I expect all or most will attend, claiming they're working to pursue the conversation and the process. A few may walk out once its moral bankruptcy becomes too great to deny. Between Durban II and the "reformed" Human Rights Council, it's clear the UN is beyond redemption.

As any democratic country, Canada periodically changes its government, so you can't expect it to be so consistant forever in every single policy. The Liberal government is always more tolerant to everything, including intolerance, while the current Conservative government takes more uncompromising stand on such issues.

Now that there's a new administration in Canada, they appear to have lost a good deal of their patience with the anti-American and anti-Israeli venom spewing from the left. Unlike the Europeans, the Canadians may have finally woken up to who the real enemy is.

and just as this new administration changed things, so too will the administration that replaces it. the unchanging feature of this is the legal system that remains unchanged, drifting ever towards the islamic definitions of "human rights", intolerance, and hate. leaders come and go, but the country is clearly drifting in a direction that is not encouraging for anyone who values liberty for all.

Well, with your type of scepticism and bitterness who is going to extend hand to you? If you want some type of behaviour to persevere you have to encourage it, not dismiss it. Have it your way, and all the world is against you, when they do something hostile you say "of course!" with grim satisfaction, when they make a friendly gesture you say "weird, it must be a mistake, because normally...".

i'm american and i do not see that the out of the orsinary gesture indicates a trend. should i get my hopes up for nothing? should canada be praised when it will be back to business as usual? canada has major problems and i hope for everyone's sake, yours included, that this is not an anomaly.

Racism in South Africa is ripe. today South Africa is going through (economic) Appartheid against the white population. 'Black economic empowerment' and other red tape laws make it very hard for whites to make a living, and thus many have left this place, revenge is what its all about, take ESKOM as an example (our electricity supplier), they had a draft that they will not hire any white males into the monopoly. thus all the brains have left ESKOM and 100's of other companies in SA too. and we now sit in the dark for 3 hours each day (While our Zimbabuwe get free electricity... their comrads they say)- because of uneducated managment. the brain drain is so bad that in a few years South Africa will be more like Zimbabuwe. its such a shame cause South Africa has so much potential. but their external support of terror states and internal support to economic racism will see their downfall.
