I would think that, since the parents had been trying to convert Muslims in their area, it would have been more likely to have been Muslims responsible for this. They tend not too look favourably on missionaries, as you can see from treatment of missionary Christians in Saudi Arabia.

I don't agree with Messianic Judaism (and I don't agree with Reform Judaism either). But I do have some friends who are Messianic Jews, and truth be told: Messianic Jews are Jewish by blood.
