IAEA: Iran more open on atom work, bomb fears remain    Reuters
1. wake up and smell the uranium!
dont understand why u think iran cares about ur lousy sancsions, we need to bomb theyr nuclior facilities asap u r sleeping if u think otherwize. iran and all RADICALIZES muslims are the cancer of the world and the sooner u akgnolage this undesputed fact the more chance u have of not being "infected" extreem meens call for extreem measures...hope and pray someone is doing something more than silly usless sanctions

2. It's Probably Too Late Now
If the IAEA found this, it is probably the tip of the iceberg, much more is hidden. I believe that Iran has probably passed the point of no return and will have nukes "when", not "if". And I believe Israel has waited too long. This is what happens when you elect corrupt idiots to lead you.

3. Does Israel Have An Adequate Defense?
To Jerry: no oil exporter needs to make expensive nuclear plants. Iran has been planning on nukes for years, and very effectively. The question is: when will the West decide to finally end this farce? Will it happen before, OR, AFTER, Iran tests it's first nuke? The decision will be as difficult as it is now..with Iran threatening to unlease 40,000 suicide bombers, it's Rev Guards, thousands of intermediate range missiles (on Israel/US interests). Terrorist cells are right here in the good old USA. Are the FBI, etc., watching them I ask? Are we in the US doing all that we can to thwart them? Is Europe still blind to Islamo-fascism? Hez, Hama, etc., perhaps Syria..and who knows who else, will join in any "Final Jihad". 30m Iranians AND 15m Syrians will die within 3 weeks of an all out Israeli nuclear attack..on dozens of their cities. But, Iran may get 1-2 nukes through and dozens of chemical/biological warheads. Are Israel's Patriots and Arrows sufficient to stop them? Does Israel has the equivalent of an Aegis defense? Are Israel's being provided with masks..I fear not.

4. No to Iran's nuclear program.
In order to put an end to Iran's nuclear program, the U.S.A. has to close the door to investment in the Iran oil sector, loans to the government from the World Bank and from corporations around the world. Only then, it will be possible to negotiate with strength. There is a rumor that the United States is already doing all it can [on Iran] – it is not true. The United States does’nt put sufficient economic pressure on Iran. In the economic area they have been very unwilling to take the steps that have to be taken. Iran is still collecting the physical material needed for nuclear weapons. Iran is on target to having nuclear weapons by the middle of the next decade. Iran is using the development of civilian energy infrastructure to assist its nuclear program. If Iran will have the bomb, it will not hesitate to use its nuclear power against the West as explained at : :http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/nuclear-power-and-anti-semitism.html

9. Agree with Dave #3
Israel will get hit hard too and being such a small country anyway, its highly likely there will be no areas safe to live. The enemy only needs to land a few unconventional weapons to achieve this and that seems achievable. The only part I disagree with is the rapidity of the demise of the enemy populations: I think they will perish within the first days. One thing is for sure; Israel's demise will be accompanied by their enemy's. No one will be able to live in the region.

10. a Bomb by Year's End
As part of a project to improve control of nuclear materials, the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy set up a detailed simulation of the centrifuges currently used by Iran in the Natanz nuclear facility to enrich uranium. The results look nothing like those reached by the US intelligence community. For one scenario, the JRC scientists assumed the centrifuges in Natanz were operating at 100 percent efficiency. Were that the case, Iran could already have the 25 kilograms of highly enriched uranium necessary for an atomic device by the end of this year. Another scenario assumed a much lower efficiency -- just 25 percent. But even then, Iran would have produced enough uranium by the end of 2010. What is known, however, is that the Iranians are operating 18 cascades, each made up of 164 centrifuges. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad himself said last April that the country had 3,000 centrifuges in operation. At the time, most Western observers discounted the claim as mere propaganda. But the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed Ahmadinejad's assertion in November.

11. BACK TO SQUARE ONE
Irrespective of what Iranians show to the IAEA inspectors, some of the Western countries reaction will remain the same.Iran has chosen the difficult path and will have to tread on the same for the near future. However, sanctions will slow its progress but just like we say........better late than never!!!

12. How much evidence do we need...
Seriously, over the last couple of weeks, we have seen the following: -Missile test launch for satellites -New Centrifuges for processing uranium -Calculations on best elevations to detonate bombs (for maximum damage) Doesn't take someone with a PhD to understand what that means. They are building bombs and will launch bombs when they have them.

13. MUCH MORE TO COME,MAX.......#12
It is very much true that the 3 things you mentioned have occured in IramBut by the same token, why should Iran NOT develope the faster way of eriching the uranium? On the launching of a rocket for data gathering, why the hue and cry over it?USA and Israel have several satelittes circiling round and gathering intelligence data over Iran. Why not the reciprocal move as well? Why?The development on detonation is nothing new.Rockets and missiles are being manufactured in Iran for the past few years. Why not improve on its quality and detterent? You, probably have a set mind believing that the Iranians should fold their arms and see the rhetorics and plots hatched by the Superpower and their regional allies to continue and be at their mercy.Forget it,just forget it,Max.Gone are the days of that hegemony and be prepared for the realities on the ground.Much more is to follow and you will have learn to live with it,I am afraid.Keep yourself updated and dont refrain from putting yourself in the shoes of the Iranians to find out how a proud nation feels with this consistent rhetorics emanating from Washington. The latest being this article.
