Franco was a 'Fascist' military dictator, who fought only freedom-loving democrats. It simply is not possible for his reactionary regime to have renabled the rescue of Jews from the hands of the Nazis, since after all Franco accepted their help in fighting the freedom-lovers, who themselves received tanks and planes from Stalin, the guardian angel of all freedom-loving democrats.

Eduardo Propper de Callejon was a remarkable hero. He risked his life and was eventually demoted from his diplomatic post, in order to save those persecuted by the Nazis. Our Foundation, an NGO devoted to preserve and divulge the feats of the saviors of the Holocaust, was proud to pay tribute to Propper de Callejon a few years ago (2006), in a moving ceremony that took place at the Cervantes Institute in New York, with the attendance of Felipe, the savior's son. The saviors of the Holocaust represent the other side of the coin. Amidst the darkest era in the history of mankind, these remarkable women and men stood up, confronted evil and made a difference, saving not only innocent lives, but the dignity of the human race.
