1. Cut them off...and leave it off
Brent Garner ,   Lawrence, US   (04.12.08)
It baffles me why the Israeli leadership does not simply cut off the flow of fuel and electricity and leave it off. The one time this was done, albeit briefly, the rocket fire and other terrorist actions from Gaza scaled down to zero. I know the international community would howl, but let them howl. One should not be required to feed and supply one's enemy.
2. low on fuel??
jo moor   (04.12.08)
They should as low on ammo as they are on fuel. Maybe then the violence will settle down. If they do run out of fuel they can either pose for more fake life by candlelight as previously, or chose to wander around in the desert and think of the Israelis at pesach/passover time. Matzah ado about nothing methinks.
3. Am I supposed to care?
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (04.12.08)
Or did Ynet print this to cheer me up? Now really, who cares if they have gas or electricity? The employees of the company that supplies gas should refuse to work at the crossings. What sane person would risk their life to deliver gas to people who murder those who work there? And the gas company is guilty for endangering the lives of their employees. Of course, we know that this gov't. of idiots & losers will continue to supply the gas. Sure, as if they care about anyone else besides themselves. There will be morons who tell us to look at the "bigger picture" - you know, the "sacrifice for peace" crowd. Other jerks will make a few more empty threats. In the meantime, Ynet has a lot of nerve trying to elicit sympathy for Gaza by printing articles like this. Isn't it bad enough that our gov't takes no action to protect our security, do we need a media that is sympathetic to people who do their best to murder us?

5. No solution for Gaza.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.12.08)
At least five Hamas terrorists were killed, and several were wounded… The dead and wounded terrorists were reported to be member of… In another incident two Fatah terrorists were shot and killed…. And so on… It is time to understand that a “Palestinian state” is not the solution. The Arabs should think about emigrating, discretely, to other Arab countries before it is too late, (most of these countries are not very populated and can easily integrate them). That is the real solution as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5c8
6. The cycle of hypocrisy
Jul ,   Liverpool   (04.12.08)
On a one-week span, I see, in this order : - Israel delivering one week worth of supplies to a hostile territory - arabs from Gaza attacking the transit point RIGHT AFTER the delivery is completed - the shutdown of the transit point - arabs from gaza complaining their supplies will be used up a week after the attack and that it'll trigger a humanitarian crisis - Israel resuming deliveries over humanitarian concerns Well it seems to me that arabs got the concept of media coverage and spin well deep in their mind. They attack the hand that feeds them and get away with it everytime. How about not ceding to pressure and let them in the dark until a riot topples hamas ?
7. Cutting fuel to Gazans
Miriam ,   Israel   (04.12.08)
I agree with all three posters. You do not feed the dog that is trying to bite you.You put a bullet in its head and if not he'll come back and kill you. Yes I too am surprised by this news outlet who is trying to be politically correct by publishing the drivel.
8. Maintenance
John Silver ,   Lakeland, USA   (04.12.08)
Shut down the Nahal Oz fuel terminal for a complete overhaul. Isn't it time for safety about now? Might take a month or two to complete it? Then can resume shipments of fuel to the Gaza strip if everything passes inspection and after repairs are completed, until then, the people in Gaza will just have to burn wood, or whatever else they can find.

stop of delivering fuel before, was a big lie. how surprising. the annoying part of it that almost the whole world accept their lies as truth
13. I like collective punishment.
Best israeli blog at ,   Israellycool.com   (04.12.08)
An overwhelming majority voted for Hamas. Hamas is responsible for its people's actions. To remain supplying power and fuel to your enemy? THAT IS INSANE.
14. A story so big

it could have been imagined by my own fictional creator
15. I feel your pain Gaza
Ehud Olmert ,   Ramallah   (04.12.08)
That is why I will order the IDF to take the 'pain' of the palis to heart and reopen the terminal no matter how many Israeli civilians are killed.
16. The Independent Muslim State of Gaza
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (04.12.08)
You wanted your freedom, now live in it. International law and common sense does not require us to trade with you, especially at a time of war! All your fellow arabs are drowning in oil. Why do you believe we should supply any to an enemy state? Yet, even when we do, you willfully murder those delivering the supplies. BOTTOM LINE: You wanted to be on your own, so you are. Enjoy your freedoms! Freedom comes with responsibilities.
17. Biting The Hand That Feeds You
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (04.12.08)
You have to admit that Hamas is pretty dumb. They attack the fuel terminal and then expect Israel to keep giving them fuel. Definitely a winner of the "Morons of the Week Award" - although they seem to win it every week.

Jerry ,   Eilat, Israel   (04.12.08)
When Hamas allowed the attack on the fuel transfer plant, they were trying to cut the supply of fuel. So we are simply trying to be helpful.
23. Shut off ht electric, AND shut off the water.
hymie zoltsveis ,   NYC USA   (04.13.08)
this is just another Hamas PR scam. Let teh electric go off, and shut off the water to this enemy state. The phony palestinains have been getting BILLIONS for years. If they spend it on bombs and rockets---TOUGH LUCK!! If these little babies don't like it---MOVE!
