2. Israel has power
Olmert is unwilling and unable to use Israel's power to defend Israel against Hamas and Hizballah. He will fail against Iran.

6. Iran Is A House Built Of Cards
When the hammer falls, it will come down hard on this vulnerable nation of foolish leaders. A few well placed missiles at Iran's oil installations on the coastline of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's oil revenue will instantly be over and their murderous Islamic leaders will soon follow. This scenario as devastating as it would be doesn't even begin to cover the rest of the strikes that the Persians will have to absorb. Iran is a house of cards that will fall fast.

7. Ahmadinejad and nuclear power.
To understand why Ahmadinejad has chosen his dangerous path, one must understand his origins. In his youth, the Iranian president was a member of the basij, a radical paramilitary movement built by Khomeini at the onset of the Revolution. Literally translated as “Mobilized Resistance Force,” the basij became a zealous arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) where devotion and sacrifice were the basis of “human wave” surges during the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), leading to hundreds of thousands of senseless deaths. Khomeini taught that survival of the fighters was irrelevant; they were participating in a battle for Allah, which was to provide ultimate fulfillment and gratification. Thus, when Ahmadinejad entered public life, first as the mayor of Tehran and then as head of state, he injected basiji irrationality into politics. In the name of revolution, Ahmadinejad seeks to achieve Iranian grandeur via nuclearization, and to fearlessly spread anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, even if leads to war as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/nuclear-power-and-anti-semitism.html

13. cease fire
The human rights situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories continues to worsen. It is over six years since the outbreak of the latest uprising, or intifada, and the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations have effectively collapsed. The human rights situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories - the Gaza Strip and West Bank, including East Jerusalem - has deteriorated to an unprecedented level. Prospects for a just and durable resolution of the conflict appear to be remote.
The undercurrent of violence, abuses of fundamental human rights and disregard for international law that have marked the 40-year Israeli military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, have become firmly entrenched and relentless. Civilians in both Israel and the Occupied Territories have borne the brunt of the confrontations.

14. #6 Agree: All hot air now...until they get the bomb.
The equation changes then of course and nobody will stop them getting it.
They will have it and know it. That's why they're making so many belligerent noises. Not too far away.
We should all prepare for the Iranian ransom note/s when they do.

15. 28m Wasted Iranians In 3 Weeks
Let's get real folks, if really wanted, Olmert's govt' can be history. Israel can vote no confidence, call for new elections. That said: what would all the back seat drivers on this, and other websites do, if they were in charge? Would they nuke Beirut (Hez), and send in 300,000 reservists to Gaza City? Would they displace Egypt's control along the border? Would they bomb Syria's border. Get real. israel is being forced (by Condi) to pick it's spots..so as not to worsen collateral damage. The UN already blames it for excessive force. Iran is another matter. A major study shows 28m dead Iranians in 3 weeks of all out fighting with the Jewish state. Syria looses 12m. , Israel 1-1.5m casualties. Is that what we all want? Iran would still have 47m left over..for another strike or neutron bombs. I mean, lets get real. The answer is to make Iranians understand the "Consequences of their actions"., ASAP. Targeting Ahmad also would be a good idea...send him to those 72 virgins in hell. Or do as the Brits did in WW1, use pig fat as a weapon of choice.

16. Iran versus Israel
"Israel . . . has the power to defend itself against any threat," the prime minister noted.
The PM needs to take great care to see that it does. His record thus far is not so great.

18. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE THINK ?
WHEN WE BOMB THE HELL OUT OF IRAN, WHERE ARE OUR JEWISH BRETHOREN GOING TO BE ?
THE REAL QUESTION IS;
WOULD IRAN ALLOW THE RELEASE OF IT'S JEWISH CITIZENRY EVEN FOR A WEEK ?
WOULD OUR NOBLE CHAMPIONS OF WORLD DIALOG (THE U.N.)EVER PASS A RESOLUTION TO ALLOW JEWS TO LEAVE EN MASS ?
WHILE EVERYONE IS EFFUSIVELY PONTIFICATING ARROGANTLY, SABER RATTLING, AND EXHORTING THE RIGHTEOUS NOBILITY OF THEIR SHALLOW AGENDA DRIVEN CONVICTIONS , THE EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO THE JEWS OF IRAN REMAINS THOROUGHLY UNADDRESSED !
I'D LIKE TO HEAR SOMETHING INTELLIGENT CONTRIBUTED TO THE DIALOG, UNTIL THEN I'D LIKE TO HEAR NOTHING !
OH YEAH, YOU FEEL GOOD BUT, THINKING WELL WOULD BE EXCEEDINGLY MORE CONSTRUCTIVE AND FAR LESS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE !

20. No one said "wiped off the map"!
The quote the Ahmadinejad has been give credit/blamed for was in fact a quote itself. The actual translation is "the Imam (Khomaini) said the occupying regime of Jerusalem must be taken off the future pages of history".
See http://www.antiwar.com/orig/norouzi.php?articleid=11025
The body responsible for the "wiped off the map" translation is MEMRI a Zionist translation service. See: http://www.democracyarsenal.org/2007/02/separating_ahma.html
So screw your brains back on and start thinking rationally. Too much power in the hands of too few is always dangerous. Do not always trust what you read and question everything.
