Anti-Semitism is an irrational unjustified attitude based on stereotypes, myths, conspiracy theories, & psychological problems of paranoia. It is not based on the behavior of Jews but is an attitude that exists prior to actual experience. It depends greatly on selective perception. Islamophobia, on the other hand, can be a fear not of individual Muslims but of an ideology incompatible with Western values. Islamophobia is also the result of the actual behavior of many Muslims - we see & hear it every day. There will always be those that have fear & prejudice against those different than themselves. But political correctness should not impede realistic, objective, & frank analysis of any ideology or religion. The two phenomena (anti-Semitism & Islamophobia) are not similar & should not be lumped together in the same catagory.
