1. Well... My dear Neighbours in Gaza
Esther, Ofarim, Isra ,   Ofarim, Israel   (02.25.08)
Stop shooting Kassams, stop attacking Israel and there will be no "siege". It's called a no-brainer. Get it?
2. Will IDF be able to resist firing on all those children?
Rodger Dodger   (02.25.08)
Currently the Vegas line is 3.7 to 1 that the IDF will not be able to resist shooting at children that come within thier sights. Place your bets today online
3. "Siege"
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Ephraim   (02.25.08)
"Mass Gaza rally: Siege will only make us stronger". What siege? We "disengaged" from you 2 years ago, remember? You were celebrating it by burning down synagogues and dancing and waiving V signs and pal flags on the roofs. Remember? And the whole world applauded and you were to build your viable and democratic pal state, side by side, shooting kassams on us, you talented lot!
4. The way forward
Said ,   London, UK   (02.25.08)
That is the way forward for the people of Palestine! Israel and the west will be much more recptive to non-violent forms of protests than bombing kids in a disco! The blacks in America won their rights this way, I don't see why a Palestinian state cannot become a reality if the Palestinians continue down this path!
5. Yalla!! what we waiting for???
Israel   (02.25.08)
There are all lined up in a row.
6. No, what makes them stronger
Mike Jefferson ,   Washington, D.C.   (02.25.08)
is a defeatist, dissembling government like the one headed by Olmert.
7. A different solution - Well-being instead politics.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (02.25.08)
Instead of counting the daily dead and injured Arab as a result of the terrorist war they declared on Israel, it would be wiser for the Arabs to abandon politics and terrorism, and search for a better future for themselves and their children, to choose well-being instead of politics and understand that a “Palestinian state” is mot the solution to their distress and misery. Huge amount have already been paid by the international community in order to help these people but the only beneficiary were the Arab politiciens. Even if there will be a “Palestinian state” the conditions of the population will not improve. The solution to their misery is elsewere : they should think about emigrating, discretely, to other Arab countries, (most of these countries are not very populated and can easily integrate them). That is the real solution as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/new-paradigm-for-israeli-palestinian_19.html
8. A solidarity protest with Sderot along the Gazan border
(02.25.08)
would be a perfect answer!
9. Cut the crap. One Palestinian is better off than one Egyptia

Michael ,   Haifa   (02.25.08)
You are as nasty a piece of work as Ahmedinejad and Nasrallah
11. Gaza Rally
Britt ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (02.25.08)
It seems impossible for the arabs to run a country in function, and it doesn´t matter how much money west put in. I think the main problem is islam that create dissatiesfied people always blaming someone else.
12. I Don't Understand What The Arabs Are Protesting
emanon ,   USA   (02.25.08)
Control of Gaza was granted quite some time ago. It is not Israel's problem they have not got their fecal material coagulated enough to form a stable government to negotiate anything with Israel. When the Arabs are not fighting Israel, they are fighting among each other to determine who's in charge. Who is Israel to hold any negotiations with? If they negotiate with Fatah, Hamas says it is invalid. If Israel negotiates with Hamas (yeah, there's a joke), Fatah says it is invalid . . . after Hamas then says all deals are off.
13. that's the spirit!
(02.25.08)
14. You shall not pass!! a border has been clearly marked...
Sally Forth ,   Jerusalem of course!   (02.25.08)
Kol HaKavod to the IDF for holding the line! Thanks to HaKadosh Baruchu (G-d) for rain (nice touch - a natural water canon!) The Gazans didn't cross into Israel today as they crossed into Egypt a few weeks ago. and that is definitely an important victory for the IDF. It also puts the Right Wingers in place because if they had still been inside Gaza the IDF could not have sealed off the area and held the line. Now my dear Gazans stop being fools...stop bombing our Southern towns!!!! Get thee to the peace table!
15. Then Remain Sieged And Don't Complain
Sam   (02.25.08)

18. So who is manning the rocket launchers?
Talula ,   Israel   (02.25.08)
I say that now they have formed an orderly line - they should march into Egypt and find a new life there. Everybody happy!
19. #6 you worry about yours leave our government to us

20. #6 disembling gvt. ?

So before you open a mouth about our losers like the man of a thousand investigations Olmert and Chaim slip of the tongue Ramon the convicted sex offender look at America's losers!

Control of Gaza was not granted 'quite some time ago'. The borders are controlled by israel. The sea is controlled by israel. The air space is controlled by israel. No one enters or leaves wihout israel's permission. The are regular and deadly raids by the IDF into Gaza when people are killed and others abducted. Israel and the US demanded that Gaza held democratic elections. They did. And Hamas won. israel and the US didn't like the result of the democratic election so sealed the border even tighter and stepped up the pressure to make the Gazans revoke their choice. This type of pressure usually goes under the term 'terrorism'.
22. #5 is openly calling for a genocide. #18 is for expulsion.
Doron ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (02.25.08)
And, they seem to be ecstatic and enthusiastic about their call too. Is this what Israel has become?! These enthusiastic calls for genocide and expulsion surely remind us some others in history. These comments are sad, embarrassing, and dangerous.
23. invicta
israeli ,   israel   (02.25.08)
that may be, but it appears that the much publicized rally was a flop. Shame that a child in Sderot was injured by rocket fire. Apparently Hamas is not brave enough to engage the IDF, still blindly shooting rockets and going for innocent civilian victims.
24. watch what happen when people protest in the occupied territ

a mere scratch. Not like the South American volunteer killed by sniper fire: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3497179,00.html BEsides, your ISM activist could see the soldiers, he could have walked away. The Ecuadorian young man was working the fields when he was shot in the back.
26. Pals irrrational
Tony ,   London   (02.25.08)
The Pals hate Israel/Jews and want to destroy the country but yet they insist on open borders to cross into the country for supplies and medical treatment. They can't have it both ways.
27. #20, Careful!
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (02.25.08)
Mike, although you're spot on in your descriptions of those on the left in the US, spare our President! Were it not for George Bush, you'd have had Monsieur Jean Francois Kerrie watching over Israel. Would you have slept so well in Jerusalem these past seven years? The pronunciation of "nuclear" does not cloud the reasoned judgment of Bush, the best friend Israel could wish for among those so-called 'leaders' in your screed. The F15s and Patriots guarding your security are not being provided by morons, so show a little restraint in your condescension.
28. #21, #12 is RIGHT
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (02.25.08)
Gaza was given it's autonomy. What did it do with it? Elected Hamas - an atavistic, terrorist-based government. People who elect such government deserve nothing better than total isolation and political ostracization. Thank goodness Israel controls the borders, air and sea around Gaza. The day Gaza stops attacking Israel, there will be peace. The day the Palestinians would gain control the borders, air and sea is the day Israel will be annihilated.
29. #28
Invicta ,   Europa   (02.25.08)
A couple of points. John Kerry was a decorated Vet. Several times over infact and has actually fought for his country. Ask Bush to show you his medals. Second - Democracy means the will of the people. Hamas is a resistance organisation in the eyes of many. Hamas has no record of exporting violence outside of its region. Hamas is a response to occupation just as the militants in Iraq are a response to occupation and indeed the rebels were a response to the British occupation of the States. The US has failed to 'subjugate' Iraq and was miserably defeated in Vietnam despite overwhelming firepower and spending trillions of dollars. A guerilla force with local support will always win. Your claim that once the Palestinians gain control of their border is the day Israel is annihilated does not correspond to fact. First of all it is the Palestinians who are being annihilated - just check the figures (deaths, injuries, settlements, WALLS, appropriated land, bulldosed villages, checkpoints - that sort of thing) and how do you propose the annihilation is committed seeing as the Palestinians have little more than AK47s and home made rockets?
30. # 1
