Report: Hamas toughens stance on Shalit deal    Ali Waked
1. If only we could kidnap Haniyeh
things would be so different. GIVE US BACK OUR BOY!!!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (03.12.08)
2. Pot. Kettle. Black.
How can Israel be evasive on terms when Hamas's terms change every two days or so?
Elianah   (03.12.08)
3. I see the price of one Jew has increased. Why is that Hamas?
(03.12.08)
4. OUTSIDE NEGOTIATORS NECESSARY TO BROKER TRUST IN BOT
HAMAS,COULD DEMAND THE HANDING OVER OF THE PRIME MINISTER OR PRESIDENT OR BOTH OR MORE IN AN EXCHANGE DEAL FOR SHALLIT.!...THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GIVE AND TAKE, AND FAIRNESS ON BEHALF OF THESE HAMAS NEGOTIATORS .PERHAPS OUTSIDE GUARANTORS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE FRAY,BROKER TRUST, AND "ADVISE" ALL SIDES SO THE DEAL DOESN'T GO- ON -AND -ON BEFORE SHALLIT REACHES HIS 120.BIRTHDAY.THINNGS FROM AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE ARE MUCH TOO SLOW !
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (03.12.08)
5. Supposedly to refill their ranks depelted by the IDF ->
-> following their great "victory". I say, don't release ANY terrorist. Instead give Hamas an ultimatum and if he does not release Shalit by that time, start destroying Hamas' members homes, businesses and families - one by one. We know where Shalit is held and which family keeps him prisoner under Hamas' protection. There is only one way to deal with that - destroy those gangsters and wipe their family out of existence. This is what the Russians, Chinese and Arabs would do! After all, Hamas did exactly that to "free" that pathetic UK journalist. Why don't WE do it?
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.12.08)
6. I am sorry to say...
but we, israelis are a bit stupid sometimes...we d been living among arabs simce before 48, and we still dont know anything about them...at all. As a matter of fact we know less and less as time goes by...
Harissa ,   Israel   (03.12.08)
7. They're stalling
They're stalling, dangling hope in the face of Shalit's family and all of Israel. As heartbreaking as it is to admit, they've already murdered him. Arab terrorists don't take hostages for this long and keep them alive. They're playing a game, counting on the Israelis to play along and release the Palestinian criminals. Hamas has given no concrete proof the Galid is alive and well.
Leah C ,   Maryland, USA   (03.12.08)
8. Israel surrendered to Hamas
Olmert and his government disgust me.
Sidney ,   USA   (03.12.08)
9. Hamas is in no position to make demands !
ben shlomo   (03.12.08)
10. #1and #7
Talula, the time for asking for our boy back is long over. The State of Israel must go and take him back. Leah has a very valid point: is this poor child alive. We have no proof other than the vague hints from the muppets in our self-serving so-called government.
mother of four ,   Israel   (03.12.08)
11. At what cost?
My heart goes out to the Shalit family but to what cost will Israel pay to get Gilad back (if he is still alive). The release of hundreds of convicted terrorists, many with blood on their hands. How many Israelis will pay with their lives at the hands of these released terrorists in order to save 1 life?
Schmuel ,   Florida USA   (03.12.08)
12. Remember Leb War in which160died caused by "prisoner swaps"
DO NOT SWAP SHALIT FOR MORE THAN 1 KILLER!! More Israelis will die .
Alan ,   SA   (03.12.08)
13. I hate to say it but...
I feel that Shalit is dead and that Hamas is carrying out this charade because they are vicious heartless thugs.
leo ,   NY   (03.13.08)
