Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. I knew about AIPAC but these acronyms were unknown to me. Congressman Weldon and others who support “unity of all peoples of good will to declare that those who stand together for freedom, democracy and justice must stand with Israel in its hour of greatest trial” could do so under that banner or simple voice their opinion as Members of Parliament. If Bibi or Elon want “this network of inter-parliamentary caucuses that have been created around the world will bring in a new era of political support for Israel" they should liase with them as politicians pure and simple, but not as faith based iniatives.

But, let's face a fact of life regarding support for the Christians who aid Israel, there are the detractors. We Jews number 13m and are a dying breed. Israel has 5.4m Jews, many secular with little regard for Zionism. Americans for Peace Now consist of many Jews (pro-Palestinian). 70m Evangelical Christians want Israel to survive, thrive and retain its' 67 borders (they were against the disengagement-later proven correct). We Jews cannot fight Islamo-fascism alone, we need allies. Israel is beseiged from all over..including (progressive) US churchs. From Mormons to Methodists to the Church of England, come calls of "Boycott" the Jews, damned be their survival. They claim to "Love us"., but encourage economic warfare. Thank G-d for those "Infidels" who support our continuing survival..for this is what it's all about...not a temporary pre-fabricated homes near Ramallah, or Arab E. Jerusalem. One of the big reasons many of our congresspeople support Israel is because of the large Christian voting bloc in the US. Christians WANT their congressperson to have the US allied with Israel.
