Security Council deplores Katyusha attack on Israel     Yitzhak Benhorin
1. The house is on fire and we are happy that
'THEY' issued condemnation... HELM!!!!!!
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (01.11.08)
2. this is war
destroy lebanon and collaborators
MIcha   (01.11.08)
3. just in today
investigators found profound, profound and dangerous corruption, rape, money mismanagement, etc ..... in the un body.
(01.11.08)
4. violation of Resolution 1701, by whome?
What is happening!; the UNSC condemns the attack but does not clearly state who is the perpetrators. Then you would not know whether the UNSC condemns Lebanese militias or Israelis. Moreover, it lauds Lebanese government for its 'commitment to bring attack's perpetrators to justice'. To your health Israel!, but it's non-kosher wine.

5. Micha what r u like 5yrs old? :)))
chadi ,   lebanon   (01.11.08)
6. Hamas and the peace process
Its clear that Hamas are feeling more and more 'out in the cold' However as always there are huge contra forces operating within that are fracturing the Hamas leadership. Ultra hardliners such as Mashaal and Zahar will never change. They personally have too much to loose. But the word is that Haniyeh quietly beginning to distance himself more from the ultra hardliners in Hamas and looking for ways to break this link yet retain power and try to reach some sort of qualified settlement with the PA. Its all at the moment about a power struggle in Hamas. Though we dont hear much about it its ruthless nevertheless. Sooner or later this will translate into violence and confrontation between these two factions. Who will triumph at the moment is anyones guess - but it seems to boil to to who would be the most ruthless. Meanwhile sadly as usual ordinary Gazans will suffer. But not for long....

7. #4, this is why I love the Middle East
No one but no one is capable for making crazy conspiracy theories like us. So your thesis is that some IDF soldiers snuck into Lebanon, lauched some rockets at Israel and snuck back. Because that is far, far more likely than a lebanese militia firing at Israel because we all know they NEVER do that.
Danny   (01.11.08)
8. Heading
By reading the heading where "deplores" is written , you could think "only deplores" ? Why not write "condemns" ? more appropriate in this case , and true
charles ,   petach tikva   (01.11.08)
9. #8, apparently we were lucky to get that
Someone fires rockets at us and the UN debates whether to find a way to condemn Israel. Makes sense....
Danny   (01.11.08)
10. TOO BAD THE UN IS SUCH A USELESS ORGAN
What a waste...
stude ham   (01.11.08)
11. Oh I see - they deplore this ONE attack?
Steve ,   UK   (01.11.08)
12. it is very clear
It is very clear that this is a provocative behaviour from shia and nasrallah, for them it is a game of let's throw a rocket and then....run and hide behind some defenceless children. ever so more my theory is Nasrallah trying to get a name for himself as war monger. eventhough when the conflict was in Lebanon. He was hiding in a hole in a ground. instead of maintaining peace and calm south lebanon want to be dragged to another conflict, with more death, injuries, and fatalities. We the Jewish people we are no better than anybody else, but we are just as GOOD as anybody. I believe majority of Israelis wants peace, I believe Nasrallah wants blood. he may not represent all Lebanese people but this provocative act of cowardness will be no use to peace effort and Lebanese people.
