2. For their safety and the public's
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.19.08)
Keep them in a secure place like Matsiyahu. That is turning this into a win-win situation.
3. what about protection of Sderot residents
Simon ,   TA Israel   (02.19.08)
Well unlike the knesset members that take extravagent trips abroad the residents of sderot are sitting ducks with a goverment that so far has done nothing to protect them.
4. checklist

6. Agitated Nazisrallah !
Hiram ,   Paris   (02.19.08)
Interesting to see how Nazisrallah is getting agitated since he started loosing credibility... Not only is he ready for "open war " but he is so courageous and daring that he prefers to think about " operation abroad", thus recognizing that he is totally unable to fight with the Israelis either on Israeli' soil or in the neighbouring countries...This is a clear recognition not only of the supremacy of Israeli services but also of the inferiority of Islamists in term of international credibility. Inch ' Allah, Nasrallah will be the next one to meet the 72 virgins ! Wait and see
7. #6 supremacy of israel !!!????

9. They live through murder.
Jean Van Daem   (02.19.08)
Arab terrorists do not need excuses in order to commit assassinations. The war imposed upon us by extremist Muslims is for real. Each and every citizen has a role to play in this war, mainly in understanding that a concerted war effort is crucial. The list of Do's and Don'ts includes the following: Don't judge progress based on casualty reports; Don't have unrealistic expectations; Don't overreact to bad news or future terrorist attacks; Do be alert; and Do put aside political differences in order to present a unified front against the enemy. Unfortunately, the bad news is being over-reported, while the good news is being under-reported. This is causing great confusion and creating divisions in the public opinion that is significantly reducing public support for this critical war. The continuing erosion of support - not defeats on the battlefield - could cause us to eventually lose this war. The enemy is counting on this as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/us-general-explains-how-to-fight.html
10. assassins from within
observer   (02.19.08)
Is the photo of "Minister Tamir with the body guards" the best illustration. Tamir has been challenged by Israelis, especially settlers for advocating the old maps of the occupied territories in the school books. but, what about the body guards? Since the attempted assassination of Meshaal and the assassination of Israeli Minister, Israeli Generals, now, have bodyguards. The body guards and their families are but at risk of targeted assassination. The failure of the body guards to prevent Rabin's assassination, brought a new era of assassins from within.

Answers to your question may depend on what you really want to hear. Israel has understood now that more than ever, its existence depends on the quality and frequence of intelligence. Israel will not be deterred by Islamic agitation and Islamist's logorhea ! I am convinced that Israel knows of course were the "hostages" are kept. The rest is only a matter of politics , not that of Jewish values . Rest assure that the "hostage" situation has been somehow ( and unfortunately) a great help to restore Tzahal's supremacy in the middle east .
12. Ministers receive bodyguards !
leah ,   haifa   (02.19.08)
Why doesn't the government ask the Ministers NOT to go abroad for the time being, the same as they do when there is danger for the common israeli people, like when they want to go to Sharm ElSheik or other places...why should the taxpayers money be spent this way, when the Ministers can stay at home here in Israel and enjoy this wonderful country? 13. Nasrallah says he's ready for open war if the Jewish state w
leah ,   haifa   (02.19.08)
So Nasrallah is ready for 'open way' if Israel wants it ...! what does he think, that the IDF will be as soft as they were in the 2nd Lebanese war? Does he not realise that the IDF have been pulling up their socks and improving themselves ...or does he think that they are sitting back and doing nothing...this time if Israel goes to war they will not fail us. Leah haifa
14. Nassrallah knows what he is doing
jay Q ,   T.O Canada   (02.19.08)
he never lies, as everyone know, love him or hate him, if he says it's the beginning of the end for Israel, then pack your bags and dig your old passport and try to find somewhere to go. Only Olmert and Barrack still have the same old retarded mentality, and it seems that they didn't learn a thing from their war with Hizbllah, it's not the old war against PLO, you can assassinate anyone of them when you have a chance, and the reaction is to blow a night club and highjack an airplane, those ways are old, with Nassralla you expect him to do something big, if you kill his general, he kills yours, or blow your nunclear reactor or something like that. That's why I think everything Israel is doing and the security measures are taking are useless, cause the answer will eventually come, but in a way you never expect. meanwhile, time is on their favor, and Israel pay the price everyday, but who said they are rushing to play their card?

16. reply to #14 Nasrallah knows what he is doing
leah ,   haifa   (02.19.08)
Dear Mr. #14.... I am sure Mr. Nasrallah knows what he is doing...but does he know what Israel is doing ? Do you really think that the IDF will stand by and let him do whatever he wants to do...? Mr #14...the most cowardly, and therefore the easiest thing to do in today's world is to put on a suicide belt (while you brain is blown with drugs) go out somewhere and pull that string...nothing could be easier...you have been planned, branwashed to do this ....so you think you are on some wonderful trip...we in Israel have seen so many of these 'trips'' ...my neighbour was on one of theose ''trip'' buses...and while his little daughter of 7 was asking ''why did Daddy take the bus today'' (who she will NEVER...EVER see again...) Mr. Nasrallah was most probably eating his sweets...so yes Mr#14, Mr Nasrallah will send out his suicide bombers to whoever and wherever, but he will always remain a very, VERY, big COWARD..... War is supposed to be fought on the battle field, not like these people want it to be, in the midst of innocent people...you, Mr.#14, didn't hear the screams, desparate screams of my neighbour when she received the phone call to say that he son was in smitherines...translated...his body was not recognisable.... oh by the way...another friend ...also on a bus, was miraculously saved...she actually thought she was dead because there were all dead bodies over her and she cried out ''Shema Israel'' and only then did the firemen find her...believe me ....I have faith in our IDF, and whatever happens, I will ALWAYS have faith in them. 20. tax money, corruption, and frightened "Israeli" society
mazen ,   mqassir@yahoo.com   (02.20.08)
:) What I see is "Israeli" soldiers and officials frightened to death, while sayyed nasrallah lead the military training in south lebanon just recently. Al Manar's reporter stood few centimeters from the borderline; not one "Israel" soldiers dared to come out of their post. You know they have strict rules. never show out of their posts because otherwise, they might get captured or kidnapped. And yes, what about sderot? How the "Israeli" officials dare use the tax money for protection when they're on vacation while sderot people are under daily qassam rocket attacks? But I have the answer. Who cares about sderot residents? what's important is olmert's security and his staff. He even got a nuclear shelter built for him with your tax money you know.
