Finally, Israel is doing something concrete to stop Hamas It should have been done months, if not years ago. Essentially, the threat from the terrorist organization, should have been nipped in the bud., just as Hitler should have been stopped in 1933, when hundreds of French and British divisions surrounded Germany. Now, Israel, while shown to be the aggressor, will have a harder fight to rid the area of this cancer, rapidly alligning with Iran and Syria. There is a chance Hez will join in any battle, and strike Israel from the north. But Israel will have to take that risk. Syria and Iran might send troops or fire missiles into Israel. Israel's problem was trying to appease it's enemies...to avoid all of this. It's understandable..but the wrong policy, as we all are witnessing. The disengagement bebacle has finally sunk in. Uprooting the settlers, based on wishful thinking was a big mistake. If anything, the military shoud have remained..to keep some control, which is what is now being conceived. When the first Kassam was fired, Israel should have given a warning..and followup..and meant it.

sewage dropped on rocket squads makes tracking by dog or robot far more effective. moreover once hit by a sewage bomb, there is a certain deterrence factor. so bomb the rocket launchers with sewage or better yet fit it into high pressure hoses and hose em down with it. sewer rats like sewage don't fall into the trap of sending in tanks it's a trap

From "preparing" to "materializing" with Olmert and Barak behind it, is still a long way to go. Arutz-7 reports: Reports in the Israeli media suggest that the IDF is not about to launch a large scale ground assault on Gaza. Voice of Israel government radio quoted senior diplomatic sources Friday as saying that a large scale operation in Gaza has still not been approved. The sources said that the security forces will continue following the current pattern of operations, and concentrate on terror infrastructures and rocket launchers. They added that any attack will only be carried out at a time that suits Israel, and not because of pressure or constraints.
