Olmert just gave an interview to J post saying things were going so well and that his coalition was stable. He said he believed the intentions of abbas, the feelings in his heart but he felt it was not his jobs to assess arab calculations. The interview took place in his comfortable office and he covers all his remarks well. Pity that he didn't conduct the interview in sderot to appreciate what you are going through. He says and is affected by 3things: 1) arab demographics 2) fear of seeing jews killed by suicide bombers3) he says bush is wise cause he went to harvard and yale. So here you have it , olmert is a delusional fearful person, who is a hugely poor judge of character and he is a pacifist in the tradition of neveille chamberlain. Truth be told, he may not be kicked out offfice after winograd because as a skilled politican, he has buttered his coalition members very well and has the media-haaretz and hanegbi blaming the idf and not olmert for lebanon war.Good luck!
