1. SHOOT anyone who approaches the border!!
Sergio ,   Israel   (02.25.08)
It is IN LEGAL TERMS an enemy entity and a terror controlled land: what is wrong with people like Barnea? HE wants MORE terrorism?... That's all he'll get with his appeasement attitude!
2. Adapted rules.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (02.25.08)
As the main target of the terrorists are the civilian population our response to this kind of war should also be without compromising. First of all, the medias should be kept away from the battlefield until the army has finished its job. The civilians collaborating with the terrorists, the “human shields”, should be treated as soldiers without uniforms. We should not have humanistic considerations unless they will treat the kidnapped soldiers and their families in a human way as well. But lets proceed with order as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/stop-them-with-clear-cut-victory-part-i.html
3. Barnea is correct, Israel has only one move... to end siege
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (02.25.08)
Only by ending the siege fo Gaza and recognizing the right of the Palestinians to elect their own leaders can Israeli leaders hope to get out of the checkmate they find themselves in today. If Israeli troops start exterminating the innocent civilians that they have been collectively punishing and trying to starve for months for simply exercising their right to vote in a democratic election, I doubt even the few friends Israel has left in the world would be able to block the international repercussion that would befall Israel, and bring into serious question whether Israel does indeed have a right to exist at all. Ending the siege and recognizing the Palestinians right to vote for whomever they choose is clearly Israel's only way out... yet somehow I doubt that Israelis are smart enough to realize it given their record of utter arrogance.
4. Why compare demonstrations against
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (02.25.08)
ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif to hoards of sworn enemies trying to breach the border? Reponse should be simple - shoot them on the spot. That's certainly not our worry of how the trespassers on our land dwell in Azza. Let them all go to Egypt, Arabia, to wherever they belong..
5. BARNEA YOU ARE BORRRRING......
(02.25.08)
6. "siege"
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Ephraim   (02.25.08)
What you call "siege" is nothing more then the completition of the infamous "disengagement". You can't have it half way: Jews out but business as usual. Specially in presence of kassam fireing
7. I love you Nahun Barnea
Harissa ,   Israel   (02.25.08)
8. Barnea,defeatist moron, because of you and your likes
Ariel ,   Smewhere Over there   (02.25.08)
hundreds and hundreds of Israelies died in terror attacks and our country had lost all the power of deterrent. Does Hamas pay you?
9. "Bread-seeking Civilians"?
Yussuf ,   Israel   (02.25.08)
The Gazans who invaded Sinai were spurred on by the opportunity to buy food and other provisions in Egypt. Were an "invasion" of Israel to take place, it certainly will not be for the purpose of purchasing food because there are no stores to be found along the border. It is correct therefore to treat the attempted crossing as the police have suggested and to dampen the ardor of the protestors perhaps air-tankers should douse them with water from the air making their advance difficult if not impossible. Rains effectively cancel demonstrations.
10. There needs to be clear cut rules
Danny   (02.25.08)
You approach the border you get shot. End of story. Otherwise we'll have what we had on the northern border before the "divine victory".
11. israel's actions
avrom ,   bet shemesh   (02.26.08)
whatever action Israel takes the world will aquiesce to .such as the siege, the tougher the measures the weaker the palestinians .Israel mounted a tough response to the human chain and the palestinians backed off .G-d runs the world in two ways one a quantum mode when israel takes the necessary security measures and ignores the rest of the world which is what israel did today and because G-d is omnipotent it rained heavily and few Palestinians joined the chain and it was a palestinian failure similarly 1967 ENTEBBE AND OSIRAK was a success because G-d is omnipotent and ensures Israel's success through miracles in quantum mode because Israel ignored the rest of the world and acted in it security interests and secondly in a Newtonion mode when Israel's leaders think that Bush runs the world and appease the world and terrorists then only negative things happen such as the peace process and the YOM KIPPUR WAR
12. Why end siege when they are attacking us?
Rachel ,   Negev   (02.26.08)
Naturally that guy from Norway (Norway!) would agree with Nahum Barnea about ending the siege. But I haven't seen far left wing journalists like Barnea or Norwegians come up with any bright ideas to keep the Hamas from firing qassams at innocent children in Sderot. You are both hyopcrites - or worse, you hate Israel and Israelis so much that our security is counted an evil. And that goes for you too, Mr. Journalist.
13. gaza
sas ,   israel   (02.26.08)
they move - we move in with tanks like vacuum cleaners and kill them all - women/children/men - they all are equal and their hatred is the same. this is the only language they understand. we should have done that at the beginiing after the first episode withthe2 poor soldiers who took he wrong road. an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth. the picture on TIME or Newsweek will never leave my mind. We are dealing with creatures that don't even belong in a wild park - but only in a grave. the faster it is done - the better off we will all be..ohlmert - u belong here and not in japan........you are leading a country at war and your government is full of idiots.
