Mark ,   USA   (03.11.08)
Congrats to the singer for being brave and standing up for what she believes in.! Arabs do this same thing all over the world, and it is not limited to those who support Israel. See: Arab reaction to Danish cartoons.

And this will never happend in Israel. [/sarcasm over] Give it a rest with this BS. Free comercial and money in the poket. Now all of you go out and buy here album so she can earn some more money. :D
6. Arabs try to silence the truth, but aren't sucessful:)
Avi ,   New York   (03.11.08)
Yea, they'll keep on trying to spread hate and violence while someone is singing a beautiful song. Well, once again, they were proven they are not going to stop decent people from loving Israel. All the murdering they want to blame on Israel while they keep firing rockets and bring suffering onto themselves. Really, you have to give it to them, they really believe they deserve respect from anyone.
7. Thank you Glykeria!!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (03.11.08)

11. to "oh my gosh"
ash ,   gush etzion   (03.11.08)
actually every mizrahi singer sings in arabic. most jews have arabic language albums in their collection and many arab singers are invited to sing in israel. farid el atrache (famous egyptian singer) is considered by most mizrahi jewish singers to be the3ir greatest inspiration. one of my favourite singers is an arab israeli called sharef, who sings in both hebrew and arabic. so please learn song facts!
12. Taking a brave stand in a hostile world.
Mark ,   Kosovo   (03.11.08)
I appreciate her unwaiving commitment and love for Israel. Its too bad that there are not more like her these days. Thanks Glykeria for supporting our beloved Jewish friends and the State of Israel. And while we see hostile Arabs breathing out hatred we must remember that they are not all like that.
13. Nr 5, unnamed
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (03.11.08)
If the main issue is money, then all singers should sing in arabic only. Israel & the jews are a small people. For obvious commercial reasons all the singers should sing in arabic and they will sell a lot more records.
14. As a Greek-Jordanian
Said ,   London, UK   (03.11.08)
What am I supposed to say?
15. good reaction from the audience
deftone ,   uae   (03.11.08)
Anyone who supports this apertheid state's policies should be held accountable and disrupted. This singer represents 5% of greek population as they are known to be heavily pro-palestinian, for one reason, and thats because they have a conscience.
16. Brave Singer music should be enjoyed not political
petra ,   usa   (03.11.08)
and what the hell are 'rabs doing in a night club if not to make trouble for her? Brave lady thanks for your display of courage.
17. The Arabs caused a mess - SO W HAT'S NEW.

18. No. 14 - Greek-Jordanian ? Say nothing.

19. Complicity.
Jean Van Daem   (03.11.08)
Those who defend the Palestinians uncritically are enablers of murder. Not just the murder of Israelis, about whom they clearly could hardly care less, but the murder of the Palestinian victims of the Palestinian terrorists. The uncritical Palestinian partisans also share responsibility for the blood of the Palestinians who die in Israeli strikes intended to stop the aggression against Israeli cities. Israel cannot let this go on, while the Palestinians fire more powerful rockets deeper into its territory. These attacks are the only reason for the Israeli strikes. Those who support the Palestinian “resistance” are aiding the provocation that makes these strikes necessary. Unless they temper their support with strong and unequivocal criticism of Palestinian aggression, all their sympathy for the Palestinian people is nothing more than crocodile tears as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/collapse-of-political-correctnesswhere.html
20. #14
israeli ,   israel   (03.11.08)
That the rest of the Palestinains are just like you: Greek, Jordanian, Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, etc. God will bless Glykeria for her love of Israel.
21. Would Jews do this to an Arabic singer?
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.11.08)
This has nothing to do with "Zionism" - it has to do with hating Jews. Anti-Zionism is just a convenient cover. Imagine if Jews would cause a commotion because someone sang an Arabic song? But, of course, Arabs have no problem justifying any outrageous behavior by calling it "anti-Zionist"
22. Yeah. Sadly they would.
Gideon Reader   (03.11.08)
Terry#24 Of course they would, IF the Jews causing a disturbance were leftists and the Jewish singer was religious or a nationalist. They would do even worse given the opportunity to "deal" with a rightist.
23. Same blind racism.
val   (03.11.08)
This reminds me behavior of some Israeli parliament members going mad of Mrs. Merkel speech in German in Knesset.
24. Never heard of her before, going to buy a CD right away!
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (03.11.08)

elie ,   USA   (03.11.08)
Shoot yourself! Actions speak louder than words, Greek - Jordanian?? Hahaha!! Are you a muslim greek, or a christian arab?
26. Glykeria is a saint
Jake   (03.11.08)
She is a brave woman, a great singer, and one who truly understands the soul of Israel. I salute her.
27. Deftone,#15, everyone makes mistakes
Jake   (03.11.08)
"This singer represents 5% of greek population as they are known to be heavily pro-palestinian, for one reason, and thats because they have a conscience" Many of these people now realize they were hoodwinked by Arab mass propaganda. Most Greeks are unfamiliar with Israel and Jews, but have traditional ties with the Arab world from the days of the Ottoman Empire, and the Greek Orthodox Church has extensive land holdings in the Middle East. Greece took in a number of Arab refugees and at one time turned a blind eye to the presence of Arab terrorists on their soil, or at the very least displayed a conveniently lax security. However, when it came to Greece's hour of need, in the 2007 fires, the entire Arab world did not send so much as a drop of water while their "old friend" Greece burned to a cinder. On the other hand, Israel was one of the largest contributors to the firefighting efforts. Greeks who took the Arabs' word that Israel is an "Apartheid state" would also be surprised to find out that Israel's ambassador to Greece is an Arab Moslem. You know what they say. You can't fool all of the people all of the time.
28. #23 , actions speak louder than words
Jake   (03.11.08)
There is a difference between a mob erupting at a performance and terrifying the singer, and members of Knesset expressing their personal opposition in the Knesset (which is a legitimate forum for verbal debate) to Merkel addressing the Knesset in German.
29. Thanks for the input, but no thanks
Said ,   London, UK   (03.11.08)
To clarify: Greek mother, Jordanian father. What's so funny about that, elie? And just for your information, there are actually Muslim Greeks, of Turkish descent, living in Greece. There are even Catholic Greeks (even stranger!). But shoot myslef? What for? Being born?
30. LOL Said
Korem ,   New York, USA   (03.11.08)
I don't know why but your comment in #14 was just really funny. I can imagine you popping up in the news report and shrugging your shoulders :)
