Israeli bus kills Palestinian shepherd; locals say act intentional     Efrat Weiss and Reuters
1. what
Possible, but highly unlikely. Not only would the buss driver have to be extremely evil to intentionally run down a teenage boy with the bus, he would have to be extremely reckless, since the teenager was riding a donkey. Even a vehicle as large as a bus can easily run out of control and roll, wreck, etc. after hitting something the size of a donkey. As far as the comment that three Palestinians have been killed by vehicles in the area lately: I believe it. Practically everyone in Israel, Jew, Arab, whoever, drive like maniacs. People all over the country are always getting run over. The said truth is ALL people there need to drive more responsibly, and pedestrians need to walk like they have some sense.

2. Oi...not Ali Waked again...
This story is so incredibly unlikely, its a wonder this person has a journalistic liscence!
what?   (04.07.08)
3. I hope the donkey survived.

5. Settler Bus? Give me a break
Ali, you know how ridiculous that sounds. I wish Ynet would stop printing reports about accidents where the only eye witnesses seem to be Palastinian relatives. Is this professional reporting when theres always 2 sides to the story? Ali, your propaganda is getting a bit repetitive and tiring. As if a driver would risk his passengers lives to try and run over a Palastinian on a donkey.

6. STUPID- LIKE USAUL
Are you a complete moron of a writer. This is worse than hamas tv. Are there no survivors of the bus that you could interview. WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVER!!! No, i am sure those 'witnesses' wont lie. I am sure after all the 'media bashing' that the residents of Elon Moreh have gotten, this would be the last thing they would want to be accused of.
jim lopinyl ,   ireland   (04.08.08)
7. as accident, horrible; if intentional, horrible crime.
I support the right of the Jews to live in the Holy Land. slanders against the Jews are common and, so, a careful investigation is required. if the death of this shepherd were the result of an intentional act, it is a crime, perhaps a murder, and should result in prosecution. in any case, one extends one's condolences to the family of the shepherd. it is horrible.

10. even if the driver did it intentionally
the difference is Israel would arrest him and then have a trial. If it was a Palestinian bus driver that killed a Israel(Jew), he would be as a hero and candy would be passed out.

11. When Zionist buses attack?

12. palestinian witnesses only?
just how credible is this report? was there any israeli's who can confirm this story, only then will I believe it. Hope the poor donkey survived :-)
leah ,   socal usa   (04.08.08)
13. Reporting for bias
No driver is going to intentionally wreck their bus, it is just too great a financial loss. In any case the driver is responsible not the passengers so the entire tone of the article is inflammatory and biased without any logical justification.

14. Dan Bus Company: Settler bus?
Most of the Tel Aviv lines are from Dan, does that make everyone there "settlers" too? I guess "containing incitement, slander and racist slurs" does not apply to the articles published by YNET
Ilan ,   Ariel   (04.08.08)
15. Awful! Embarrassing!
The bus driver should be put on trial.
Michael Safyan ,   Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.   (04.08.08)
16. Sounds more like a video game...
...than reality. I agree with other talkbacks. This is not journalism, it is encitement. Pallywood cuts and edits. Scripted lies. If I recall, running over innocent people is what Palestinian terrorist do with someone elses truck or bus.
Josh   (04.08.08)
17. #5 agree with you;
complete obliteration of media access is the only hope to tighten the siege. Then, you will never hear such stories.
observer   (04.08.08)
18. donkies only authorized
Israel has authorized Palestinians to use the settlement's main road to reach their agricultural lands. What do you mean by settlers' roads, settlers' bus are those special brands in Palestinian lands?

19. Going from low standards to no standards.
Giving credance to ridiculous accusations such as this in the guise of a "news report" is unconscionable. This is not "news" it is propaganda & should be clearly labeled as such. The story as presented is obviously unbelievable and is just one in a long series of reports of a similar nature where unfounded & unsupported accusations are presented as fact. This is not journalism by any normal standard definition of the term. We expect this from Arab media who have a long history of disseminating bizarre lies & conspiracy theories but to publish this crap in an Israeli media outlet is shameful.

It's his own fault.

22. Jews, the common in the Holy Land
would the settler passengers testify in their witness against the driver? A settler Jew has chosen a G-d Who forgives that little mistake for him.
observer   (04.08.08)
23. Reuters is a viciously anti-semitic slander organisation
no to Reuters   (04.08.08)
24. #5 3Jay3 - I'm surprised they didn't interview the donkey.
But the donkey & his relatives would be more likely to tell the truth than the Palestinians .... Imagine slanting the story another way - a little spin, so to speak. What if the headline read, "Palestinian rams bus deliberately according to witness." Same event, same "facts" - but the story is not the facts of the event, the story is the accusation which is why it's propaganda.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (04.08.08)
25. The Ten Commandments
I´m not from Israel, and I`m not a Jew - and I can´t understand how the passangers can be responsible for how the busdriver handles his vehicle - but isn´t the settlers comitted to the torah - and in that case, they will follow The Ten Commandments - You shalt not kill - is one of them. So try to kill someone who hasn´t done them any harm - it´s really a stupid accusation.
Sanna   (04.08.08)
26. A bus carrying settlers? Why not a bus carrying
Jews? I'm very sorry for the young shepherd and his family and I do not believe these evil "settlers" would deliberately run over another human being, arab or not. The same cannot be said for the other side.
(04.08.08)
27. it came to our attention that
the bus' passengers rejoiced and danced after the bus hit the boy. The settlers are unlike the Arabs who rejoice for their own martyrs. that's the real culture of revenge.
observer   (04.08.08)
28. #25 innocent killing is not murdering
The Ten Commandments - You shalt not murder - do not apply for innocent killing. To know that all Jews' acts are innocent is sufficient, no investigation is need. I´m not from Israel, and I`m not a Jew.
observer   (04.08.08)
29. #28
I don´t know if you ever been in Israel - I have, several times, and I have a son there since december, so I know the majority have high moral standards - belivers or not. The muslims moral depends of the benefit for them.
Sanna   (04.08.08)
30. #29 you said it
"I know the majority have high moral standards", So why bother go to a court?
