31. #13 According to your talkbacks,YOU ARE NOT JEWISH AT ALL!
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (04.02.08)
There is NOTHING that makes you jewish. You are just a "feh"(according to your own vocabulary) who happen to live in Israel. You don't belong to us. What do you think makes you jewish Ms.FEH?
32. Perfectly said, Miriam.
Kev ,   London   (04.02.08)
33. Talula, the trade off isn't so simple.
Kev ,   London   (04.02.08)
Your sentimental opinions are too simplistic. If you allow gays the rights that they want, you sacrifice your children to living in an unhealthy environment. Sexual crimes are amongst the most AWFUL that any society produces. Handing the next generation a society where such crimes are more likely to happen to human beings is infinitely worse in G-d's eyes, than any amount of animal sacrifice.
34. animal rights
Lenny ,   NC US   (04.02.08)
The prophets say that in the last days that the morning and evening sacrifices will resume, (Isaiah to be exact), and presumably YHWH still accepts sacrifices to HIM. The only place man can do business with HIM is on HIS Holy Mountain. Scriptures also warn that anyone that speaks against these sacrifices will be in grave danger of judgment from the Almighty. So, with that in mind I think I will just say, Omein, when they begin. Thanks, Lenny
35. Beyond ,let the clowns of "Let Animals Live "
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (04.02.08)
go to bash samaritans and stop bashing Jews. What a CLOWNS! Paint the nose of Eti Altman and you will see the CLOWN! If ,maybe,it shouldn't occur the sacrifice ,it is only because we don't have yet the Temple and not for the reasons these clowns assume.
36. The final korban
Sharon ,   Singapore   (04.02.08)
No need for anymore blood sacrifices to atone for sins because Yeshua paid it in full by His shed blood. He is the Pesach Lamb that was slaughtered once and for all. He is the final korban. B'H!
37. If people are not supposed to eat animals...
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (04.02.08)
Why are they made out of meat?
38. #21 Innocent Human Beings
Aviva ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.02.08)
Animals should not be killed but you are in favor of sacrificing HUMAN BEINGS and paying to watch? This is the sickest TB I have ever seen on YNet.
39. What a bunch of hypocrites
Chaim   (04.02.08)
The Muslims sloughter thousands of animals in their holidays. But no one ever criticizes them.
40. Talula is an Arab Transexual and is very sensitive
Nick ,   Israel   (04.02.08)
Did you know that people who eat meat and fish suffer far less from depression. Get yourselves a life. Eat and be merry for tomorrow we die.
41. Sacrifices
Marilyn ,   USA   (04.02.08)
I was under the general impression in Judaism that there couldn't be sacrifices outside the temple and that prayer was substituted instead. Maybe somewhere along the line I missed something?
42. Kyle #37
jewish mother ,   jerusalem   (04.02.08)
Funniest Talkback of the week. Thank you so much from the wig-wearing sponger.
43. This isn't a real sacrifice in the Jewish religious sense
Roman ,   Lod   (04.03.08)
So I don't see a reason to neither attack nor defend it for religious reasons. This is merely publicly slaughtering an animal for educational purposes, and the meat won't be going to waste either - it will either be sold or donated. I see no reason to object to this from an animal rights angle, seeing as nothing here is overtly cruel - beyond the standard unavoidable cruelty of any animal slaughter. Will the watching public supposedly make it more painful, is that the point? And for whom, exactly? Not for the animal, certainly, but for those who object to any animal slaughter by default and would at least prefer to keep it in private enclosed slaughterhouses - so that they can't see it. In short, I call this bullshit. From the religious angle, I *am* bothered by the fact that this resembles a real sacrifice too much, and may constitute a mockery of the the fact that we can't make sacrifices anymore - lacking the Temple. And to some of the Christians (or "Messianic Jews") posting... Please, your crap gets tiresome after a while. Either respect the fact that there are other paths other than yours - and that your endless attempts at converting Jews just remind people of the very painful past (read up on the Inquisition). We're here, we're staying Jewish, get used to it already.
44. #28 They can build one
Josh   (04.03.08)
Alters are nothing more than uncut stones stacked up. Although many believe the Temple is the only place where you can offer to God, others would argue differently. I guess it boils down to how much love for God, we have. Abraham did it in the dessert. Torah states Hargrezeem is the place where a blessings are issued and Har Ebal is where cureses are issued. Possibly you can give me the text of Torah that states God chose the Temple Mount as the only place for sacrafice for Torah states God will chose it. Or maybe summarize why the Rabbis think it is.
45. Back to the Stone Age
EM ,   Ra'anana   (04.03.08)
Next thing on their list will be to stone adulterers in public. What a wonderful world these people propose...under the guise of Judaism.
46. Anyone that can look into this animals eyes then
Talula ,   Israel   (04.03.08)
slaughter it in the name of tradition/religion is a sick heartless bastard. That's all I have to say and NO-ONE will make me change my mind or try to make me see it from another point. IT'S EVIL, SICK AND OUTDATED AND HAS NO PLACE IN MODERN SOCIETY!!!!!!!
47. talula
jman ,   neve yaakov   (04.03.08)
has it dawned on you that this slaughter is maybe symbolic, and they are going to actually eat it. the passover sacrifice had to be completely eaten. it's not about this that you spew your crap, you have a problem with religion as a whole.
48. #46 Talula Look into YOUR eyes and heart and you'll see
Miriam ,   Israel   (04.03.08)
evil and hatred towards the Torah and religious Jews. As I told you yesterday, if you feel so sick about G-d and His Torah, that's because you're illiterate. Start learning and you'll feel better.
49. #44
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (04.03.08)
"Possibly you can give me the text of Torah that states God chose the Temple Mount as the only place for sacrafice for Torah states God will chose it." Now I ask you: Where is stated in the Torah that it can happen anywhere? First ,they(the sacrifices) were commanded to JEWISH PEOPLE to be done at the Mishcan, and after at the Temple. What Avraham did at the desert was not yet a command to Jewish People. And we are talking about the Jewish people, and the Jewish people received the Torah and the commandents at the Sinai.
50. Call me whatever you like
Talula ,   Israel   (04.03.08)
Knock yourselves out and have fun. Doesn't change the fact that I am not the one slaughtering animals for the sake of some sick and vile religious ritual. It doesn't change the fact that religious or not, I find this entire thing offensive and repellent and medieval. Yes, I’m a Jew and I’m proud of it but I will NEVER EVER take my religion to outer limits of normal human decency or will I ever become one of you heteroclite bunch of misfits. The sad thing about all you believers is that you follow each other like sheep. There's something very ironic going on here. That’s my last word on this subject.
51. # 41 Marilyn in response
petra ,   usa   (04.03.08)
Judaism was changed. From sacrificial animals to prayer. ( WHY?) G-d never okayed this. and the levite priests were also changed to substitute Rabbis for Levites.(WHY?)God never okayed this. Perhaps this is why Judaism is nothing like what we were once commanded to do? We go afoul when we ignore directions from our Higher Authority. Interestingly enough, many Jews have no remberance of the original commandments. My question is, why would G-d change His mind? Answer( I believe) is that men took over the charge of what's holy to what's profane.
52. What about Samaritan sacrifice?
Eliyahu   (04.03.08)
These animal activists are anti-Jewish. The samaritans do a massive animal sacrifice every year and the have never said a word.
53. No wonder Israel and Israelis are but a remnant.
petra ,   usa   (04.03.08)
Look how a simple commandment can be held hostage by anti G-d 'seculars'. I believe the correct word is 'rebellion'. Most probably these same complainers are vegetarians? Such crap and hypocricy. If you eat an egg, you've 'killed' a chicken. Most people who eat meat don't do the slaughtering just the eating. We are told how to butcher an animal so as to not cause unnecessary pain and to do so hygenically. Whether or not one does the butchering or the eating, unless your a vegetarian, we are all the same. Why should we risk the anger of our G-d to satisy those who disregard the directives given to Moses? The ten Commandments, are not a chinese menu where you choose from coulmn A or coulmn B. Next, these same cpmplainers will ask to change the Sabbath to Sunday! Thanks to G-d PETA wasn't around in Moses time!
54. Nedxt time you wolf down that Big Mac, think about this:
DrRJP ,   Florida, USA   (04.03.08)
The purpose of ritual sacrifice is the antithesis of keeping cattle in narrow stalls for most of their lives, and then smashing their heads in - many times more than once. The animals in commercial slaughter houses are treated incredibly cruelly and without any reverence for their lives. Millions of beef-eaters could care less. This is totally unlike ritual sacrifice which teaches people to respect all life, that all life belongs to G-d, and that G-d provides not only a way to satisfy Man's hunger for food but also for spiritual guidance. This is G-d's system, not Man's.
55. Passover sacrifice.
Ana ,   USA   (04.03.08)
Not only this people show the complete ignorance in their own religion, but at the same time preach others about what they do NOT know. Arrogance at its worst: By the way I love animals, but I love people even more!.
56. #49 is incorrect
Josh   (04.03.08)
You forgot some people. God did not give Torah to the Judah only. He first established his Torah with the fathers and then he added to it what Moses alone delivered. He gave the Torah (with its laws) you mention to the Hebrews. This includes not only the 12 tribes, one being Judah, but also all the souls that were collected to them. The very same that went down to Egypt. Torah is pretty clear about who went down to Egypt. These families had babies and grew, so much so that the Pharoh was frightened of them assisting his enemies and overthrowing his rule. Just because the curses dispersed the nation of Israel "to serve the gods of others" under forced conversions and asymilation does not mean the Torah or clinging to the one true God is not still their obligation. They did not forfeited their obligations to the one tribe (Judah). Judah lost many to messianic claims such as Christianity. Christians are a sect of Judah. The fallen still remaind locked by the obligation of chose a blessing or chose a curse.
57. The Killing of Animals
Wisconsin Marshall ,   USA   (04.04.08)
Animals should only be killed for food(debatable) as painlessly as possible; or killed in self-defense. They should not be killed for religious or educational purposes.
58. Enlightenment
Martin Freed ,   Dayton, Ohio, USA   (04.04.08)
I find this Let Animals Live are the unenlightened .....
59. China is cruel to animals
Leon ,   LA USA   (04.04.08)
Go to you-tube and see how China skins dogs, racoons and other animals ALIVE. I seen dogs with no eye lids still alive. They beat these animals with a stick many times and give up and start skining. This sacrafice is done because The bible predicted it and it will happen. Argue with God see how far you get. Pray your complaint. LOL Love of animals more than people.
60. Animal lovers
Raphael ,   Netanya   (04.04.08)
Hitler was a vegetarian and was devoted to his german shepherd; so it became nationalsocialistically correct not to use vivisection on animals, as Dr Mengele had so many jewish kids available.
