emphasema and heart disease in the IDF. Keep that nasty shit out of all government and public buildings. In fact, missing from the bill are government and military vehicles. Go outside and kill yourselves.

smoking is third world, dangerous and simply stupid. Give em good food. lots of excercise and tough love, In time you will have a true fighting force. At the same time rid youself of your pathetic politicos. send them to the gallows for treason.
9. outlaw smoking altogether along with drugs
yoni ,   jerusalem   (02.19.08)
save lives and get rid of ciggarette smoking entirely. it will save tons of lives and will save the country on health insurance with allt he side effects that people cause themselves by smoking. The state should not have to pay for people who harm themselves.
10. Smoking ban
Dan ,   Herzliya, Israel   (02.19.08)
Good move but how will it be enforced? Can we also ask for something to be done about people smoking at bus stops? In spite of them being outside, it is most annoying when you are waiting for a bus and you struggle to breath because a smoker or two could not be bothered about anyone but themselves
11. smoking
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (02.19.08)
I personally, don't like smoking but this law is a waist of time. The non smoking ban in public places is not enforced, does anyone really think this will be?

Josh   (02.20.08)
It is nice to see that something is being done to prevent the social acceptance of this nasty habit. It has become so much part of the military culture. It time to put an end to the Tobacco idustry selling a known harmful substance that is adictive. Now will it work?
19. Say what??????!!!!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (02.20.08)
That's right, take an 18 year old kid, shove a gun in his hand, tell him to serve his country but don't allow him to smoke on the base, not even outside in a field. HAVE YOU ANY IDEA HOW REPELLENT THAT IS? I'm not saying smoke in the dining room, but let them smoke outside if they want!!!!!!!!!!!!

NYC Girl   (02.20.08)
Forget the ban. Just tell the male soldiers that research (some of which was done in Israel as a matter of fact) links smoking to an increased risk of impotence. Tell the female soldiers it causes wrinkles (which it does). Problem solved.

Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (03.19.08)
Doing the Christian tourist thing all over and being allergic to cigarette smoke simply had to leave the arab section of the Old City in Jerusalem because nearly every vendor sat in his chair smoking. Not many sales for them. How anyone can remain addicted to this habit is truly a mystery to me. Of course I am a holier than thou ex-smoker, and if I could quit, so can you!
