1. Disgraceful and Shameless People
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.16.08)
Tel Aviv is as part of the Holy Land as is Jerusalem. Those who flaunt their immorality in Tel Aviv defile the Holy Land of Israel. They wish to disgrace us and humiliate us. This is why they want to parade their perversions in public. They have no legitimate place among the Jewish people.
2. A sad commentary on Israel.
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (03.16.08)
3. Proudly Introducing Gay Tel Aviv
KB ,   Chicago, USA   (03.16.08)
We are supposed to be a light unto the nations, not an example of degeneracy.
4. israel...rotten to the core

5. #1 - Brauner thinks he gets to decide....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (03.16.08)
who has a legitimate place among the Jewish people. What a schmuck! I hope Mayor Huldai's efforts come back tenfold with gay tourists coming not only to Tel Aviv, but to the other cities in our gorgeous, tolerant country! How their presence in the country will "disgrace" or "humiliate" Reuven Brauner from Ra'anana is beyond me. Besides, I bet they'll come like everybody else, to see the sights, worship at the holy sites, slap some mud on at the Dead Sea and enjoy Tel Aviv's museaums, restaurants and clubs. Maybe go up to the north. Enjoy themselves! Where is the "defiling?" Who's "parading perversion?"
6. As a gay American I love it!
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (03.16.08)
As a matter of fact I have a great experience in Israeli and Palestinian gay scene in Israel. I found out that relashionships we have been building are the most spiritual and rewarding. Me and my husband Hassan host many beautiful friends from Israel and Palestine when they are in town. Out club in NY is also organizing parties and events to promote peace and mutual understanding. Peace and Salam to all our gay (and straight) friends. We will be there for you.
7. # 1 Reuven and his usual homophobic rantings
Simon ,   TA Israel   (03.16.08)
Well at least the gays wont be killing people and inciting violence unlike you and your type. Sorry if it offends you that as an Israeli and a jew and a gay man that yes in the year 2008 we have a life. Did i say i live my life according to the Torah? But still you never miss a chance to judge and slander in the name of God do you ? Please keep your religion of hatred and intollernce toyour self. A Do you apply the same hatred towards people that drive on shabbat or women that dont cover their hair. SO its a selctive kind of hatred i see?
8. # 3 more advise from Chicago
Simon ,   TA Israel   (03.16.08)
Thanks for dishing out the advise from Chicago and telling us what we can and can not do. Were here were queer so get over it buddy and but out of our lives. Some example to zionisim you are living in Chicago!
9. You're right - I'll stop supporting Israel or being Jewish!
Eli ,   Netherlands   (03.16.08)
Thanks for pointing out that gay Jews have no right being part of our community. Now that you've taught me better, I'll stop visiting Israel or participating in the Jewish community, also. Maybe I'll join a nice Protestant Church that's more welcoming? Praise Jesus, Eli
10. Gays bring love not war
MuckiLuva   (03.16.08)
Gays are neither a threat to democracy nor peace - their haters are.
11. Right!
Dimitri ,   Jerusalem/Freiburg   (03.16.08)
As a heterosexual from Germany I liked it, when in the first night in TA I saw gays holding hands on TA-promenade, without fearing any harassment. And I thought to me "How great must this countra be, if even gays can live their lives here". I love TA for it's gays. They are an indicator of freedom in the hearts of the people. Gays haters don't understand this simple truth. Instead they attack them just as the very most Muslims do. I thought, we Jews were better and more just then them.

14. #1 Reuven, homosexuality beats any spirituality
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (03.17.08)
I remember when we first met our gay Palestinian friends back in the 80. It was very conservative then.Sado mazo was almost forbidden... Now we have clubs, multiple partners and much better understanding of our culture. For example children adoption became much more common. We have adopted two beautiful boys who are teenagers and trying to adopt more kids... So your gay phobia is out of place. We also have friends who are , straights, lesbians, transexuals and ex straights and there is no comparison... In any case shalom, saalam, Peace to all.
15. #9 #3 and all who are against this idea
Daniel ,   TA previous Chitown   (03.17.08)
First gay events harm exactly NO ONE. Unlike your behaviour which is incitive and can create violent attacks against gay people. Gay tourism brings in MILLIONS of dollars. The Gay Parade in Chicago is the largest city sponsored parade. Halsted Street Market Days is the largest Street Festival in Chicago held in the HEART of the Gay community and the International Mr. Leather Contest is the third largest convention in Chicago bringing in amazing amounts of money into the city. The idea that you would collectively coindemn a community for no reason other than your personal prejudice.is sad. That you would deny Tel Aviv, the most secular city in Israel, an opportunity to benefit from a community that makes up a large part of this city's tourism is sad. Gay tourism in Israel can only benefit everyone. And for the religious people who can not stomach homosexuals ...look at it as an opportunity to teach rather than condemn
16. "Proudly"???
trumpeldor ,   eurabia   (03.17.08)
Why? It is your private way of life, good for you but YOU ARE NOT AN EXAMPLE TO BE FOLLOWED !!!!
17. Whats the big deal?? Number 1
Allan ,   Ramat Ilan, israel   (03.17.08)
As a straight, married man.. I really dont see what all the problem is with this and why there are so many people complaining on here. What difference does it make as it is helping israel with tourism and that helps all of us. Straight, Bi, whatever.... We are meant to be a tolerant people, and some of you are not showing that.. We are meant to be a beacon in this area.. When look what is happeing in Iran to gay people... We should be welcoming and open, and if you have a problem then say so in a decent way.. personally speaking Gay people are not silly, and when in Jerusalem they should be not so open as some religious people take offence. But apart from that, why the big deal about Gay Tourism??? I think its a brilliant idea... Allan
18. #11: Amen
tom ,   Israel   (03.17.08)
19. Gays in TA
Avi   (03.17.08)
Well, it's not the first reason that one would visit Israel. Most people go there to see the Holy and historic places. Still, I do think that there should be places avaiable in Tel Aviv for gays who live there to go-as well as the tourists. There also should be places to go in other areas as well-Haifa, Beer Sheba, Eilat, even Ariel. Why not?
20. #14 You're like a parody unton itself. LOL!!!!!
(03.17.08)
21. Gay in NYC?
Nik   (03.17.08)
It's about real estate in New York, but this video could have gay written all over it....What do you think? http://intothebox.tv/archive/162_Takin'_A_Shine__To_Shoes_and_NYC_Real_Estate Their host grew up in Israel, by the way. Nik
22. Outgames
genkigirl ,   Canada   (03.17.08)
The Outgames are taking place in 2009, not 2008.
23. Right! Let's beg to be Destroyed by Hashem!
kurt ,   san diego   (03.18.08)
If Israel isn't different from the other nations in terms of immorality, then its days are numbered.
24. what a disgrace!!!
david ,   Oakland, USA   (03.18.08)
The middle east is going to hell and all that the leaders of Tel Aviv can think off is to celebrate an inmoral life style. Is it no wonder then that God has not permitted to blossom in Israel?
25. # 24 David in homophobic Oakland
Simon ,   TA Israel   (03.18.08)
Gee thanks David in Oakland USA for telling us how to run our lives here in Isreal. As a gay man and a father of 2 you insult not only me but my family. Israels image is in tatters abroad as a land of conflict and religious extremists. The Gay visitors bring much needed tourism and spend a lot of money here.
26. better check the dates
someone   (03.18.08)
is it 2008 or 2009? shouldn't pinkas first be reelected to the city council? and what about bringing the outgames toTel Aviv, or EuroPride. Didnt the Aguda tried and Huldai didn't help?
27. WHAT? NO GAY PARADES IN TEHRAN?
petra ,   USA   (03.18.08)
AT LEAST ISRAEL DOESN'T HANG THEM IN PUBLIC. QUITE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEATH AND A GAY PARADE. MORE LIVE GAYS IN ISLAMIC NATIONS WOULD SHOW SOME SORT OF TOLERANCE TO A PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT A THREAT TO OTHERS LIVES. LIVE AND LET LIVE SHOULD BE A MESSAGE TO ALL.
28. Pride in sin? are you mad?
Juan ,   Spain   (03.18.08)
29. #14
Juan ,   Spain   (03.18.08)
Excuse me while I vomit.
30. #24 - David, LGBT(Q) idiocy in "The Bay"...
Joe ,   Los Angeles, CA   (03.18.08)
Oddly enough, my experience tells me that the "progressive" LGBT(Q) community in the Bay Area is pretty anti-Israel, even though Israel is the only country in the Middle East that actually recognizes marriages between gays and lesbians as being legally valid. I always find my trips to the Bay Area fascinating... Don't these "progressive"-types understand that "the Palestinian cause" is violently homophobic? Talk about a big DUHHHHHHHHH!
