1. Sderot residents.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (02.22.08)
All the Jewish population in Israel and abroad should support the people of Sderot. But even if the IDF invade Gaza.don't have unrealistic expectations; Don't overreact to bad news or future terrorist attacks; Do be alert; and Do put aside political differences in order to present a unified front against radical Islam. Never forget our strength is in our unity. Lets hear the opinion of a US General about fighting terrorism at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/us-general-explains-how-to-fight.html

7. Happiness instead of Terrorism for a Day in Sderot
David Fain ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.22.08)
I returned just now from a day shopping in Sderot, the town usually read about in the news for receiving the brunt of terrorist rocket attacks on innocent civilians. I am glad to report there were no rocket attacks while I was there, in fact there were actually hundreds of Israelis and Americans out shopping. There was even a traffic jam. Yes, a traffic jam!! For once the police were actually trying to do their normal job of controlling traffic and not having to run from terrorist attack to attack. When I was in Sderot a couple months ago the town was empty. The local residents were sad and depressed. For at least today the feeling was reversed. There was a hustle and bustle of people shopping, crowds gathered at coffee shops, and people walking along the street. Although it has seven years since the attacks started, I guess this is a classic time to say better late than never. I think it is extremely impressive that when Israelis finally do act to support Sderot instead of running away from the town people are finally running toward it. In a country where we are all brothers and sisters it is important that we go and support our brothers and sisters in their town, their shops, and their homes. Terrorists for one day didn't strike terror; we struck them back not with anger and weapons but with joy and happiness in the streets.

Vicki ,   Kadima, Israel   (02.22.08)
What a wonderful initiative, what I just read made me cry. It is about time that we stood together and helped our fellow Israeli. Well done to all who went and a very big Shabat Shalom.
11. We Must Aid Sderot NOW
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (02.22.08)
To Vicki and other comments: I checked out the link to helping Sderot. and am purchasing articles through the Internet. This is the least I can do for my religious brethren, who, unlike me, safe in California, are fighting my fight. Thanks for the information. Israelis too, by showing support for the beseiged countrymen, are fortifying the entire population against 17 years of this Islamo-fascism movement to rid the area of it's Jews (not to forget 7 wars). There is so much more we in the Disapora can do however.
12. Support Sderot, But Don't Lose Focus
Dave Levy ,   Burbank.CAUSA   (02.22.08)
To David Fein. I am an American born Jew, and do my best to help Israel thrive and survive. Giving moral (and economic) support to Sderot is important. However, Israel needs to come with an answer to the rockets. I know it's not easy. Condi is now pressuring Israel to go easy on the Strip as is the EU. That translates into Israel not defending itself, and allowing the rockets to fall unabated. I don't frankly have the answer's for Israel, nor should I, But because Kassams are crude and often times ineffective (for Hamas), doesn't mean Israel should be relunctant to hit back hard.
13. Very touching
Bill Ross ,   Alabama, USA   (02.22.08)

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BLESS ALL OF YOU IN ISRAEL FOR WHAT YOU DOING FOR SHDEROTH...JUST KOL HAKAVOD....IT IS A VERY STRONG MESSAGE TO ALL OUR ENNEMY.....IF WE ALL STICK TOGETHER...NO FORCE IN THE WORLD WILL BE ABLE TO DESTROY US.....AGAIN ISRAEL KOL HAKAVOD...AND GOD BLESS ALL THE PEOPLES OF SHDEROTH....THANK YOU....DANIEL RIMOKH..
15. They say people get the government they deserve. Not so.
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (02.22.08)
This initiative is the proof. The government shrugs its shoulder, insists there's "no solution" to [insert problem here], and talks about the importance of the "peace process". Yet here we see made real the idea that "All Israel is responsible, one for another". This is what makes Israel the special place it is.
16. Israel: a magical and holy place like no other!!
Golan ,   tel aviv   (02.22.08)
This is the Israel we know and love! If only the peoples of the world could see the beauty of Israel and her people. It's a true pitty that the rest of the middle east is so dark and hating!
17. Pour everything into it

18. There is a lot that can be done for Sderot
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (02.23.08)
by the Dispora (Jews outside Israel) For one, the Majority who think that they do not need Israel, should remember what happened to the Jewish population of Germany pre and in WW2. 2. You can lobby your own government offices, march in favour of Israel in the streets of your communities, like the one in London just over a year ago. 3. Donate to Sderot direct. If you buy on line make sure that the product is coming from Sderot and not via another link just out to make a profit from a terrible situation. Contact the Mayors office for official links. ABOVE ALL Protest at anti-semetic marches, that may be against Israel now but will be against ALL JEWS later. Then Christians, Hindus, until Islam is the only force left. Think about it, thats how Nazism was successful, because Jews thought they were too secular and therefore safe.
19. My opinion
Tanya ,   Petah Tikva   (02.24.08)
Dear team of Ynet, My name is Tanya and I'm a student in Amal-Bet High school at Petah-Tikva. I have read the article about people from across Israel, who arrived in rocket- battered town to do their Shabbat shopping and showed their support for Sderot residents. In my opinion, it a very successful idea. I believe that it will cheer up the people who are suffering in Sderot.

If all the people cooperate, we will help each other in hard times because " A friend in need is a friend indeed".
21. Well done israeli citizens!
Adam ,   Israel, Petach Tikva   (02.24.08)
First of all I have to say that Im delighted with the initiative , well done to the strong spirit of the israeli citizens and well done for the support. My name is Adam, I'm a student in amal B high school in Petach Tikva, In my opinion this outstanding initiative is clarifying the government how much the israeli society does'nt believe in them. This action also shows sderot that they are not alone as they thought before ,this is showing them that they have the full support of the israeli citizens, and we all with them for the good and for the bad.
22. KJHSDFKUYSD
R.S   (02.24.08)
The residents of sderot live in a constant fear. Due to the fact that their mental and financial condition isn't bright, in my opinion the support convoy visited Sderot was a wonderful idea. People of Sderot needed to feel the support and security in light of the unwillingness of the government to come up with a temporary solution like the "Nautilus" missile protection system.
