31. Why are we supplying electricity
Freejay ,   Israel   (01.24.08)
To an Egyptian state named Gazza?
32. #29, thats not true, PA has not paid for ANY services
David ,   Boston, USA   (01.24.08)
There is a significannt bill the PA owes Israel for services, especially utilities and fuel. Lets not forget the destruction the terrorists are causing on civilian locations, a war crime at that. When they dont fullfill their obligation to prevent terrorism and stop incitement, they must pay for their actions. that money doesnt cover those costs. worse, ISrael has done NOTHING with that money. IT is in escro waiting for the PA to actuall live up to some agreements. Unlike the British who like to steal land from Jews (check out your history in pre 1930 Palestine), Israel is keeping it in escro.
33. PFF: Palestinian Freedom Fighters..
EA ,   USA   (01.25.08)
There were never any terrotists..they were always Palestinian Freedom Fighters...It's important to make it understoon...as it makes a very big diffrence between truth and lies...
34. The reason Israel won't accept the end of the siege
Mikesailor ,   Miami   (01.25.08)
Israel wants the Gaza Strip isolated, they do not want Gaza as a part of Egypt or least of all independent for one reason..the international aid for the subsistence of the Palestinians would not go through the Israeli financial system. Israeli companises would not be able to profit from the misery of the Palestinians..
35. EA, PFF my a$%
Jared ,   orlando US   (01.25.08)
They are only, in fact, preventing the freedom the pal people. Second, when they adopt bomb vests , target cafes clubs and buses, and launch rockets into pop centers, they cease to be freedom fighters. Their ends do not justify their means or their intentions. The pal people need those who can build and create a society, not destroy one. A group such as Hamas, which is consumed by hatred and uses violence as its primary means of negotiation is not a group of freedom fighters. Nelson mandela was a freedom fighter. Martin luther King was a freedom fighter. Ghandhi was a freedom fighter. All of which have accomplished much more in their individual lifetimes than all of the palestinians have accomplished in theirs.
36. Hamas Hamaswood studios
Hamas movie producti ,   zichron yacov israel   (01.26.08)
great analogy about the TV productions. I bet the Arab world loved the shot of Egyptian soliers firing on the Palestinians-, using dogs to scare woman and children, and Gaza civilians wanting to stay in Egypt- what- that was not part of the script. What about the right of return script- all palestinians wanting to move to Gaza and the west bank. - not Egypt. Anyways it shows how stupid Israel was - she should never have given up lands without rearranging borders with all- including Egypt and Jordan and Lebanon so there will be enough room for all involved. In the end the Arabs were right - there should have been a peace with all the arabs at once including a land or population transfers / exchanges.
37. How can we get rid of Hamas
bashar Juneidi ,   Amman, Jordan   (01.26.08)
first of all, Eygpt doesnt want to manage gaza, so that is out of scope! second, collective punishment will weaken Hamas, but not much, you would expect a revolution by Gazis against Hamas, and that punishment will damage israel's image!
38. #22 -
Avigdor ,   Syracuse - USA   (01.26.08)
The problem is and always was Jordan. These Arab refugees from Jordan need to go home. GW Bush needs to start a road map to a divided Jordan. These people can have their own homes in Jordan. Then Gaza, Judea and Samaria will no longer be an issue. The issue will then belong to the "Royals" in Jordan. Where ar Arabs in Torah? Avi
39. pff freedom fighters
abu mahjan ,   gaza   (01.26.08)
i completely agree that palestinians =leaders= today are not freedom fighters ,if one wants freedom he must respect all human beings ,even traetors, he must praise humanity ,hamas and jihad and so on reiterate to Franz Fanon description of the patriot heroes =fighting for tyranny..as far as im convinced in this interpretition of fanon the truth about the pioneers in the muslim history were that they were fighting for the glory of god through freedom of man ...otherwise are not acceptible and is shame ..today all or most muslim parties strugle for ruleship not for freedom of illusion

Petra ,   usa   (01.26.08)
so true, so very true. Perfect that Egypt is paid back in full. You're right payback is a bitch. This is their 'right of return'. lol welcome back, brother! Let Egypt absorb them all and pay for them as did Israel, it's their people after all.
41. # 22 abu mahjan, Gaza
Petra ,   usa   (01.26.08)
watch the G-d of Israel take care of busines while the muslims try their best and fail, again, miserably. 60 years later and Israel gets stronger daily, thank G-d. Meanwhile Gaza and the rest of the camps are still held in cages by their 'muslim brothers.
42. # 10 Simon, London PERFECT!!!!!!!
Petra ,   usa   (01.26.08)
let Egypt the tunnel specialist deal with this trash now. Her turn.
43. # 34 Mikesailor stick to being a sailor
Petra ,   usa   (01.26.08)
your brain has turned to mush. All the welfare aid to pals ends up in swiss banks,( arafat) not Israelis. You must get some fresh air and fresh ideas, yours are rotten.
44. # 35 And all these were Passive resisters.
(01.26.08)
not criminal as are the Pals and their bloody supporters. The Pals are social outcasts, no one wants them, no one not even their muslim 'brothers'. Egypt should wecome them back home. Enjoy them and pay for them.
45. Disengagement???
Joe ,   Gush EtZion Israel   (01.26.08)
The Finance Ministry collects taxes from Palestinians who work in Israel and turns over this money to the PA. However, it pays "off the top" the bills that the PA owes to Israeli suppliers of fuel, electricity, water, etc. Assuming that there are 1,000,000 consumers in Gaza of these supplies, the bills must total in the hundreds of millions shekalim. The last people in the world who seek real disengagement are the Israel Electric Company, Mekorot, and the fuel companies and the Finance Ministry.
46. #19, maybe you should take you own advice?
Danny   (02.02.08)
The arabs first conquered the area including Israel in the late 7th early 8th century. They were then defeated and "occupied" by the Crusader states for another 150 odd years. Mongols for a few decades more with the Turks conquering the area in either the 15th or 16th century. So total amount of rule under Arab/Turkish rule is around 1000 years not 2000 years. Given Jews have been there for thousands of years, how do you work out that it is "as much arab as Jewish"? And again, most Israeli Jews aren't European, they are from Middle Eastern and African countries. Is being "militant to other ethnic groups" include making them generals, ministers, professors and supreme court judges?
