Ahmed, It doesn't help that Carter lies outright. The ratio is 4 to 1, not 40 to 1. Carter is simply lying. 2nd intifada: 1000 Israelis, mostly civilians, vs 4000 Palestinians, the majority of whom were combatants. The Israeli civilians were all targeted specifically because they were civilians. The Palestinian civilians tragically died most often because Israeli response to terrorism was deliberately drawn into civilian areas by unscrupulous Palestinian combatants.

Carter's policies towards the Shah led to the takeover of Iran by this dictatorship. The Shah trusted him but he didn't come through for the Shah. First of all since you wrote forcefully but respectfully advocating your position, I will answer you in a respectful manner as well. If all we knew about Carter was limited to what was written here, I could understand your point. However, Carter totally mishandled the hostage crisis in Iran. While the Shah and the Savak may not have been ideal, Iran enjoyed a very high standard of living in almost every aspect of life. Under Carter's watch Khomeini rose to power and mushroomed into the worst threat the world has ever known with Arab/Moslem threatening almost every nation from Japan, Phillipines, India, France, England, Spain, etc. Instead of joining with Russia to fight the Taliban, Carter boycotted the Olympics in 1980 and destroyed the hopes of many American athletes in a totally futile and infantile gesture. The fall of Iran was echoed with the fall of Lebanon which was once the Monaco of the Levant as Hezbollah took over Lebanon and murdered political leader after another. I began respectfully addressing an adversary. Another such adversary was Anwar Sadat who first used cunning to attack us on Yom Kippur the Holiest Day but later lost the war. In the end he fathered the new rules of politics in the Middle East and initiated the speech in Israel before the Kenneset which ultimately lead to peace accords between Israel and Egypt. Carter was a worthless parasite who hitchhiked on the momentum of Begin and Sadat and contributed absolutely nothing. In fact Carter only lasted 1 term and was resoundingly booted out of office by the American public. But to really understand what an idiot Jimmy is one must look back to his family. One famous incident was with his "smarter" brother Billy who was followed by the press. One day Billy was going down the stairs of a private plane at an airport and had to urinate. So he proceeded to urinate on the tarmac in front of all of the reporters. This may give you an incite into Carter's genetics. If you look at Carter's family tree you will see that his father is still in the tree and they have been trying to get him down for years.
