The EU monitors kept running away everytime the going got tough so they are a complete waste of time better off going back to Europe and worrying about things that dont concern them. Egypt has allowed the terrorists to smuggle in to many weapons, before Hamas just wanted to smuggle in rockets to fire at Israel so Egypt made the odd token arrest and didnt bother with the rest because they would like to see Israel hurt just same as Hamas. Now their strenghening of Hamas is coming back to haunt them. Last time Hamas came into Egypt Mubarak threatened to break the leg of anybody who came into Egypt now they are getting ready for shoot to kill. Arab brotherly love. Hamas thought taking Gaza was ging to give them more power now the organisation is starting to crumble They have been isolated from Fatah so they have l;ost their political power in the PA Neither the west or Israel has been willing to negotiate with them. The borders have been sealed allowing only very basics to get through. This is how you deal with terrorists .. you lock them up and punish them in a way which gives them no oportunity to defend themselves from .. you cant kill a soilder if there are no soilders there but your still feeling the pain because your fighting a loosing battle.

More civility and less threats and violence. I feel bad for the people in Gaza that are prisoners. Hamas was a change from corrupt Fatah, but the vote for Hamas appears to be a horrible decision for the residents of Gaza. Just ask, oops..sorry can't.. the people who were thrown from rooftops.

Hosni can't afford to look foolish in front of the Arab nation and therefore when the borders are breached he will do nothing out of fear. Come to think of it, Mubarak and Olmert are very much alike. Cowardly.

would quit making demands that the threaten to back up with force and start playing nice then maybe they would get somewhere. But then they wouldn't get what they want, would they? Destroy Isreal or die.
6. Egypt and the “Palestinians”.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.10.08)
Hamas hopes for a dialogue between Hamas and Egypt "over the future mechanisms for operating the border crossing to allow goods and passengers to travel between Gaza and Egypt freely without restrictions." Hamas should ask more : It would be fair for Egypt to be the first Arab country to take its part in the historical responsibility of the Arab refugees problem and help to solve it by accepting the Gazan Arabs and integrating them. That would solve the Palestinian refugees problem as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi7ku
