Report: Israel wants month-long truce with Hamas    Roee Nahmias
1. from the brilliant minds who brought us "victory" in 2006...
comes the latest cowardice, hubris and stupidity Olmert, the survival of the jewish people is too important for you to screw up ... please step aside...
aaron ,   ra'anana   (03.11.08)
2. I guess this is the "deterrence" Olmert talked about.
Then again maybe 30 days is enough time to break down this government and elect a new one. Shas, you there?
LEE ,   NY, USA   (03.11.08)
3. a stupid idea dreamed up to satisfy olmerts ego
Another stupid idea dreamed up by this corupt regime. A 30 day truce means 30 days for Hamas to reorganise after the damage that Israel has done to them over the past few months. They will also expect the Gaza seige to be lifted as part of that truce which Olmert will do. All the damage that has been done to them will be destroyed overnight for 30 days of quiet. Hamas may even agree to longer than 30 days after the intial trial but thats only going to be to recover economicly, millitarily and politicly and when they are ready as with all the tempory hudnas in the past they will come back fighting stronger than ever. How many times in the past have we made the mistake of taking only half measures where for a short term truce we allow the enemy to reorganise and rearm and then they come back and hit us harder than they had the ability to before the truce? Olmert is looking for an excuse to talk with Abbas because he is desperate to sell the country for his promised politicly motivated nobel prize. Bush is on his way out and he wants a legacy no matter what the cost to Israel and even if the peace exists only on paper Bush can leave office saying I DID IT I BROUGHT PEACE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND PALESTIANS If there is quiet from Hamas then its easier for these crooks with their huge egos to justify doing deals with Abbas.

4. It's HUDNA time boys & girls
Despicable Olmert the Failed 3.0, who said about a week ago that Israel would never, NEVER enter a Hudna with Hamas,is seeking a "Hudna" with exactly those F IN Savages! Standby for another windy speech about how this is not a chance for a arms & rocket buildup, but rather an opportunity to reasses and shuffle off to Bet Shemin on the yellow brick roadmap. I am waiting for the true Israeli "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore"; the pitchforks and torches, that serendipitous moment when the Jews have had their fill and decide that it is Alamo time and EFF the US, UN, EU, and particularly the "raging schmattah wearing sheep shaggers of both the PA & Hamastan". A hi tech letting of life's juice of the 5000 year half life kind is in order, says I, with arms akimbo and tie askew. Hudna my ass.

6. WHY am I not surprised?!
Just waiting for Election Day.

7. Let's celebrate "Loss of Independence Day"
We can hang white flags over the Knesset, President Peres can make speeches about the New Middle East (one without us), & Olmert can hand the keys of Jerusalem to Abbas. If we don't get rid of Olmert soon, this is where we're heading.

9. DO NOT FORGET....
We will show the west and the zionists what the will of allah (blessed be his name) really is, as it says in our holy Koran "you can shake your enemies hand until you are strong enough to cut it off" and "talk with a forked tongue for the sake of Allah"...we have been clear with you what our intentions for the Jewish state is right since the beginning, even before the naqba (disaster day) in 1948 when our holy martrys killed Zionists in the 1929 massacre. we hated you then and now, we do not want peace, we want our land back, every inch of it... Your government, especially the left wing show us such contempt by forcing their "peace" on us, we do not understand your language and you do not understand ours, we wil continue the killing until the message from us is loud and clear. We treat your concessions as weakness, no matter what you do we will ALWAYS feel the same way, so stop wasting our time and yours, Jihad is the only way allah hu akbar!

10. Dear # 8, Hamas will only stick to this 'cease fire' for as
long as itself pleases, and for as long as it doesn't get any other orders from Iran. In the mean time, WHO and WHAT will sneak into Gaza from the Rafah crossing? Don't forget that every week we find that they are trying to smuggle chemicals for rockets into Gaza by the EU food aid etc. Also EXIXTING tunnels would be open for use on conditions that weapons and ammunitions are not smuggled through them: - ) Allow me to laugh! Is it written STUPID on our foreheads?! - What WILL they bring through those tunnels, that could not be brought through Rafah in broad daylight? ... Cease fire is fine, but on OUR conditions and NOT THEIRS!

11. month long truce
with Amalek-this month's monsrosity-then what atrocity shall israel endure next month? not to worry-the agreement is 'in principle'--meaning israel gets nothing!

12. To #9 : do you have your own homemade Koran ???
as it says in our holy Koran "you can shake your enemies hand until you are strong enough to cut it off" and "talk with a forked tongue for the sake of Allah". WHERE DID YOU BUY THIS QURAN? there is nothing at all in quran like this .... come one you are cheeting the reader !!! you are not from Umm Elfahem, you are from Umm Ellahem
Pal ,   KSA   (03.11.08)
13. Shameful
I'm ashamed of this government.

14. 30 Day Truce for Rearming?
This will give Hamas plenty of time to rearm, regroup, recruit, resupply, rest and plan for the next assaults on Israel. It iwll also enable Iran to send more of its troops to Gaza. This truce is nothing more than an excuse for weak leadership. So long as the Leftists are at the helm, Israel will continue to suffer unrelenting attacks from the dark forces. It is time for a change of guards. It is time for Israel to have a strong Right Wing led government that will make Israel's enemies tremble before they plan to attack Israel again. Deterrence is very important. Weak leadership erodes deterrence and emboldens the dark forces to continue raining rockets on Israel and terrorizing the people.
