCUSE ME! For missing that minor
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (12.24.07)
point. Being agog at your loving depiction of our future with your loving god I do guess I missed that minor point. "It is TWO-THIRDS of Israel who die before the Jewish Messiah comes, not a third as you in your hysterics did not read correctly. About 17% or less in the rest of the world will live to see Armageddon come. " Hun, if this is what you look forward to, your welcome to it. Your god, or hell and the devil. It's a choice between Jeffrey Dalmer and Ted Bandy. I for one just can't fathom a deity that created man would be so cruel and loathsome as the one you depict. As such I believe you are sadly delusional and while you may claim I am also spiteful and mean spirited to you, believe it or not I do have your best interest in mind, and as such wish you'd avail yourself to the wonders of the 20th century. Namely medication and psychotherapy. It'll do a lot less harm than you may think!
28. #1..
Ibrahim ,   Egypt   (12.25.07)
After the negotiations for peace at Annapolis, the apartheid state revealed a new settler plan which would build 300 new ILLEGAL homes in occupied Jerusalem...The new units will be built at Har Homa settlement, which already has about 2,000 houses, in an area of south-east Jerusalem known as Jabal Abu Ghneim. The agreements at Annapolis state that both parties should work towards abiding by the Road Map to Peace drafted by the US. The road map clearly states that the apartheid state should seize all illegal settlement activity......Note that The settlements are illegal under international law. Obviously, the apartheid state doesn't want peace....Obviously they are liars and deceivers..dishonest....read the original undistorted Torah...and Bible , Quran...you will discover what did they do with the prophets....enough to say they are jesus killers...The israelis don't know the moral values..only pretend that have.....they also like to pretend that they are persecutated all the time .....and they play big role in seeking harmony for victims...important role in their defense..just want further sympathy....so I call Hamas , Hizbollah , Syria ,Iran.....don't let them live in peace...but in horror... Conclusion of this article Never trust israelis Never trust Apartheid state
29. #28,Ibrahimish wet dreams !
(12.25.07)
Not that anyone can expect any decency from a Jew hater of your caliber, but you should get it in your hate-mongering primitive skull that Israel is light years more moral than anyone of your like and Israel needs no pity from any Arab state and so,we fear no Arab state. Instead, Arab states should take pity on themselves for the atrocities they do to their own kind, for the daily summary executions, for the darkness of mind they force their own people to live in,for the barbarian honour killings, for the forced mutilations of young females, for the sheer hatred and intransigence they manifest towards anyone non-Arab, for the constant mixing into the affairs of other Arab states (i.e. Lebanon killings by the Syrians !), for the middle age type of treatment they impose upon their women, for the world terror they constantly concoct and maintain and for the megalomanian view that you and your people should finally conquer the whole world by starting a universal jihad against the infidels. This is your true face Ibrahim, of course, in a nut-shell only because your post says more and much worse. P.S. What do you call your government's age-long indifference and dereliction towards more than one million Gazans ? Why do you think your government turns a blind eye towards arms smuggling ? For two reasons: first, they couldn't care less whether Gazans die or live and, second, they believe in their naivity that this way they may weaken Israel. N E V E R !!!
30. Unknown guy means fear and horror even here!!
Ibrahim ,   Egypt   (12.25.07)
You must thank this aging Egyptian leader ...coz this is the best government you have ever seen that keep peace with you...you will not know what NEXT would do....You must pray for God and Mubarak...not to attack him....oneday You will wish his days are back again....
