Unfortunatly the only reason Olmert is taking action is because he is trying to keep Shas onboard and a politicians ratings allways rise during wartime .. a sign of solidarity and national pride. While there is fighting going on Shas isnt going to pull out that means Olmerts going to stay in power. These atacks have been going on for years but he hasnt taken any real action untill now when his coalition is having problems.

If the whole INTL community wants this to end, they also need to deal with Hamas. Saudi Arabia and all memebrs of the Annapolis conference need an Annappolis force to oust Hamas, Take over Israel`s role of West Bank Humiliation checkpoints and deal with Palestinian terror to allow Israel and the PA the diplomacy to continue peace talks, otherwise this and every other peace initiative WILL NOT WORK. Israel has no choice but to respond. Israel needs to offer an alternative. Israel or Annapolis Force is going to deal with the terror threat...but Israel needs to get going in the West Bank to start getting some momentum behind the PA.
