David Feigenbaum ,   Netanya, Israel   (03.14.08)
Israel should insist that all future talks be held in Sderot.
3. Oh !! what a surprise !

ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (03.14.08)
5. A waste of time & Barak knows it.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.14.08)
Much as I am not a fan of Mr Barak, he was right to not waste his time on the "peace charade" - If someone said he preferred to take a nap instead, I would say it was more productive than talking to the Palestinians. As things stand now, the only reason for any talks is Olmert's political self-interest, the American administration's effort to disguise their failed policy, & a desire by both parties not to be blamed for their failure. Only a fool still believes this "peace process" will arrive at anything concrete. Who really believes Abbas & Fatah can deliver anything even vaguely resembling an agreement? The Palestinians are particularly sensitive to maintaining the illusion of being relevent. But irrelevent they are so who cares what they say?
6. Why would any Israeli Jew want to show up?
Sam ,   Canada   (03.14.08)
Erekat, Abbas and Fayyad have already said they will not accept Israel as the Jewish state it is. (This because they want it to be a Muslim state) The Palestinians come to these meetings only to get not to concede anything. It's truly a waste of time for a Jew to show up.
7. who will win ?
Michael ,   Haifa   (03.14.08)
Barak and Netanyahu are competing for the National Opportunism Award
8. talks
colin   (03.14.08)
Finally the pals are starting to understand that they are not the most pressing priority to Israel. It is much more important that Barak be planning setlement construction than to hear that the pals cannot assist in stopping the kassams,or unable to collect guns from al aksa,or crying about new house building,or begging for humanterian aid in gaza or simpley making a lot of nothing.Saeb erakat must give respect to get respect
9. Erekat what are you negotiating ?
(03.14.08)
when qassam is still falling like cherry. it is pointless to have Barak discuss nothing.
10. insulted, huh? time to blow somthing up.
(03.14.08)
11. Fed up with the arabs acting offended, insulted
Guido ,   Milano Italy   (03.14.08)
The whole world is fed up. Arabs can say whatever they want, jews are monkeys, christians are pigs... But for nothing signorina Erekat and his companions feel hurt in their 'dignity' as false cocotes pretending to defend a virginity they don't have.
12. Erekat, learn some "dignity " and "self respect " from Hamas
(03.14.08)
and Hizbullah !
13. To PA: Nobody but Olmert and Bush respects you
Sidney ,   USA   (03.14.08)
Hamas will soon replace you clowns.
14. # 10 ! start with mine
Atilla Karagözoğlu   (03.14.08)
15. Prediction.....take it to the bank!
rami   (03.14.08)
barack will rise to be next prime minister over the dead bodies of pals and lebanese... He will try again to offer the pals & syrians a seemingly generous yet extremely murky undetailed plan which naturally they cannot accept since its later interpretation will be at his discretion...so violence will resume....deja vu? only difference is this time he knows how to handle the lekud better so he will stay longer as a tough security oriented "peace man". The world including israelis will swallow his B.S and will want more...mazel tov
16. Erekat
khader herzallah ,   Dhahran-Saudi Arabia   (03.14.08)
Barak never respected the Pals and considers them occupied people not to be treated as equals.Fayyad and his group must not have attended the meeting and withdrew the moment they realized that he is not attending. They know they will not get anything whether Barak attended or not.No one respects the weak and Abbas and Fayyad are weak because they represent part of the Pals not all of them.
17. oh, poor lill palis.....
oded   (03.14.08)
oi vey , they got dissed.... the only thing they have to worry about is rspect.... bunch of morons!!!!
18. Erekat: why would a "Defence Minister" plan settlements??
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (03.14.08)
19. Why should the Barak negotiate with TERRORIST ?
ben shlomo ,   singapore   (03.14.08)
20. Wha's 'appenin'??????????????
Gideon Reader   (03.14.08)
"Da' Bro be sayin' dat Brack fom' da' Hoood be dissin' the 'rabs wha' be wannin' whaz dere's. Word up. Frontn' da Gilad dude be flashi' in da faces a da Bros, y'unnerstan'(at this point the speaker grabs his crotch and folds his arms across his chest, coccks his head to the side in a sardonic reproachment, whilst pointing his index & middle fingers in various directions, with thumbs elevated.) The strange part of the entire pantomime is that with the accompaniment of several pieces of dropped silverware and cutlery, and the tipping over of a chair with it's clangerous sonic effect, some moronic sub-culture producer may make a fortune as popular music. So to speak)
21. Peacetalks
Britt ,   Gothenburg Sweden   (03.14.08)
When the US starting peacetalks with the Indians, about leaving country to an independent Indian state - then it´s time for Israel to negotiate with the palistinians.
22. Until
Libneniyyeh ,   Beirut/Canada   (03.14.08)
you acknowledge that the Palestinians are a people and this, too, is their homeland you will not get anywhere. Until you respect their right to exist they will never respect you or listen to you. I am sorry, but this is justice. We do not turn the other cheek, nor do we humiliate ourselves. You are the ones who have to start by apologising.
23. Hope for Peace ?
Jean Van Daem   (03.14.08)
"Be gone. Die anywhere you like, but don't die here." PA TV program on Jaffa (Tel Aviv): "It is time for you [Israelis] to be gone. Live wherever you like, but don't live among us. It is time for you to be gone. Die wherever you like, but don't die among us. We have the past here. We have the present, the present and the future. So leave our country, our land, our sea, our wheat, our salt, our wounds. Everything. And leave the memories."These words of hate are the parting moments of yet another program on Palestinian Authority television calling for the destruction of Israel. The words, calling for the expulsion of every last Israeli from Israel, are spoken while the screen is showing Jaffa-Tel Aviv, Israelis and Israeli flags. Official PA TV has aired this twice in recent months. The program about Jaffa opens with a revision of history, by casting the ancient Canaanites as Arabs. By doing this, the more than 3,000 years of Jewish history in the area are pre-dated by a fabricated Arab history. (The Arab Conquest actually took place in the seventh century of the Common Era.) Jaffa, a part of Tel Aviv, is defined as a Palestinian city, and all of Israel's coastal cities, Acre, Haifa, Caesarea, Ashdod, Ashkelon and Jaffa, are said to be situated in what is "known today as Palestine." According to this PA program, Israel is already non-existent.The final words of this television program are those of Israeli-Arab poet, Mahmoud Darwish, calling for the expulsion of every Israeli: "Die wherever you like, but don't die among us." The roots of the hate of Jews can be found at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/communist-roots-of-palestinian_342.html
24. Barak "snub"
george morgenstern ,   rochester, ny   (03.14.08)
Good for Barak......
25. Show some respect -Get some respect...
me ,   here   (03.14.08)
26. Libneniyyeh-It's the Pals looking for a country not Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (03.14.08)
If the Palestinians want territory from Israel so that they can make a country, the least they will have to do is accept Israel as a country. Or else, why should Israel do anything toward Palestinian statehood. Arabs think that all they have to do is threaten everybody with violence and they will fall apart. Europe is like that, not Israel.
27. palestinians upset over barak snub oh deary
(03.14.08)
28. Pals R used to giving orders to World.Dont give orders to IL
Alan ,   SA   (03.14.08)
Palestinians are used to throwing their light weight around with leaders from every country. They cant get their way with Israel or at least, with SOME of its leaders(like Barak)
29. Why should Barak waste his time?
R.Alkalai ,   USA   (03.14.08)
Why should he, or any Jew waste their time with liars, thieves, and terrorists? Israel has nothing to gain in this. No one takes the Arabs seriously any more- all they do is demand, try to re-write history, lie, commit terrorist acts, kill innocent people and blame the Jews for everything, while crying hungry with 2 loaves of bread under each arm. Everyone sees through "Paly-wood", and is tired of it . Even the left is getting disgusted with their antics. So why should Barak waste his time? If the Arabs feel insulted- tell them to get over themselves.
30. palestinians upset over barak snub oh deary
easy rider ,   timbucktoo   (03.14.08)
