Someone should point out often, and with great emphasis, that whenever Abbas (or whichever Arab or Muslim leader) condems the Palestinian rocket attacks, they should not say that it gives Israel a "pretext" or an "excuse" to respond militarily. When they say that, they make it sound like Israel WANTS the headache of having to fire on gaza...as if Israel is just looking for any reason to send in troops. What they SHOULD say is that the Palestinian rocket attacks create an OBLIGATION and RESPONSIBILITY for Israel to respond militarily. Whenever someone hears the them talking about the rockets giving Israel an "excuse", the correct terminology should be pointed out to them.

In reference to your question, why Israel ignores Abbas's Holocaust denial, is because Fatah, and PA, and Abbas are Israeli's only "peace" partner. Therefore, for the sake of "peace", everything else gets swept under the rug: Holocaust Denial, ongoing terrorism (by PA policemen), sovereignty over Jerusalem, ongoing incitement by the PA in their schools, rocket attacks on Israeli civilians and children losing their legs.
