1. Where is Palestine?
redmike ,   tel aviv   (04.09.08)
2. Well done YNET - keep up the pressure
Chanalau, Tova ,   London, UK   (04.09.08)
An execellent example of the power of the press; show up Israel' for what it is: petty, small minded and vindictive. Once the West realises that Israel's fascist policies have no connection with the humane and decent values cherished by the Jewish People over the centuries, it will cease its blind acquiessence with the Occupation and realize that the Zionists have led us up a blind alley.
3. and where exactly lies palestine?
Maarten ,   Finland   (04.09.08)

But can he run faster than a Qassam?
5. Gaza athlete
NYC Girl   (04.09.08)
Since the situation with this athlete has been resolved, perhaps those same human rights groups will now have time to plead for the release of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers...assuming they're still even alive.
6. thank god chanallah (jihad) is happy

7. Re: #1 and #3
David H.   (04.09.08)
Palestine did exist as a unique territory under the British mandate. Obviously, it was not a country. Today, it still does not exist as an official country because Israel prevents it, and are occupying several parts of the West Bank. Nevertheless, it is not because Israel or Israelis do not recognize Palestine as a state that it does not exist conceptually. Anyone who do not aknowledge that there are over 3 million persons in Gaza and the West Bank that 1) form a distinct population from that of Israel; 2) live in a limited; geographicaly delimited territory where Israelis do not live and 3) live on a territory that is neither part of Jordan or Egypt, not on the internationally recognized borders of Israel --- well, these people are blind or then they refuse to aknowledge the obvious.
8. bravo!
Libneniyyeh ,   Beirut/Canada   (04.09.08)
that's the spirit! I agree with Chanalau that these are the decent Jewish values. On the other hand: to 1: Palestine lies under your feet to 3: Palestine lies 3248 km southeast of your sorry a--
9. Palestine at the Olympics
Dementia Preacox ,   U.S.A..   (04.09.08)
I agree with the other posters on where exactly is Palestine? And also why should they be allowed to go,not like any Tibetan athletes will be allowed by Chinas Commie rulers..
10. Palestine Olympian
Don Quinne ,   Toronto   (04.09.08)
Hey Redmike, comments like that are silly. Unless supporters of either side of this conflict realize that "the other" is not going away, things will never be better. I wholeheartedly support Israel, but how can you deny that there is "something" called Palestine.
11. Ha! His Name is Masri!
Thomas   (04.09.08)
Masri means Egyptian. How many Masris actually make up the formerly Egyptian Gazan Strip, now home to the so-called Palestinians?
12. Prepresent Palestine?
Israel   (04.09.08)
Right now, there is NO country called Palestine.
13. they call it
observer   (04.09.08)
Is every defeat of Israeli authorities, they call it 'humanitarian gesture'?
14. #1 and #2 Actualy they represent Judea not Palestine
ילד מתוק   (04.09.08)
15. #11 - Thomas, Abbas is Greek for 'Abbot'
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (04.09.08)
Isn't it funny how these 'Palestinians' have names like Masri, al-Halabi, Abbas and Kassis and claim to still be 'indigenous'?
16. No. 9
NYC Girl   (04.10.08)
Speaking of the Tibetans, somebody recently made that comment that the best way for them to get their own state...would be to blow themselves up in Tel Aviv.
17. 'palestinian' athlete's exit visa
elliot ,   usa   (07.22.08)
